I am seriously trying to root my s6 active because I am sick of using a non rooted phone it's boring . I am just wondering is it possible to root a Samsung Galaxy S6 active . I am sure you can root a S6 edge and the regular Samsung Galaxy S6
Developers beware, someone is pissed off because there's no root for S6 Active. You should start rooting this device now, otherwise who knows what a bored man can do.

You know if you read around the forums you'd see there's currently an active bounty on trying to get root.

Everything I have read about the S6 Active states the internals are exactly the same. Does that mean when the S6 is updated on At&t, I can expect to get the update on the S6 Active? :fingers-crossed:

Is there any way of tricking Vodafone Wallet app that the model is S6 Edge Plus instead of Note 5(SM-N920C)
There are subtle difference between the S6 Edge Plus and my Note 5, but seeing that the Note 5 wasn't officially released in most countries, I can't use the Vodafone Wallet app on my Note 5 because the latest model supported by the app is S6 Edge Plus.
Even though I have an Vodafone SmartPass and the NFC Sim.
Is there any way?

Check your Build.prop file in System Partition. You will need root access, which I guess might kill payment apps like the one you want to trick.
Build.prop has a line which states the type of your device.
I forgot to mention that I'm not rooted... So I guess I'm out of luck....

Mods for the S6 Edge will not work on the S6 Edge Plus, Sorry. It has been a long time and no progress on the S6 Edge Plus.

I am sure its possible with root but youd need to know how to port apks and frameworks or integrate frameworks etc. or wait for an experienced dev to do it.

Why would ATT not offer advanced messaging for the S6 & S6 Edge now that they are running Android 6.0.1 marshmallow.
I think is strange the LG phones that updated to 6.0.1 received this feature. It seems like it shouldn't have been hard for them to add especially since the first phones to ever have it were Samsung's S6 Active and S5 Mini.
