Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Battery Case, 5200 mAh Charger Rechargeable Backup Portable External Power Pack for Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (Black) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01DJC492K/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awd_AOvexb28AXDGR this isn't bad for the price. Seems to have pass though charging too.

This looks quite fishy for me. The whole deal is hard to believe. I don't believe that it holds 5200 mAh power. Since it's been a while since you wrote this post, I want to ask if you still have this pack? Are you satisfied? I would always go with a Zerolemon or an Incipio. I was considering I-blades also since I can get extra memory and a whole bunch of other functionalities. What are your thoughts on this?
These are fairly generic looking battery backs. I have wrote a review about the SAVFY one which looks identical. I doubt they're 5200Mah as well..... it's simply too small. It might be a 4200Mah though.

Maybe there's a way I can test?

I would never go with a chinese power case. Maybe if it was just a case. But batteries or electronic components, not so much. My advice is to make a bigger investment with something that holds quality since you are using it with a very expensive smartphone. I've come across several smart cases. So you can check Nexpaq, I-blades or this Otterbox if you are interested in something innovative. You can get extra battery life, expand memory, put laser light, enviro sensor etc. Take a look, at least it is not something ordinary. If you are only into extra battery the Zerolemon is always here
I've rooted around plus searched but haven't seen any reviews of battery packs.
I bought a Mophie for my S7 Edge because I had one for a previous phone but may be sending this one back.
Once attached to my S7 Edge, it doesn't want to be removed. I fear I'll either damage my camera lens or break the Mophie (I already accidentally split the case).
Additionally the S7's battery finishes charging long before the battery pack and I'm concerned that charging for so long will eventually damage my phones battery especially since the Mophie gives no indication when its fully charged unless one continuously presses the battery status button.
Has anyone posted recommendations specifically for accessory battery packs?
Thanks.
This is one you might like to try. It offers so much more than the Mophie for the same price. The design of the case is miles ahead and besides adding power you get 64GB of storage as well. They call it a modular smart case. You just snap on a blade depending on the functionality you need and you’re done.
They have a cool VR blade as well but you need to pay extra for it. Either way, I think if you are disappointed with the Mophie this is a nice alternative and a step up IMO https://i-blades.com/samsung-phone-cases/galaxy-s7-edge-battery-life-case-memory/
As final alternative you can check the Otterbox solutions.
Peace
I found the Incipio Off Grid battery case on Groupon for only $30 with free shipping. I like it so far, it's bulky and heavy so I'll only use it when I will be away from a charger for most of the day or for camping.
More than 50% off sold me on it and loved their cases back when I had an S4.

First, I did receive a review sample from ZeroLemon.
If you're looking for a slim solution, this is NOT your choice, if you're looking for massive amounts of additional power on the go without having to carry a cable and external battery, then this IS your solution.
As I'm sure everyone will mention, it's LARGE. Until battery tech gets smaller, you gotta cram that battery somewhere. It's pretty hefty as well. If you wanted with this battery pack, you could outlast everyone around you in a marathon Pokemon Go session, long flights of movies won't be a problem. It's not going to provide any screen protection if dropped, but it might give you some arm workouts as you use the phone.
It's brainless to use. Plug your Note 8 into the battery case. All the button passthru's worked fine and aligned up. You are still "capable" of using the fingerprint reader, expect a bit more "reach" to get there. The case itself doesn't block the camera at all. No ghosting of the case in your photos.
If I were designing this, I would have added a flipout kickstand so you could just sit and watch movies without having to hold the bulk.
Product Packaging:
Packaging is quite simple, it’s a white ziplock bag and a brown cardboard box. There isn’t much in terms of instructions, just a small flip out pamphlet that instructs you on how to plug in the battery and case.
The battery attaches to the Note 8 via the USB-C port on the phone. The battery attachment also charges through a USB-C female port, so there is no need to change chargers or cables that you are already using with the phone.
Battery Usage:
I charged the case for approximately 12 hours before initial use – as instructed on the white ziplock bag that it all comes in.
The battery/case:
It’s a simple TPU case. It has a matte texture that feels good in the hands and prevents slippage.
After testing the battery case with the camera flash, I found no issues.
There is no need to remove the phone from the attachment in order to transfer files to your computer – something that is not possible with another extended battery case I tried using prior to this one.
Charging:
The battery itself does not support fast charging from the battery to the Note 8, but it does allow for pass through quick charging of your phone if you connect the battery case to your Samsung fast charger.
Pros:
Good extended capacity
Power on/off button
Solid construction of battery and case
Pass-through quick charging
Data transfer pass-through
Worked first time. Living up to name ZeroLemon.
Case itself is grippy and comfortable
Cons:
No NFC
No QI charging
Recessed fingerprint reader
Noticeable increase in weight and thickness of the phone
Needs a flip out kickstand.
Interestingly, if you try to go to the product page its a page saying "Oops - We couldn't find that one"

