Hi Guys
I want to see which stock firmware is batter ???!!
regarding performance, battery life, signal strength ....ect
this thread is to compare performance of Note 4 with KitKat, Lollipop & Marshmallow .
Please to mention your Note 4 model
thnx
KIT KAT OF COURSE is the best for battery performance
Marshmallow is the best considering performance and battery life.

Supercell games on KitKat?
Can you install/play clash of clans and clash royale in 4.4.4? I would like to try kitkat but hesitant because of those 2 games.
Kitkat (FireKat specifically) for battery life and xposed. 5.0.1 was a mess. 5.1.1 better. 6.0.1 haven't tried yet as I am on a 910T.

best battery life and stability
Well with 3220 mAh battery I believe Note 4 should go on more .
it is clear for now that KitKat was the best for battery life but why ??!!
upgrading the OS is all about improving the smartphone performance not to make it worse !!!
now is it Google mistake with Lollipop as previously Samsung claims ??!!
then Marshmallow should be better than Kitkat ......
Hope Samsung will fix this in the next Marshmallow build
Can i should return back from 5.1.1 without tripping knox counter?

Asking questions like these is unfortunately pretty useless.
You ask 3 different people and get 4 different opinions anyway...
Not to mention that the Note models and most importantly the usage differs a lot from user to user.
I know what you want to know, and I guess everybody would like to know like the OP, but I'm just saying that it isn't that easy
MM is the best one it is more smooth and the battery is much better. with snapchat insta FB real racing 3 and other apps lost 50% from morning to 4pm ....Hane Base Rom which is base from the Stock one is much better..
FEATURES:
Based on N910CXXU2DPCB Firmware (TW MM 6.0.1).

Build.prop Support.
Init.d Support.
Busyboxed/Rooted.
Debloated few apps (which you can find in PlayStore).
No wifi problems.

Private mode support.

and can you tell us in what?
5.1.1 was a LOT better than KK for me. Far smoother, and after a couple of days, good battery life too.
I just couldn't go back to KK it was far too choppy on comparison.
For some reason I've had excellent battery life with 5.1.1 so I don't even know if I want to try MM. I'm afraid I'll spoil something. It took me a long while, and apps I don't need on my Note4 to repair the battery drain in my S6 edge+ after the update to 6.0.1

If it's perfect I don't know that I'd mess with it. I may keep KK as I have my rom, theme, xposed, font, and app permissions (AppOpsXposed) all set up how I like them now.

Marshmallow Far better than other two, better battery better performance... It'll take couple of days to get good battery life after the marshmallow upgrade from lollipop 5.1.1.. Now I'm on 40% with 3h 40m screen on time 19h 32m standby time... Doze working great.. I'm using 910G... Indian version..

Of couse, its runs well, there is nothing wrong with it. The Galaxy Note 3 is a beast of a device, root or not. I got my Note with KK pre-installed and while I want root, the device hasn't missed a beat so far, everything runs smoothly.
Yes and no. Yes because I like the plain white status bar icons. No because I can't root, I can't use third party apps to write to the external SD card, and after downgrading to KitKat it has erased my external SD card twice.
i have had no issues with the ota rom, and from my kingo rooted, no rom'd jelly bean, my battery life is minimum 50% better on the OTA KK
KK has been running fantastic for me. I never run the stock launcher so really for me the ONLY thing I wish I was able to do is run Xposed modules Wanam to change a few visual items. But performance wise? ZERO issues at all. Battery life is excellent for me(Please remember thats VERY subjective)
My battery life went down. I am in the process of backing up all my settings to do a hard reset. The phonehas also started to hang when waking up from screen off.

I'm pleased with 4.4.2. It fixed my GPS and video problems. The phone's performance (including battery life) is about the same or slightly better than before the update. It's been very stable. No problems with using my (64GB) microSD card (encrypted).
I love the official kitkat because it's soooo smooth, but I miss having the freedom of changing things around a bit. But I still think my battery life was a bit better with jellybean. I use to get 6 hours screen time as with the ota kitkat only giving me 5 hour's. I guess I have to take the good with the bad.

So is there any chance of anyone achieving root on the official KK?
I think there is a chance. I bet we'll have root again sometime between now and the end of the year.
Hello community
Just wanted to know how your battery is doing since the kit kat update? I was thinking of rolling back to jellybean since my battery appears to be draining about 30% faster and the camera seems to lag so much more. Any suggestions? I have done a clean install of KK and even a master reset to resolve these issues.
My battery is about the same, maybe slightly better. I did have to use a paperclip to press the hard restart button but since then everything is great. No lag either, I did have bit before the restart but all is good now.

in both KK official update my phone do his job so well! no battery drain no lag no overheat ! but if your bootloader is unlocked I suggest you to use some custom kernel and use some kind of configuration for governor that balance battery use whit your daily usage.
I have the same issue on z1s, it drains a bit more on KK
I had massive issues with fast dormancy. But that must have been in JB already?
So I have flashed from SOKP to CM11 and am finding that Android OS takes up more then 40% of my battery usage... Batterylife is not nearly as good as the stock ROM on the Z1 where Android OS doesn't take up that much.. + I can't get LTE on this ROM in places where I had it on stock, anything I can do about the batterylife and LTE ?? Am really annoyed about the performance
I have some picture proof for you..
Edit: two more similar screens.. One from the SOKP ROM and the other the same CM11 like the previous screen... Its better then SOKP, but still I'm a bit disappointed
Last edit - this is with mobile data off at all times and WiFi on only for the last two or so hours in both cases... :/ CM11 is significantly better, but still nowhere near stock
Do you have any stock CM like ROMs that have at least on-pair battery life performance like stock ?

If you're running utorrent all the time then what do you expect?
Screen on time matters a lot
Issues with custom roms should be reported in their respective threads. There are at least a few CM11 roms for the Z1 and each one will be different.
Try better battery stats app to see what's really chewing your battery.
That's just a coincidence in the screenshots and Utorrent would show up with more % if I left in on all the tims.

Hello people.
Recently I rooted not SGS3 mini and so far in loving it. I installed many apps for rooted phones and some xposed modules that save battery, but still I feel the battery is draining fast. I have stock 4.1.2 android with stock touchwiz and I do love the touchwiz (not like most people). My questing is this: Is there like a perfect ROM that is fast, and the battery usage is good(not talking about pretty because that I think I can customize)?

I need your help. I have problems with my N910T, it makes dias Dr Ketan install the rom rom based on 6.0.1, I did as I was in 5.1.1, turn off my Note all night and the next day had dropped about 20% load. Install another rom, with OvrDriVE and I also did the same. Now I install official 6.0.1 rom stock, I proceed to install NobleRom V3 which is very good rom and also reoccurs me the same battery drain while my note is off all night. Thanks in advance for your opinions and suggestions.

You need to give a ROM about 3-5 days to settle before the battery is life is at its peak. I recently flashed marshmallow and it took 4 days to settle. There was a big difference on the fourth day. I think doze takes a while to work.

Use the custom rom for a week or so, and the problem was the same, to turn my note all night the next day down around 10% charge my battery. I have 2 batteries are almost new and both the same thing happens

I have not removed any app, how rare in 5.1.1 me does not happen. 6.0.1 Stock not me in that problem happens drain
Use the wake lock detector app to see what's using to much battery or at least look in settings at the battery section to see what apps are using the most juice.
