Screenshots of notifications - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I did a search but can't fix a solution. How can I take a screenshot of the notification area? Everything I've tried, the notifications collapse prior to the screenshot. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Guys/Girls.
If this has been spoke about before then i sincerely apologise and please just redirect me.
How can i edit the notifications i get for text msgs etc at top of screen? I liked the function on my iPhone 4 where it had options of telling you who texted or displaying partial msg and name. Is there something similar for my Note?
regards,
Barry.

I am on the stock ICS ROM and all my texts are displayed on the status bar and also from whom they are. That's how it has been on Android from as long as I can remember.

Hey Brock,
Looking for a solution that cuts out notifications appearing on top bar altogether. Is proving problematic especially if i am showing my screen to someone and a msg comes through and they can read it :/
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA
Try Go Sms Pro you can turn the privacy mode on and in the status bar there will be a notification "new message" instead of the message itself

What do you want?
Thanks abagnale, ill try it.
And hippo, i thought that was evident from my questions. The underlying requirement is to not have my entire msg displayed on notification bar, rather i would prefer a name or simple "msg received from" notification.
Thanks anyway.

Carrier Logo Note 3

I recently rooted my At&t Galaxy Note 3 with success. I noticed this little annoying problem and can't figure it out. Prior to the Root process the Att carrier logo in the status notification bar (Upper Left Corner) would Display for a few seconds then disappear. Now it stays on constantly. I have searched all through the settings and can't figure it out. Thanks in advance.

Xposed Framework + Wanam Xposed. Lots of little tweaks and works perfectly on the Note 3.
So Is it normal for the AT&T logo to be on constant?
Yes. It only goes away when you have notifications.

Is "Hide navigation bar per app" still there?
Hi, I've just bought the LG GFlex today. My D955 comes with JB 4.2.2.
I do really love the feature that let me hide the navigation bar per app, I find it extremely useful.
I'm really curious to know whether this setting is still available into the new KitKat update.
Reading that the LG G Pro 2 having already KitKat doesn't have it, although it has a software nav bar, I'm wondering whether this feature is incompatible with KitKat due to its full screen API.
Those of you who already updated their GFlex can please answer this question?
Thanks
I am also interested in this question.
Some have the 4.4.2, could give us the answer.
Thank you.

I'm curious as to if google wallet tap and pay finally works. I may be completely mistaken, but on KitKat, I don't believe you need the secure element like you did on older android versions. Not having tap and pay is one of my few complaints about this phone.

I just updated my F340K to 4.4 and now I get a google error in each boot, "com.google.services.gapps has halted". I tested several solutions like clear cache, clear google data, also removed my google account from mobile phone and still appears.
anybody with same problem?.
Regards.

I'm replying to myself, the problem comes from swiftkey app (swipe keyboard), after unistall it the error message gone. Maybe a compatibilty issue with KitKat.
I left the solution here for further reference.

Crap. I miss that coming from my old Galaxy Nexus. I figured as soon as I got on a carrier phone, it would be blocked because they have that worthless pile of garbage Isis as their own.
Hi again guys, after update to 4.4 I'm having very heavy battery problems. I lost around 20% of autonomy, I already check startup software without results, anyone in same situation?.

kitkat update, looking good
Got my kitkat update yesterday (I'm in the UK with an f340 model). Things I've noticed so far:
Text does look sharper (different font?).
Home screen now available in portrait.
Better way of handling apps in full screen (before there was a small arrow at the bottom of the screen to show the soft keys if you'd chosen to hide them for selected apps. Now you swipe up to show the soft keys - definite improvement).
You can hide the volume and/or brightness sliders in the notification pull down.
You can now say OK Google when you launch Google by swiping up the home key.
Signal strength, and other information in the status bar at the top are now white/light grey (I've already forgotten if they were green before!)
Love this phone!

Great. This means that there still the possibility to hide the nav bar selecting which app to apply this feature to. Thank you so much. ??

How To Remove Brightness Slider from Notification Window
Like many others I really dislike all the wasted space on the stock Samsung notification panel. While I haven't found a way to remove the buttons, I did find a way to remove the brightness slider.
Download and install Lux Light - After enabling it, Lux Light will replace the system brightness slider in the notification panel with its own.
Enter the Lux Light settings and disable the persistent notification. - Under Advanced, uncheck Persistent notification.
Enjoy.

It might seem long but it's literally only 1 second in total. Time it if you don't believe me . I was annoyed at first too, but I actually find it more convenient now the more I use it.
I also don't like the changes they made to the Samsung browser.
