The S6 and the S6 Active on AT&T are the last high end devices on the US to recieve Marshmallow this is a new low for the carrier even T-Mobile got ir first ...
Can you guess a date? something is clear to me never buy from AT&T again XD
By this time in 2017 we will get it for sure. AT&T sucks.
Mark my words/text/post/prophesy! Any time between April and June 2016 we'll have Marshmallow! This is my prediction and it'll be a fact soon.
June 2016.
May or June 2016
Given that the press release for the Good Lock lock screen app from Samsung says that it supports the S6 Active with Marshmallow, I'm hoping the update is coming soon.

Read the first post in that thread. Have to sideload via adb. They are basically beta builds but they have been solid so far.

According to this article on Android Police, AT&T is scheduled to officially release 4.3 for the S4 Active on Christmas Eve (12/24). This is just a leaked schedule so take that with a grain of salt, it could be sooner but more than likely it will be later. If you would like to try out a leaked pre-release of 4.3 for the S4 Active you can download it from this thread. Just remember that if you flash the leaked version of 4.3 you probably won't be able to get updates when 4.3 is officially released as has happened in the past.

Lol 12/24 is 2 months out.... I been sitting on the AOSP thinking I only had to wait till the end of October to get on the official release..... Looks like I will be running the 4.3 leak now.... By the time 4.3 is official on the S4 Active it will be obsolete.... Sweet. Thanks
I'm normally not patient, but 4.3 Doesn't have anything that I have been chomping at the bit for, so I will call it a Christmas Present. Yay!

I'm not seeing anything on 4.3 that makes me want to upgrade either. I would be wary of the official update though because I'm almost positive there are going to be issues rooting it which would cause problems with SafeStrap. If SafeStrap ever gets kexec working I doubt I will ever accept an official update.
I'm not sure where exactly this guy got his information, but his post seems to suggest that taking the new 4.3 update will make rooting exponentially harder.

Yeah I have automatic updates disabled since I rooted the phone and will wait until some other rooted beta tester makes sure it works and doesn't break root.

Do you have a link to that? I can't seem to find that date anywhere. The closest thing I've been able to find is that the regular AT&T S4 is getting the 4.3 update on November 13th.

You need to search and read. It's one of the basic principles of XDA and you'll find people saying that over and over.
For example if you start reading this thread from the beginning you might find your answer.
Well not to be an ass, but this thread mentions three different dates. So the question may have been for clarification purposes.

T-Mobile Galaxy S5 just got the 5.1 update, build G900TUVU1FOF6.
The international set used to receive before US-sets but it seems T-Mobile is bucking the trend. Anyway, hope it is ported soon. Or we have our own official 5.1 firmware soon. :good:
Here's the link http://31.220.4.75/dl/TMB-G900TUVU1FOF6-20150622093044.zip
I wonder if we can run this on 900f with a custom kernel? What's the worst thing that would happen: soft brick? or need to flash ofw in odin?
Edit: Here's a mega mirror.
And here's a system dump with APK's and whatnot .
Can anyone post some screenshot of this release? Thanks in andvance!

No new theme engine. Typical Samsung-style move - artificially forcing previous models to look and feel old by not updating touchwiz on them.

Remember that Galaxy S2, born with Android 2.3.3, received the "Nature UX" namely TouchWiz 5.0 with same features of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on Galaxy S3. Maybe they think that the new Touchwiz is no such new than the "older" one on S5 KitKat nay on S5 Lollipop with white UI.

But that was a whole year after the S3 was released. And even then they disabled little things like waterrings unlock etc ONLY to make a point that the S2 is not the S3.

Yeah, best case scenario for when we get an official s6 rom is a whole year from now.
If they're gonna copy Apple and the iphone they might as well copy their update style and keep all devices with the same os and ui...
Although the thread has started with the Idea of Port, it has become Firmware Feature discussion. That should be happening in [SM-G900/F/K/L/W8/A/T/M] S5 Firmware Thread
Any firmware should be posted in that thread if its not there already. You can choose to Work with that OP if need be. This one needs to close as its duplication.

