Hey Guys, I noticed something weird. Since about 2 weeks my notifications are not live anymore. They come all in one go (emails, taptalk, whatsapp). I am on Data. I don't know what triggered this as I was just grateful that deep sleep was fixed. Any ideas what is limiting the push notifications? I am on 6.0.1
Its like the phone is stuck in battery saving mood? any ideas guys?

Hi all,
Basically on my P1000, the screen gets woken up whenever it receives a notification. I personally receive a lot of notifications from eBay night and day, so it gets pretty annoying very quickly.
What I would like to know, is that is there a way to prevent screen wake when reviving notifications?
I don't think it has ever done that on my HTC devices, so it must be something to with how Samsung implements it I guess.
I am on Overcome 2.0.0 RC1.
You help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks.
EDIT -
Or better yet, is there any app that would allow me to change the screen wake, sound, vibration, etc of each notification in the system? I googled and also had a look in the market, but couldn't find anything obvious...
I've the same room, and my tablet remains screen off when I receive something... mail, twitter, gtalk, whatsup...
Only the screens goes on when receiving calls... And this is normal

This happens to me aswell, but i dont mind so much, as i have my phone on silent most the time.
but you could possibly try and do somthing with tasker, but it would probably be uber hard
sorry to dredge up an old post, but was a solution for this ever found?
Okay folks, I wonder if anyone out there can help... My One is randomly vibrating once, with no notification, and I can't figure out why.
Other threads point to similar issues but not the same problem I have. I've been troubleshooting a lot, but can't narrow it down much. What I know so far:
Appears random. Not a particular time, battery level etc
No notifications appear in the bar. It can happen even when I'm looking at the phone and there is no visual indicator.
I have a Pebble watch, so most notifications can and do come through to the watch - no notifications on it when the vibrate happens.
It also doesn't seem to be any kind of dropped Bluetooth connection with my Pebble, as the Pebble doesn't notify of a lost connection like it normally would.
I have also read threads for other HTC phones where it pointed to nfc being switched on. While I do usually leave NFC on, the vibrate still happens even when I disabled NFC
.
I was holding off until Vodafone decide to release the Sense 6 update, but I'm not holding my breath there...
Is there anything that I could investigate? I was trying to avoid rooting or modding the phone for as long possible, but would be prepared to do it. However, I don't really fancy going down that road if the problem will still be there.
Suggestions appreciated!

If your phone is not modified in any way, the best thing to do is take it to service
Can't think of a good sig
Hello,
I originally wanted to post in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2497660&page=213 but I wasn't allowed to because i'm new and whatnot.. so if anyone who knows where this post belongs could put it there i'd be thankful
To my problem, i really don't know what's going on but something is keeping my phone awake. i already greenified every possible app i have there, i have removed all widgets from my home screen, turned every locationsetting i could find off and left my phone in flight mode for 4 hours after completely charging and it still won't sleep. I'd be really thankful for any help with this
Wakelock Detector http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2179651
the 3rd screenshot is from wakelock detector.. but still thanks for the reply...
here are some more screenshots.. although they dont tell me that much honestly
info http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/help/suspendbackoff-wakelock-killing-battery-t2460576 and here http://www.reddit.com/r/nexus4/comments/1fhib2/suspend_backoff_wakelock/
ok again i am actually really thankful that you tried to help me it just sucks if you don't know whats wrong and have to find your way through all that stuff alone.
but the thing is that in these 4 hours where i had 9 seconds of deep sleep i didnt use the phone, i had wlan turned off, was in airplane mode, had all apps greenified, i dont have chrome installed or any other potential source so... and as far as i get it suspend backoff is activated if there are to many wakeup calls in a short period of time which somehow was the case...
but all that said i updated to cm 11 yesterday and the problem is gone. today i had it online connected to my wlan for a couple of hours without using it (still most apps marked in greenify) and well the pictures speek for themselves
ok scratch my last post.. we are back where we left >( and i have a feeling its one of the google apps. god i dont wanna delete apps one by one until i maaaaybe have it back to normal
[Q] Priority notification mode turning off on its own, even on "Indefinitely"?
The last few nights I've noticed that when I wake up, my phone is no longer in priority notification mode. At night, I set it to priority only and choose "indefinitely"...even verifying that it's on that setting by going back to it...and when I wake up, it's in normal mode.
I have no "Down Time" hours set and see no other settings that seem to imply turning it off automatically...
Anyone else have this issue?
Thanks!

Yes I'm having the same issue as you described. Noticed it 2 nights ago and thought I was disabling it in my sleep, lol.
Any work arounds? I'm thinking of doing a factory reset but not until I've exhausted all possible solutions. Hope this is an actual issue and not just 1 or 2 stray scenarios

I never figured it out. Switched back to using Light Flow for notifications...

Okay last night I uninstalled Light Flow which seemed to have been the problem causing this behavior. It seems to automatically want to disable priority mode but I don't know what exactly is triggering it, but uninstalling Light Flow seemed to have retained priority mode all night long with no issues upon waking up.
I also updated my review on the Play Store to address the issue, hoping for a fix soon. Hopefully you figure out your problem, mine was caused by a notifications app from what I've tested so far. Will see if it holds up tonight as well.

Having same issue, no additional notification apps installed. Stock android on nexus 6 no root or anything yet. Thought I was loosing my mind thinking I never set it. Happens almost every night. Seems like a bug.
I'm having the opposite. On boot, priority mode is enabled even though it was off on shutdown. I turn it off then throughout the day I notice it come on again. I haven't been able to track anything down yet. I don't use lightflow.
Are there any logs that I can see that might tell me what is turning it on? There are no Downtime schedules.

So I finally got tired of Light Blow being buggy on the Nexus 6 and uninstalled it a few days ago...two nights in a row I set priority to "indefinitely" and when I woke up I found it had been turned off...so I don't think it's Light Flow causing the problem.
Got my moto g6 amazon exclusive model a few days ago. I started to notice while the phone was just sitting on my desk and gone to sleep / doze? my notifications were not coming through (around 5-10 mins after screen off). Any notifications within that time would be fine. After that if I had any new notifications, I would get them all in one go after I turned the screen on or moved my phone with moto display. (I turned off the motion sensor feature)
Just trying to get an understanding of whats going on. I have played around with some settings and currently seem to have got it back to normal by setting all my important apps (gmail/whatsapp/twitter...) to not be battery optimised. I also found some notification setting elsewhere that gave the default launcher permissions. I used nova launcher so I gave that permission too just in case, but I think the main fix was battery optimisation.
Just find it odd that I have never had to go into battery optimisation before on my previous phones (nexus 4, wileyfox swift) and notifications have come through fine after long periods of time in sleep mode.
Anyone able to suggest something else that may be causing this, or I could try. I wouldnt have noticed this problem if it wasnt for being at my PC and seeing new emails/fb messages coming in and not getting notification on my phone after the phone had gone into sleep.
-------------
As of typing this I recieved an email that also did not notify on my phone. Only when I picked up the phone I got it instantly. Battery optimisation for apps may not have worked.
Hi,
Could you solve this issue? If so, how?
Thanks.
I had the same issue a few weeks ago after playing around and disabling apps/services I didn't think i needed . I had to re-enable the "Moto" app, go into "Moto Display" and enable "Peek Dsiplay". That fixed notifications coming through the locked screen for me.
