Anyone is having this problem? After playing temple run for the first time yesterday. I was feeling dizzy and uncomfortable, but that goes away in about 30 minutes.
Today, I tried watching a 3d movie for 40 minutes and I was fine.
Playing the game in cell for about 5 minutes I can no longer take it and stopped the whole thing.
I would like to know how many of you feel the side effects of using the vr and does it go away over time of usage?
Thanks!

Another question is will this effect go away over time?
Sent from my Silver Titanium Galaxy S7 Edge
This effect mostly happen when you move or turn in VR, your head expect a bunch of feelings, wich don't happen in the reality.
I got the same dizziness, only on games where i am virtualy moving, but it is getting better.
On games like Herobounds Gladiators or ShootingShowdown I got no issues.
Sry for my bad english, i hope you could understand.

Use a swivel chair
If you sit in a swivel chair (office chair) turning 360 or behind you is a much smoother process and seems to make you less nauseous. This made it so I could last longer before taking breaks. I still have to take breaks more than I would for other video games.

Games like in cell and temple run really caused me to feel like vomiting after maybe 5 minutes of game play.
Smash it didn't give me that issue and really enjoying it very much. I would literally move my body when the blocks come close to me.
Your English is great. Thanks

It's vr sickness.
It will go away as soon as your body gets used to it much like sea sickness. How long it will take depends on how long you expose yourself to it.
It's not too well understood yet but I happens to quite a few people from what I've read anyway.

After the first 100 it speeds up. Sitting this out on my slow dsl..
I downloaded the game, started to download 530 mb and finished, when it was about to start it hanged.
WTF?
i started playing. u can play 1 hr free, then it asks for a full version. costing 12€
This game seems to be all I hoped it would be, except that the framerate is kinda low on high settings it seems. This is one of the best games on any mobile device right now in my opinion!

Not free at all. Requires a 14.99 purchase after 20 minutes.

I've been waiting for this for a while. Unfortunately, I beat it in about five hours. However, that's if you only follow the main story line. It has tons of replay value. It's totally worth the 15 dollars.

After it managed to install and download 530mb successfully, this game was really well made. and the 15 dollars are worth the payment.
Has anyone tried playing this with a PS3 controller attached?
I'd much like to know if it works.

This sounded interesting so I tried it. but the game doesn't respond to any button presses from the ps3 controller.

That's sad... We should all make a request at the developer.
Can you play with the keyboard dock instead of the touch screen?
Finished the story line in less than 2 days
after story finished in every mission messages are repeated every 5 seconds and upon completing a mission one ends up in kind of a "message loop" (messages pop up over and over again and no way out)...
this looks great. Can the demo be replayed or is it a one time play through?

The demo can be replayed.
So you are saying there is essentially zero replay value??
I thoroughly enjoyed the game. While it was quite short (~6 hours for me), there are loads of side missions, which I am now accessing thanks to the automatic resume point prior to finishing the game.
The graphics are pretty nice, but it unfortunately plays too slowly on Medium or High settings in certain areas. Other areas, even High is fine... I prefer consistently high frame rate, though, so I just do Low everywhere. When Tegra 3 comes out, putting this game at High will be a dream. The fog makes High look absolutely gorgeous.
All in all, I like it. While $15 is a healthy chunk of change for a cell phone / tablet game, this truly reeks of console quality because of its depth.
I love this game, completely worth the $15
playing the game on high with a OC at 1.4ghz and running very smooth
Must say the game play and animation is somewhat arcade like and has a 2nd generation feel, so nothing to rave about imo, price tag pretty steep as well. Graphics looks pretty good but no way near pc quality, all in all not bad for a tablet game.

Um, you believe or it's happened to you? I haven't experienced it personally, and I've been Dead Triggering, Shadowgunning and FFVI'ing all day long.
Its happening to me, and it seems like its doing it after playing games or watching a movie.....etc....right side of screen becomes unresponsive so typing is almost impossible for a period of time

I played nova3 and dead trigger. Dont have that issue you mentioned. Screen still responsive. Maybe your screen has some moisture on it from the gaming. I noticed that with my phone. If screen gets moisture on it, screen acts up or is unresponsive.

If you don't mind me asking. How did dead trigger and nova 3 run, did you get the frame rate dropping alot or experience any lag or stuttering in the games? Thanks

I got this very thing a minute ago, had to reboot it.
Not had the issue with Dead Trigger or Puddle THD but soon as I quit Dark Knight Rises. Super lag fest. Unresponsive as Hell.

I know you weren't talking to me, but since I played Dead Trigger for awhile I will say it ran perfectly. I mean, I was astounded. The only reason I bought it was because they made it free..and I love it. I haven't had a framerate issue with any game yet.

Same as this poster here. Both games play very well. Very impressed with how well my nexus 7 pushes these games. i haven't noticed any lag anywhere. Whether its gaming, web browsing, or swiping through homescreen ui's.
Try a reboot to see if it clears things up. You could possibly have something running in the background causing the lag/slowdown in certain areas.
So I'm very interested in the xperia so but some of the professional reviews out there have some criticisms that worry me.
The camera I know about and it seems like it's correct from other posts on this sub forum. However I think I can deal with it since I have an actual SLR and my phone is never going to replace that now is it.
However some reviews say that the battery life of this phone is below par. This confuses me because the mAh of this phone is pretty darn high. In particular they say that you'll only be able to play gta3 for example for about three hours. I have no idea if this is a long time or not but the reviewer certainly didn't think so.
Another point that they make is that the phone sometimes stutters and behaves slowly despite high benchmark scores. They suggest that this is because the xperia sp has only 1gb of RAM or that Sony hasn't properly optimised the software.
So do any of these claims hold water? In particular I want to know how the battery life compares to the galaxy s3?
The stuttering may indeed be a software issue so another important consideration for me is whether this phone will have good unofficial support? I guess that's a hard question to answer at the moment though!
Thanks in advance all!
I can't compare against the s3, but compared to my last android the battery life is superb. I haven't had any stuttering at all either. I'm very happy with my sp but it is a big jump up from my ageing LG p500.