Not sure it's official released. Not on Amazon yet that I saw.

Interesting that they make two of them now. I wonder how much thinner the 5500 will be compared to the 10000 one.
I saw that 5500 version a few weeks ago before the 10,000 mah one was listed and didn't like the way it looked. The 10,000mah one looks decent, I need to know if it will work with the Whitestone Dome though.
When you are charging this, does the phone and the case get charged in parallel? Or the phone first, then the case etc.
Also how long does it take to charge the case itself, with the phone in it?

I like mine. It's a little smaller and the case is refreshed from older models I've used from ZL

Well I went thru 2 10000 cases in 1 week and both failed. Then I bought this slim one. Worked great for 2 charges and then would not take charge from factory charger. Will only charge from pc. Contacted zerolemon and was told must be defective cable. Lol. Yet charges my phone properly. Zerolemon is garbage and I recommend everyone to stay away from it. Last 2 phones product has gone to worthless in less then 2 weeks.
All their 5500 seems to be is a rebranded knockoff of the ebay versions for about $20 more. The 10 000 version looks like there's. Bottom line, like the OP said. It's heavy, no wireless charging, no magnet, no nfc. Those three are a killer, I regret not waiting for mophie's more expensive alternative.
The Mophie one is only 2950mAh and can only charge the phone 50% of juice.

Sorry I don't have it. I want to purchase it but it is currently out of stock.
It should be smaller in size than zerolemon as it has smaller capacity, I think.

After trying some chinese battery cases, i feel like chinese lie about mah values. I used a 6500 mah case before returning it as I only got 1.5 x charge with it. Was totally not worth the bulk.
Considering the mophie case is 2950 mah, would it even fully charge the note 8 once? I've never used mophie so maybe their battery claim can actually charge one full battery?
Also, would samsung pay work with the mophie case?

No because the Note 8 has 3300mah. Also when its being used its going to deplete at the same time. Its a good boost but very expensive. The chargeforce system however is really cool if you're already in the ecosystem.
its actually a good price, but mah not a lot
and when the mophie pack charges, it doesn't quick charge right?
Seems like it was a limited production release for the note 8 mophie juice pack. I ordered the same day I was notified, and back ordered for a month.

Some of the less reputable ones might lie but you're not going to get 10000mah out of a 10000mah pack even with a legit samsung power bank.
Read up on it: https://www.phonearena.com/news/Heres-why-power-banks-arent-as-big-as-they-seem-to-be_id67153
Magnetic issue.
Can anyone whose getting the juice pack or charge force confirm whether or not the magnets mess with the stylus, the other similar cases (i-blade) has issues caused by the magnet. It causes the stylus to not be able to draw properly (I have it on my note 10.1 when i used a case with a magnetic latch).
I've read on reddit that people purchaased the S7 edge battery and managed to squeeze it in their S6.
Was wondering if we could emulate this for the S7/S7e. The S7 active has a 4000mah battery and from the looks of it, the dimensions seem similar. Not sure about the thickness though.
To anyone who has access to spare phone parts lying around, could you post the dimensions of the S7 active battery? If they are indeed similar, maybe we could put it in the S7e?
I'm not sure if the innards are designed the same between the s7 & s7A. Until we can find out though, you can always get a Mophie Juice Pack for a extra 3,300 mAh.
http://www.mophie.com/shop/juice-pack-galaxy-s7-edge
OR a Zero Lemon battery case that provides 8500 mAh.

This is a cool idea, and I reckon that if I were to open it up the battery should be easily removed. But I am not game to open up a phone that Samsung recommends us not to open for water resistance and I don't trust myself enough on a phone I have had for less than a year reasons haha.
I am interested on the results of anyone who has tried/ will try.
