I ordered the Proporta about 6 or 7 weeks ago. I received nothing since then (apart from the useless neoprene wallet). Looks like it's going to be a long time before it is finnished. I think the Inno looks far better too. I'm thinking about ordering one instead of the Proporta.

Does the case have enough room for the extended battery?? 8) thinking of getting one if the proporta case doesn't have room, by the end of the design reveiws... and it looks like you have to keep removing from the case just to charge or use it.
It looks that neither have room for the XDA+battery.
Both the Inno and the Proporta have their pro's and con's. I think the Proporta is better for daily use, you don't need to remove the XDA from the case before usage. The Inno on the other hand gives far better protection since it completely encloses the XDA.

judging from the design I can't see how the xda can be used/charged from the case, asking cause that's the way I use mine, and everybody uses their case differently...the Inno case looks to provide better protection, (I have four cases I use depending on my daily use, guys tend to stick to one case, women tend to co-ordinate the cases with their outfits and bags!!) and your right in the respect that the Inno looks good, but as always, looks don't mean a thing if it aint practical (men inclusive in my opinion :twisted: ) and as you already have the case I'd rather pick your brains on it than have a sales person deliberatley trying to sell me something based on looks....
The Proporta has an opening at the bottom so I guess you can sync/charge and replace the smartcard without having to take it out of the case. Here's a better view...

Yep, I did ask and was told not for ages as they just rejected the proto-type last week, apparently because you would have to remove the xda from the case for charging etc and that's not what was agreed to design wise....the guy I spoke to was so annoyed he told me not to bother ordering it yet!!! to wait a month but I will... just to have yet another case to co-ordinate.

I've got one (the innopocket case) and I'm very Impressed with it. Although like anything its not perfect.
Here goes an honest review.
If you think the xda is already too big, dont buy this. If you want to protect your machine while carrying it - its like having an armoured tank protecting it! Imagine your dads old tobacco tin in brushed aluminium with a neoprene 1.5mm lining and there it is.
Its very well built - it does have a serious "no messing about belt clip" that you'd have to have serious impacts hit by a car for it to fall off. I'm a cyclist (during the week ; ) - so you'll have to excuse my practical thinking!
I think the only serious damage you could do would be to the antenna, which is the only potruding part, and even then, if it was on your belt that would never happen.
I did however make one major "mod" when I got it, I got out an electric drill and file and made a headphone socket hole straight away!
Being made of aluminium its very easy to do this, in theory you could do the same for the charger connector.
Street Cred
Although its very practical, to be frank I'm embarrased to carry it in "open view" on my belt, because it is ridiculously large. Under your jumper or jacket it acceptable. Or in your baggy Jeans pocket is another fine alternative.
In use
I even answered a few calls while listening to Mp3s in slough town centre last week, obviously the nice thing is that with the standard handsfree headset you can answer the call with the button on the mic pod, and not have to get the damn thing out of the case. Obviously in normal phone use its a pain to "unholster"
I think the main oversight is a lack of a charging hole, I think a pda on a desk with a charger lead hanging out of it is asking for trouble, one slip and your "preciousss" will go swinging to a clattering smash onto the floor, so I'd love to encase it with the innopocket during charging. (I'm getting the drill & file out now!)
Opening it Up
It did seem too much hassle to change tracks on media player by "getting it out of my pocket, opening it up, changing tracks, and closing it etc. So I just listened to my mp3s on "shuffle mode" it would be great if one was designed with buttons integrated into it, perhaps so it slots into the bottom edge connector in the same way as the clip on keyboard.
At times like that I was glad of the volume control on the headphone kit!
The opening up catch is nice and firm, so its very difficult for it to open accidentally, and as it opens "upwards" in theory as long as you are standing or sitting, it wouldnt fall out.
One of my friends did force it open because he didnt understand the way it opens, but in actual fact its made the case easier to use, because the stress exerted on the aluminium hinges if you do this enable you to open it further, to about a 80 degree angle from the closed position. This means that if opened on your belt the xda delivers at 45degrees or so.
Build Quality
I think in terms of build quality it is excellent, and certainly does protect the machine All edges were finished off smoothly, all neoprene stuck down well, definately a quality product.
Capacity
Havent tried it with the extended battery, as it hasnt arrived yet, I'll let you know if it fits, or if it can be modified.
Advantages
1) serious protection
2) serious beltclip that wont fall off in usage
3) Aluminium, lightweight, tough, and easy to mod!
4) Website order to Delivery time (under a week) and thats delivering it by airmail from suppliers in Hong Kong.
Disadvantages
1) Overall Size (too big and roomy - I'd prefer a snugger fit!)
2) Beltclip: My only criticism is that the belt clip cannot be removed, its riveted on, and being aluminium, if you removed it I guess you'd never get it back on. Otherwise its the best engineered beltclip I've ever used, I wish my old Cooltrax mp3 player's case had such a good one.
3) the only downside of course is removing it from the holder. to use it, its not exactly "quick release"
4) usual packaging problem though, when it arrived it looked like it had been opened a dozen times en route, cardboard box was creased and torn "open", but the product was intact and undamaged - I guess customs at several points opened it up to see what it was. You'd hope they'd stick tape back over it. I'd hate to send anything of a greater value that distance!
Opinions
Buy two. One for "on your belt" (modding it for headphone hole)
The other for in a bag or pocket, with the belt clip removed! and mod it for charging/mp3 playback.
The one thing I like about it is that it doesent spoil the look of the thing itself when you're actually using it. The standard O2 case sucks in that regard, and looks disgusting in my opinion. And lets face it the most dangerous aspect of using a phone/pda is putting it down. e.g. falling asleep with it on your lap or chest, or even charging it up.
When its in your hand you hang on to it for grim death. Putting it into the case is the riskiest part, especially cycling along, but hey, even doing that on a pavement is a big risk! And as I mentioned this was a doddle!
Walking along and holstering it is more of an embarrassment risk than a risk of dropping it because as I mentioned, it opens very sensibly.
Possible Improvements...
1) add a hole for charger
2) add a headphone hole
3) make the belt clip removable
4) make it less "thick" (width wise)
5) slots for memory cards inside the case, although there's plenty of room to just have them "floating around" - that said, would you risk an £80 memory card dropping out while you're walking.
6) add a button for skip track for when in mp3 usage