The OTA went out over a week ago.
People have been posting their experiences here and at other Android Forums. If I'm not mistaken the T-Mobile Note 4 also got the OTA about a week ago.
SamMobile are not always fast at getting the complete FW, as OTAs tend to go out 1st.

I've had the tar file for nearly a week. I've made a zip of both the 910p and 910t3 5.1.1 releases but neither of them will boot on the 910f. Log says it failed due to modem so I'm guessing we need the non-hlos.bin for it to boot. So it's a no go for now but I do know someone got my n910t3 zip to boot on the tmob

So it's not a long way for waiting , I hope
It's definitely been out for a while, though I held off a few extra days for a tweaked, flashable ROM to show up. Didn't want to give up my unlocked OB7 bootloader or root.
Thankfully, it didn't take long for that to happen!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-sprint/development/romstockishno-knox-8-7-15-sprint-t3174350
Much faster, recents menu lag is practically gone, Gear VR performance is noticeably smoother (GPU driver regression fixed?), and all in all, I'm pleased. This is how Lollipop should have launched to begin with.
Here's hoping the other variants get caught up soon, you all deserve it. If anything, I'm surprised Sprint is, well, sprinting out the gate with these updates, especially compared to carrier-unlocked models!

Unfortunately, not a single camera2 feature's supported there. Word is the S6 still doesn't fare any better in that department, so perhaps Samsung just doesn't care.
It's quite a shame, as it could make the Note 4 that extra bit better, but I guess we'll just have to yank the camera driver out of another IMX240-equipped phone that does. Can't think of much other recourse at this point if Samsung won't bother.
S6 supports RAW, S5 has been updated with it too.
Note 4 NOT.

Two days ago I read about S6 firmware and I was mistaken - it was said:
Last week T-Mobile beat all other US carriers to the update, and in a surprise move began pushing out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge with new features, bug fixes, and improved performance. That same update is now headed to one more carrier in the United States, as well as the older Galaxy S5.
The Galaxy S6 Android 5.1.1 update will feature changes to Samsung’s 16 megapixel camera, or the app. Included is RAW support and custom ISO values for the camera. It’s also expected to feature iOS-style exposures that will allow users to manage their exposure with simple on-screen controls. This is in addition to the return of Guest Mode allowing for multiple user accounts on one device, new motion effects, and more quick settings controls.

Ok ive done some more searching LOL, and I've found that it will be implemented on the upcoming update, but they just havent announced the official release date.
Hello, I'm new here and I REALLY need help ASAP!
I was wondering if anyone knew when the OFFICIAL release date for Android Lollipop to be released for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini SM-G800F in the UK? However if not I was also wondering if anyone would be a legend and make a more "stable" and less "laggy" port of Cyanogenmod 12.1 with compatibility with the Fingerprint Scanner and maybe S-Health (I'm not really worried about S-Health but I would be really greatful if someone could integrate the Fingerprint Scanner into CM12.1 as I would like to use CM12.1 as my version of Android instead of Touch wiz KitKat 4.4.2).
If you could tell me the release date for OFFICIAL Android Lollipop or could make a stable version of CM12.1 With integrated Fingerprint Scanner please PM me you would be a legend and TRULY APPRECIATED!
Thanks.

Seriously dude? Have you any idea how long it's been 'Pending' and been delayed? For about 9 months now. It's not coming. Same happened for S4 Mini.
Re:
Thanks guys, but yesterday I received a "minor" update that supposedly improves performance etc. From my understanding 9/10 "minor" updates lead to "major" updates. Hopefully within the next few months we'll receive the update. The only reason I presume the "minor" updates lead to "major" updates is because that is what I have experienced in the past. Cheers guys.

Minor updates usually means they fix the critical issues (Stagefright) and stop updating the phone. If they were to release the a major update, they would focus on developing that, instead of wasting manhours on small fix builds.
So guy's, I tweeted @Samsungmobile @samsungUK asking as quoted "Is the Galaxy S5 Mini SM-G800F update on the way?" And I have finally got a reply from @Samsungmobile quoting "As soon as it is out, we'll let you know Oli. ^AC". Sooooo. Lollipop is coming! Well for the G800F anyway! ??

Its coming to the G800F...trust me i have my own source but it will take time due to SoC of the G800F
