Hi all,
i've just tried to root this HTC500 Dual Sim and everything was going fine untill i've installed CWMRecovery.
As soon as i've installed that file the phone went off and now it's not turning on.
If i put under charge i have a blinking orange light.
I can't access or switch it on.
I've tried to remove the battery for 10min, tried to "recalibrate" the charging circuit (holding all the button for 2 mins), tried to press 10 time the power button and than 2 min....but nothing.
I've also tried the method of putting the plaster and cover the central pins of the battery
is it dead?

Hi,
I did something stupid yesterday: removed the battery while booting. It was on the boot animation screen, after the Motorola logo went out.
Now I can't turn the phone on, the white charging LED does not light up when connected on the computer USB port or the wall/car charger.
Tried:
- Removed/reinserted battery
- Press power button with SIM removed
- Press power button with memory card
removed
- Press power button and X
- Press power button and UP
- Press power button without battery inserted, while on wall charger (?)
Android version: 2.1. Stock version, rooted, no overclocking.
There's no sign of life on the device. Tried leaving it for 2 hours without the battery to powercycle it and tried leaving it to "charge" in the wall charger overnight and still no signs of life. At one point the LED white light flashed for a fraction of a second when inserting the cable but it no longer does this I don't think.
Could this be a battery problem?
Just want to check with you guys before taking it to the authorized service, because it will take weeks to get back.
Thanks.
Alright, so I just checked and when I plug my phone into the wall charger, the LED comes on for a split second then disappears. Also, since I lost my original battery, this battery was bought online, not too sure if it is a generic battery though.
At this point, im leaning towards this being a battery issue. Am I correct?
use rsd lite and try to flash a new sbf image
Hi have you found solution of this problem ? Yesterday i did same thing as you while booting removed batery and now it is dead it wont charge battery and same as yours when pluging charger led flashes for a fraction of second ...
maybe u must reflashed the firmware
I have same problem with my Milestone now. Not possible to power ON my phone. Tried to plug it in PC but the system didn't detect it for RSD re-flash.
Anyone have another ideas? Thanks in advance.
Hi,
My brother's Z1 got in to a pool yesterday. After a couple of minutes, the phone shut down, and then turned back on. When it turned on and he got to the homescreen, the phone was working all by itself, randomly opned apps and was shut down, and then started again. And it went on like this for a couple of hours.
I told him to open all the flops, remove SD card and SIM card and whenever the phone turned on, hold the power button and the volup up button, so it didn't turn on. Today, the phone's battery was dead, so he had to charge it in order to turn the phone on. The problem is when he connects the charger, the red led begins to blink and the phone vibrates in three times rows. Like it vibrates three times, takes a little break, and then vibrates three times again.
Any suggestions, or are the phone completly dead? :/
Thanks

If your lucky it could be a faulty cable as my phone did the same thing until i got a brand new cable, it seems unlikely that the phone is dead if you get some responsiveness however it's still a possibility, i'd put the phone in a bag of rice with all the flaps open and all the cards removed, and leave it in the bag for around 48 hours, then attempt to power the phone back on.
My 2 months old z3c was not turning on from past 3 days. Last time i saw the mobile with 30% battery left, suddenly the phone switch off itself. When i try to connect to wall cahrger or PC, i saw only RED led indicator( no charging animation, no sony logo, no vibration ). I have tried key combination to turn on mu device, but nothing worked,......... If anyone know the solution pls reply
On the left side of your phone, in the flap on the downside, there is right next to where you put your SIM card slot a yellow button. try pressing this one for several seconds, it will force shutdown your phone completely.
Here is a guide: http://support.sonymobile.com/gb/xperiaz3compact/userguide/Resetting-your-device/
maybe this helps
Thanks man, you help me to revive my phone
I have Xperia Z3+ dual E6533 that was on custom ROM working fine for almost 4 months.
suddenly after installing Xposed framework second day while on ultra stamina mode once I try to deactivate it and go back to normal it goes into boot loop.
once I turn off the phone and let it charge to 100% tried again to boot but still the same so I left the phone for a couple of hours to be cool down after around 15 min boot loop.
suddenly it's not responding anymore for any key combination or hard reset or reflash.
I tried hard reset by the small button next to sim card slot, by (Power & Volume +), by removing the battery and reinstall it again.
now the computer does not recognize the phone at all and cannot go in flash mode or fastboot mode.
I tried also holding the volume- before connecting the phone and holding it until connecting to PC but nothing showing in device manager.
now all that is coming that once it's connected to wall charger it's blinking red for 2 days now and while pressing the power button the blinking red light turns into stable one not blinking.
I have already read most of the similar issues written for other devices and tried most of them but still nothing.
can anyone help me?
Hi,
My Mi5 won't start now. It was having about 60% when I switched on NFC for the first time. I may have switched the NFC on and off a couple of time. Then I inserted the phone into its case , and by mistake the wrong way which might have pressed the power button / volume button , while I was inserting the phone into the case I noticed the phone was turning off. Quickly I realized the phone went the wrong way into the case and I removed and reinserted it and then pressed the power button, but nothing happened. Tried pressing volume up / down / power button but no use. But the phone was warm.
Now, the only sign of life in the phone is when charging it using the regular original charger. The light is initially purple and then turns to green but then it switches off. Tried connecting it to laptop but does not show anything. Also, the safe mode boot method does not work. So, the phone does charge but pressing power button does not turn it on but just makes it warm (some kind of startup loop)
I've been using the phone for last more than 2 years and it has original setup and updates are automatic and regular.
Just don't want to trash the phone if it can be revived.
Looking for advise.
Thanks