I fully agree with Derek's review but like to add a couple of disadvantages:
1) The spring mechanism started to wear out in the case I had. I had to bend them back into shape.
2) Although perfectly padded on the inside there is the possibility of having the metal on the inside come into contact with your screen. Maybe it is just me being clumsy but I was nervous every time the XDA went into or out of the case.
I stopped using it and it is lying around somewhere here.

Hi I got the ali case, the thing is almost twice the width, but I really needed to stop the XDA from crashing out of my pocket, so I tried it for a few days, its like an ejector seat, My xda has hit the ground 6 times in one day, I lost my pen & a big card I had in it. Sorry it has gone in the draw.
Hi, i got my proporta ali case this morning - seems quite nice Very light and doesn't bulk up the device too much! Very strong too, no way i'll loose the screen with this baby on. All connectors/buttons can be got to with the case closed.
Will test it over the next few days!
When I had the Eris I used some plexiglass and a heat gun to make a cradle but with the button placement and shape of the DInc, it was a bit harder to make so I designed a simple holder in SolidWorks to hold the phone vertically. It holds it by the bottom 1" of the phone and has a cut out for the charger. I attached it to my car using 3M exterior mounting tape(great stuff) and it has been working very well for me.

I made another one today that is designed to hold the phone horizontally. It has cut-outs for the USB, volume and power buttons. I just designed it today and have not test fit it but it should work without a problem.

I have designed two more holders which I have just ordered today and when I get them I will let everyone know how they fit.
The design of these is such that they are to be made from Alumide (http://www.shapeways.com/materials/alumide) and can hold the phone wither you have the standard battery or the official HTC extended battery. These holders only hold the phone by the lower 3/4" vs the previous 1" in order to save in material and therefore cost.
An additional feature that I added to the horizontal holder is a sleeve that should hold, with some glue, the official HTC video output cable.