I haven't had any stuttering, too.
About the battery life:
When I set the brightness to 50% and activate the auto brightness (in settings) it was about 41 hours. Today I tried the app "yet another auto brightness" (because the auto brightness in settings only adjust +/- 10%). after 14 hours and about 3 hours with active display the battery is at 12 %...

I don't think any phone can play GTA 3 for more than 3 hours, since all phones will overheat and start to lag. Battery life is not an issue.
Those guys don't know what they are talking about. 1 GB of ram is enough. In android, unused ram is wasted ram, and the launcher only requires 40-50 mb of ram.
I am going to bet that you read a review by PhoneArena. Those guys hate Sony phones, but for some reason like the tablets
As for Techradar, they have a campaign on Samsung products, due to them being their sponsor.
From trustedreviews.com
However, it's not all plain sailing as there are times when the SP stutters just a bit more than we're comfortable with. Sometimes it would randomly refuse to pop up the keyboard in the Chrome browser or when we tried to use the search box in the App Drawer. There were also little slow downs and pauses that we haven’t seen on other handsets running Jelly Bean, such as when you exit some apps back to the homescreen and it takes a couple of seconds to redraw the icons on the screen. These issues could, of course, be due to the 1GB of Ram that Sony has twinned with the processor, but we think it's more likely that Sony needs to better optimise its launcher and firmware to iron out some bugs
Not true? Exaggerated?
The only thing that I can confirm is, that it takes sometimes 1-2 seconds to redraw the icons on the homescreen after closing some games... I could not find the other reported bugs.

I am a regular player of GTA Vice CIty on my my X SP but when the phone is on Charging and some time after long play game automatically shuts down (around 45 min) and phone heats up.
Few times when i played on Battery it drained around 15-16% of battery in half hour of play.
Considering 2370mAh battery, its backup is not that good (Mediaserver Poblem) backup of s3 is marginally better
and camera is 100 time better in Xperia P (have compared it personally).
I also have problem with KeyBoard not coming up many time in Chrome and other place.
THis is my personal review
Ive had no problems at all with any of the problems mentioned on here its a great device its super fast and stable and ive disabled apps i dont need like facebook maps etc etc so u can debloat on stock so far but obviously u can debloat more with root

Posting from the xperia sp now!!
I haven't noticed any problems with stuttering yet but I notice there is already an update to the firmware. Maybe that fixed some of the issues. I'm on ten percent battery and it's only midday!!! But didn't charge before I turned out on from the box haha.
About 3 or 4 hours with screen on from 54% not terrible!
Maybe the keyboard issue is to do with the Sony keyboard? I'm using Google keyboard and it's all fine so far.
It's quantum leap. I must admit my P500 still charming, and works fine for last three years. Hope my Xperia SP can last even longer

Hi,
Iam going to buy Xperia Z. Are the games like GTA VC (on maxed out), Max Payne, etc. run smoothly on this phone? Thanks for answers.
They run okay. Reading a bit on those ports gives me the impression that they all run wacky on high end devices.

I haven't played any of the games on the XZ but when NFS Most Wanted still worked on the XZ I could play it without any problems... beside 1.
When the phone becomes to hot while gaming, the game will become a bit slower, I can't really call it lagg, because everything will keep working, but just be a bit slower. That will happen for like hmmm 30 seconds max? After that the game will become fluid again.

Thermal throttling. The phone gets hot and the chip underclocks itself for the time being hot.

It lasts for like 30 secs sometimes it lasts throughout the game.

I can confirm that with the latest update the phone runs cooler and smoother. I'm playing NFS Most Wanted since a few weeks and before it was like 70% of the time lagfree, now it is more like 95%. Even after 30 minutes of playing or more. Before, it would start to lag within a minute or so!
Definietly worth to upgrade to .244 firmware!
So I just got mine yesterday here in NZ (queue waiting game for firmware update), very pleased with how this thing is running more demanding emulation. Been a while since I tried Dolphin for Android, so no doubt software improvements on the emulator side are helping, but nevertheless performance really surprised me. Fire Emblem for GC @2xIR and even Fire Emblem for Wii are running flawlessly. Mario Kart Double Dash and Metroid Prime also @2xIR running extremely well - full speed or close to it pretty much the whole time. Having a blast with a SNES30Pro controller here.
PSP emulation seems decent too, best I've seen God Of War run on Android, even if still a ways to go.
Played for about an hour yesterday and another hour today, over both sessions ~10% battery use per hour, which seems very reasonable.

Could you test Espgaluda 2 in Retroarch with Mame 2014 core? I wonder if it's finally a constant full speed 60 fps at all times. Run the demonstration for a couple of minutes with the frame rate display on, and see if it stutters at any time. S9 plus has trouble running it