They came today
I received the two holders in the mail today and they are pretty much perfect. The material is much stiffer than the regular plastic and it has a sparkle to it. I did a test fit with both the standard and oem extended batteries and they both have a nice snug fit. However, if you use a case, then you are SOL. On the horizontal holder, the video cable also slides right in and is snug to where I don't think any adhesives will be needed.

Initial hands on:
The case itself is split into 3 parts. The main piece is the battery. The battery itself could be used as a standalone battery backup, similar to those found on many websites. It is then connected to the phone via a micro USB U shaped connector. Both the battery and the phone are then placed in the outer casing which has the cutouts for the LED indicators that are built into the battery itself. You are able to press the power button to see (with 4 LED lights) what the current charge on the external battery pack is at. Holding down this power button turns on and off the charger itself. The cutouts for the IR blaster and noise canceling mic are pretty spot on for position. They both seemed pretty centered. The power button and volume keys have a nice tactile press to them, making them easy to use. I like the fact that the bottom of the case has the speaker grills coming out the front of the device. I found it very hard to try and muffle the sound this way. No longer will my hand placement mute my media. The case also comes with a headphone jack adapter, due to the fact that the port is pretty far buried in the case. So far my only gripe is that on the edges of the case, it doesn't seem as snug as the top and bottom is. There is distinctive bowing of the center. That could, however, be due to the fact that I have a skin on the back of the device, making it just slightly thicker than the original version would be. I won't be able to verify this, as I am not going to try to remove the skin. The case has a good heft to it. It's not too heavy, but it does give a more distinguishable weight to the phone. The way the case curves around the backside really just makes the whole thing fit comfortably in my hand. Also, even with the added bulk, the case still fits comfortably in my pocket. I have tested, and NFC no longer works, which is to be expected at this thickness. My biggest downside with the case is that I cannot connect it to my computer to transfer files without first taking it back out of the case.
After using the case for 24 hours I've come across things I both like and dislike. My phone is currently at a full charge after being off the charger since 9am. My zerolemon case is at half capacity, meaning I should be able to get another full day's use before the case is completely empty and I'm relying on the phone's battery alone. I would say that I have used the device a moderate amount, which is leading me to believe I could get an impressive full 3 day's use before charging again. I have found that while the speaker is protected from being covered by having the media come out of the front, it is now slightly tinny in sound. It isn't horrible, but it's definitely noticeable. I have also found that there are slight defects sound where the case meets the camera, looking like slight nics out of the material.
So I've had the case for 7 days now. I find it especially useful on slow days at work when I'm constantly on my phone. I still haven't dropped the phone, so I don't know how well the case actually stands up to damage. I did have one night where I didn't keep the phone on the charger all night, so the case itself wasn't actually charged. It would be nice if the input charger was higher than the output charge, so the case would charge at the same time as the phone instead of after. This case definitely came in handy when my family went to my grandmother's 90th birthday party an hour away. I was able to watch shows on the way there, as well as take lots of pictures and videos during the party, and still have plenty of battery life for the ride home. Between the bulk and the lack of NFC and wireless charging though, I don't see myself using the case every day. I see myself using this case only during trips and long slow days at work.
It's not the skin. The case doesn't fit snugly around the sides. And at least in my case, it eventually started messing with the screen protector, which is a bit annoying. Between changing ROMs and Kernels I'm able to get a whole day's worth of battery and if I have heavier usage than usual I just find it better to be able to use QiCharging. I used to love my ZeroLemon battery for the Note 3, if they make one similar for the S6 Edge I'll gladly buy it, but as it stands, I don't find it worth losing features over.
I just bought this along with another brand battery case from Amazon today, and they should be here tonight. I'll be curious to see how mine is. I've always been a Mophie guy with my iPhones.
I've received my two cases. This ZeroLemon one, and a Wekin one with a stand. They both fit very well, though I feel the ZeroLemon design to be over complicated, and I have a general distaste for TPU cases. The Wekin one is considerably slimmer. I'll add some more info once I've tested the actual batteries.
One issue I have, that may actually spur me to return this case, is the fact that it doesn't stay charging once the battery in the phone is full. I prefer to follow Mophie's way and use the battery in the pack first when I do use a battery case, which is not every day.

Build/Quality
At first glance, this case is very generic looking and has no character to it at all. That being said, you slowly start unraveling the fact that there was intricate time put into the attempt of this concept. The case is made of a TPU like material that is rigid, yet flexible. It fits snugly around the phone and hugs the curves to a fault. I'll explain why I say that later. The overall feel in hand is very solid. For someone with big hands and for the type of phone this is, edge variant, there is something to be said about how ergonomic this case makes the S6 edge. Now when I say it hugs to a fault, as you can see in the picture it is a tight fit and lifted my screen protector. I consider myself somewhat of a self proclaimed expert in this realm and could not get it on without disturbing the Liquid IQ Shield screen protector. This is why I dinged it a bit. It isn't as screen protector friendly as I'd hoped. That is probably the biggest downfall. The biggest positive is that the LED indicator lights for the battery pack are extremely useful. I love them and think they make this case/battery pack awesome.
Final Score - 8/10
Practicality
How practical is it to add this kind of bulk to the case and does it make a difference? I found that the case was a great concept, yet it's more brilliant upon closer inspection. What I mean by that is that you may or may not think its worth it, but I'll tell you why I believe it is.
Use cases: Long road trips, traveling (flights), long days at work, forget your charger, appointments (doctors/dentist visits usually consume more battery, crushing those CANDIES!), and other scenarios.
This case offers the protection of a case like an Otterbox or a Life Proof case, but adds the functionality of a Morphie case. However, that's not all it can do. upon closer inspection, you can see that this is a 2 in 1 bundle. Sure you can utilize this as part of the case and carry it on the phone. But this is also a battery pack. Because of this you could essentially charge this battery pack and carry it with you. It's so small it becomes a secondary function of the case. So you are really purchasing 2 items for the price of one. That makes this highly practical because for people that do not want the extra bulk, they have purchased a 2 for 1 and can use it without the case on a day to day basis and drop it in the case when they are on the go.
Final Score - 10/10
Price
That leads me into the price discussion. Is the price worth it? YES! Simply put, yes. An Otterbox case is about $30 - $60, a battery pack is around $20, an extra charger is about $15. If you think about these general figures. The cost of this case for a hybrid battery pack and case is a steal. You are getting a good value for the money (Currently $29.99). I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this at the price point they set.

Battery Life
Now comes, arguably, the most important part of the review. Does it give you enough juice? I say yes and no. I say yes because any juice is adequate extra juice. I say no because as a power user I always want more. But I think I landed on the fact that this is a stellar case to have for the power it does grant. I was able to extend the phone by half to 1 full day on heavy use. This means that I would be able to give myself an extra charge to give me more power use and finish off the day. On light usage days I could feel comfortable not charging the phone and still getting to the end of the next day. Power use to me entails: emails, app use, web surfing, etc.
I would say that this about doubled my screen on time of 3 - 4 hours to about 6 - 8 hours and increased my general use time from 10 - 14 hours to 20 - 28 hours (excluding stand by time that happens while sleeping, not using at all).
Final Score - 8/10
Conclusion:
I would not hessitate to pick this case up. If you are going on camping trips, if you are going to be away from an outlet, if you are just going to be at the office for a long day or even if you are going to be on business trips or road trips, this case provides ample use cases. That combined with the fact that it can double as a battery pack, makes the cost entirely worth it. I think Zero Lemon could make small improvements to this case by including the option to obtain 2 battery packs instead of one. They could also stand to improve the textures and feel of the case that they include with the battery. Even color variety and customization could liven up the product line. But the fact still remains that it is a solid product and I think it's worth buying.

Yeah, that's definitely a problem. Another thing that has to be considered is that the bottom of the case sits fairly close to the home button so it would make sense to add a fingerprint profile with the case on to ensure it works with both case off and on.
Zerolemon Case Review
Dislcosure: I received my Zerolemon Case for free in return for posting this review.
So I have had this case for about a month now and a few things really stuck out to me and were the determining factors on whether or not I will be using this as my everyday case.
Packaging/Design - Overall I think the packaging and design are great. The product was well packaged/protected and the case itself is a very nice fit with maybe two minimal flaws. For the way the battery has to be connected and positioned I think the case does a great job of being snug enough to keep the battery in place and protect the phone. I didn't notice any "shifting" of the phone while it was in the case as was a problem with previous/similar Zerolemon cases on my previous phones. That being the case, I did notice after the first time I installed the case that it was so snug it pulled up the screen protector (skin) at the bottom corners of the phone. Luckily with the skin I installed I was able to just press it back down and no harm was done. On future installs I was able to develop a method to putting the case on where it didn't pull up the bottom portion of the screen protector anymore basically eliminating this issue. The other issue though with the case, that has been mentioned in other reviews is that the sides of the case aren't quite as snug as the rest of it and actually bow down and slightly away from the side thus not being quite as snug on the sides as well as causing a bit of a weird "gap push" when trying to press the power or volume buttons. For me it required a little bit more pressure to actually press the buttons which I guess to some can be a positive as it helps avoid accidentally pressing them while in hand or in your pocket.
Functionality - So when I first got the case I was actually headed down to the 24 Hour Disney Day at Walt Disney World. It was perfect timing because this would be a great way to test the performance of the battery and its practicality. By the time we got to the event at 9pm on Friday my phone was at 100% and the case was had 3 of 4 lights lit indicating it was somewhere around 75% capacity (Note: it had not had a full charge/cycle yet, it was right out of the box). By the time we left the park at 7am Saturday morning my phone was at 23% and the case had 1 of 4 lights lit. I was definitely using my phone heavily throughout the event taking tons of photos and video and checking social media mentions of the event. There was however one issue that I haven't been able to replicate but only experienced while the phone was in the case. There was a good bit of time where I couldn't access the phone's video camera because I was getting an "overheating" warning which would grey out the video camera until the phone cooled down to whatever the acceptable temperature is. That was a bit annoying because of course it happened right when I was wanting to take some video of the event. Other times I have used the case I haven't had this issue and overall it has performed as advertised. However, it has it's drawbacks even when performing as advertised. First of which is the loss of NFC. I have actually been able to use Google Wallet fairly regularly around town as many of the merchants that I shop at accept it and it is quite convenient. To all of the sudden not be able to use it seems like a step backwards. The other drawback is the charging rates, both input and output. I mean, HOLY COW, did it seem to take forever just to charge a 3500mAh battery and the phone versus just charging the phone and my external "myCharge" 6000mAh battery. Not to mention it's charging rate back to the phone was around 1-1.5A whereas the myCharge is around 1.8-2.4A. I tend to lean more towards the myCharge because it charges my phone faster and I don't have to be tethered to it or carry the extra bulk with my phone when I don' t necessarily need it.
Conclusion - Overall the case/battery performed as advertised and for the price ($29.99) it is actually a really good deal considering you get a battery and a case. Unfortunately, with the advancements of fast charging and fancier/larger external batteries that can allow you to charge multiple devices at once I see this kind of battery eventually falling by the wayside especially given the loss of certain functions as I and others have mentioned. Would I recommend this case to someone, honestly.....probably not. I would probably recommend an external battery charger with a higher capacity and multiple ports for charging multiple devices that would probably cost $20-$30 more but with a lot more to offer. Suffice it to say, I will most likely not be using the case again.
I received my case yesterday and I have to say I kinda like it like this , yes yes I know takes away the premium build etc but a premium build is useless if the phone is out of charge . It's not as bulky as I thought it would be .
The weight makes the phone feel like its secure in your hand versus the really light slippery feel an S6 has .
Doesn't take long to charge and I can also use this pack to charge other devices . I havent tried wireless charging yet .
All in all for the price , its a boss deal

GALAXY S6
First off, let me say this is a great setup for a power user and is the third ZeroLemon 10000mah battery case I have used on a mobile device. I use my phone for everyday business and multimedia use around 12-13 hours a day. I am constantly in the car or traveling for clients and have very little time to actively charge my phone on the move. This battery case combo was a no brainer for me.
So far I have been through 5 complete charge/drain cycles. Charging this battery case usually takes 8-10+ hours and holds a charge pretty well from what I have tested throughout the week.
The overall size and feel is great, although it does take a beautiful thin phone and make it into a hefty brick. I would say it is relatively the same size as 3 Note 8 phones stacked on top of each other. For me, this feels great and gives me a bit more piece of mind when handling the phone all day. However, your basic consumer may not like trade-off. That though, is a positive trade-off for me to have stellar battery and usability to get me through the day, worry free.
The case fits the phone very well and I do not worry about it coming loose, shifting etc...If I were to drop it I don't know how well it would absorb the impact, or whether the phone would stay in the case itsself. I'm not going to test that though. The s-pen can be a bit difficult to get out/in. This isn't an issue for me as I rarely use this feature. All the buttons line up with the respective case buttons and pluggin in the charger has ample clearances etc. The camera and fingerprint sensor are easily reachable as well.
Overall, this was a great purchase and one I will make again for future devices. It does exactly what I need it to do every day, and it does it very well.

Way too much bulk to add considering how long the battery last and how fast the Note 8 charges. I have an external battery, but have only used it once
I bought the 10000 mah lemon battery as well via pre-order being I was coming off a rooted Note 3. Once I seen they was making a 10000 mah lemon I went and bought the Note 8 immediately. Not only have I've gotten 3-4 days with moderate use but it can also be used as an EXTERNAL battery for anyone worried about the added bulk or having to take a more protective designed case off to use the lemon case and battery.
I haven't even seen this option advertised in the Amazon reviews, Zero Lemon website or anywhere so decided to share. Basically just buy any USB C to USB C cable like this but shorter if you want "AmazonBasics USB Type-C to USB Type-C 2.0 Cable - 6 Feet (1.8 M... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GGKZ1VA/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdo_t1_icXvAb4CR5EGC and plug it in the actual white and black battery that fits in the lemon case. There's a input and output insert. Use the Input slot and plug the other end into the Note 8.
This works just like an external battery where you get the option to have it in the case or out the case. Also to add. When flat on a table, the lip for the case slightly raises the phone off flat surface which helps with the glass not touching. Although it's not designed to protect the phone I dropped mines twice off a dresser and not a scratch. Landed on its back possibly because of the weight. Hope this helps anyone in deciding.

Many old school XDA members already know this case well, but for new people to the Note series (i.e. Apple converts, etc..) , I thought to write a li'l bit about the Zerolemon 10K case.
I have used Zerolemon's battery cases for years. I am a Galaxy Note series user.
The Note is a powerful device and oftentimes I am out in the wild with no access to shore power.
That's where this case comes in.
I only get the 10K cases and, despite the bulk, I can continue to use my Note 20 in max performance mode out on locations with no worries about losing power. I was able to squeeze about 2 full charges and had some residual charge left to get me back to about 43%. This is with discharging the battery down to less than 10% (usually I would charge at 9%).
The older cases did not allow DEX mode, but with the Note 20 Ultra 5G, you can use DEX wirelessly.
I was able to use wired headphones (AKG N90Q) and still able to wireless charge.
Build quality on the case is what you expect from Zerolemon: Top rate. The rubber is grippy and protects the rear cameras. The case also provides some safety for the front screen.
I received the case with one led lit. All leds were lit in about ~2.5-3 hours. the power button on the Note 10+ last year was really sensitive in that you could turn it on inadvertently. With this years model for the 20 Ultra, the buttons has been more like it was on the Note 9.. it was not as easy to press.
Mounting the phone in the case is straightforward, and I have it down to a science.
Bonus - the Note 10+ belt clip case works with this years case! I have attached a photo showing the belt case from the Note 10+ with the 20 Ultra in it. The only way to get this to work is to have the phones screen faced into the case, so if you still have the belt clip, you can use it that way or have it as a stop gap until Zerolemon comes out with the proper one.
Caveats is the case does not allow super fast charging. This is known from the description so it is not a shock. The other caveat is bulk - if this is an issue for some, the 5K case is a good alternative.
Didn't test out Samsung Pay. This is not something I use anyway even without the case as I prefer to use my Samsung Watch3 LTE to make MST purchases. I will say, on my last Note 10+ 10K battery case, I DID use Samsung Pay and it DID work, so I is possible it will work on the 20 Ultra.
In closing, I've used these cases for years on a few Note series devices. This is my first must have accessory when I get the Note.
Now, only if they can make one for the Z Fold2 5G....
A number of things I don't like about this type of case.
Lithium fires are no trivial thing, and now you have doubled the amount. If one battery has cataclysmic failure it will take the other one out as well.
It makes it harder for the phone to dissipate heat.
It adds a lot of weight and especially with a face plant landing increases the odds of severe damage.
Signal issues.
Adds a lot of bulk to already large phone.
For these reasons I think it's better to take advantage of the large native battery and make use of its fast charging capability than to hang another battery on it.

It looks very industrial. Kinda purpose built. I mean why not get a fast charge battery pack? This looks ghastly. Just going against everything note 20 ultra tried to achieve with its design language. I agree Samsung could have gone for 5000mah battery but I don't think this case is the solution to that problem.
the battery case is NOT for everyone. Ive been using these cases for years and never had any issues with them.
im not concerned about lithium fires. this product has been reliable in my several years use of them on different note phones over that time.

Back in 2010, I used to rock an iPhone 3g. I had used incase power slider and a mophie juice pack with it. At that time, the iphone screen was 3.5" and with the battery case it was not uncomfortable to hold the phone and those cases followed the same design philosophy of the phone itself. Well I wouldn't dare to say they looked as good but they didn't take away much. BUT now our phones have become massive it's really cumbersome to use a battery case let alone a 10,000mah. I still wouldn't have minded the 5000mah but man I am a sucker for design. There is absolutely no sense of design here with zerolomon cases. It takes away from the aesthetics of the phone.

the case is for functional reasons. i dont expect anyone to use this case on a daily basis, but for those who will be away from shore power for whatever reason, this case delivers.
the case is not going to allow fast charging for heat related reasons. this is totally understandable given the massive amount of battery in the case and phone. cant have it all.
That's a great case for traveling. Not that I remember what that was like. Using maps, taking pictures, all those are things that use up my battery life in a half a day. This would have been great traveling through in Asia. I used the Samsung brick though which was ok, but quirky.
I got a battery charging case for my Note 9, I think it was one of those deals where you buy it, review it, and they pay you back. I used it maybe twice. Since the case is so huge I always regretted putting it on to recharge my phone and leaving my regular case at home or in the car.
That's a big boy right there.

I've been using Zerolemon battery cases for many years, starting with Samsungs original Note, always hacking them to increase functionality.
Currently on Note 20 Ultra I made two physical hacks to the Zerolemon case.
In the photos enclosed you can see what I'm describing. It's not pretty, but works and adds to the cases utility as far as I'm concerned.
First — the USB—C charging port is only passthrough for USB—C cables, doesn't work for Dex with HDMI, so I needed physical access to the phone's USB port, so it wouldn't have to be removed from the case. So I cut the case around the charging port — as it's logically connected by film cable. This way I can plug it in and have the battery charge the phone. But it can also quickly be unplugged and an HDMI hub plugged in.
Second, there is significant empty space next to the phone's camera on the back, which just sits in the battery casing empty. It's actually nice the battery case stays thick there too. I cut the plastic case there and made an incision in the foam plastic battery case on the outside.
This way I have the full area next to the camera as a container — I put USB flashdrives there, whatever I want to have with me all the time and don't have to carry it outside. This container in the battery becomes a nice carrying pouch for small items.
I recommended to make these amends - in a nicer industrially designed way - to Zerolemon for their future note battery case versions, alas they didn't respond... :O)
Why not just buy a portable power bank? This case looks like it turns your phone into a brick! Def a hard pass for me.
