I posted this on the other s6 forum before realizing there was an ATT version forum.. My S6 loops on the Samsung logo. I can get into recovery. I have tried a factory reset. This did not help. I used ODIN to place stock rom. Didn't work. I then tried 5.1.1. It installs fine but still bootloops. I tried to install TWRP but I keep getting fail on ODIN. Not sure what to try next. Any suggestions?

How did you get into loops in the first place.
Sometimes if it is from installing firmware you can wipe cache and dalvik.
tried that stuff first. Just started doing it out of nowhere.

The ATT variant has a locked bootloader, I'm not sure flashing TWRP would be successful. I would suggest downloading the most current firmware, it's available in a thread in the GENERAL section, and flashing it via Odin.

here is my situation:
rooted galaxy mini with CM9 installed.
i remember when i installed this i first flashed my stock phone using odin. that process rooted it. then i installed CWM in recovery mode. then i installed the CM9 file again in recovery mode.
now i want to go back to GB. i am downloading the official rom for my country from sammobile. my query is that do i simply install that rom from recovery mode or do i again have to flash it using odin or something? also is there a way to UNROOT my mobile or not?
kindly give me a detailed procedure. i looked in the threads for this but did not find detailed info.
thanks in advance
flash the official rom with odin and there you go
Either flash any custom gb-based rom, or just flash stock with odin, the second option will also unroot your phone. Search on yagyagaire.blogspot.com for detailed instructions.
Flash the latest stock rom again..
But first wipe data/cache

what version of odin did you used? for galaxy mini it's recommended to use odin 4.38. here's instruction that i used to upgrade my phone to gingerbread http://yagyagaire.blogspot.ie/2011/12/how-to-upgrade-samsung-galaxy-pop-to.html#more just replace firmware with your region, for me it was europe
firmware is not important..any region is fine...
samsung is racist XD for dividing the same old AOSP gingerbread into different locales and simply adding new lockscreens in new builds XD
lol

Wipe data and cache before and after flashing. Or try using the firmware which has 4 files... use XWKTN.

Okay guys so I just rooted my att note 3 that was completely up to date using the towelroot.com method found here. Stupidly of me I was trying to follow a thread to change my system language in build.prop but after doing that It ONLY boots to recovery / safestrap. After the safestrap screen I tell it to continue to boot normaly and all i get after that is a black screen.
Any ideas? Is it possible to flash safestrap from odin / heimdall / recovery?
Ive tried factory resetting from safestrap and recovery and that didn't change anything.
I not even sure I have safestrap at this point I can get into recovery, and download mode but it sits at the "Samsung Galaxy NOTE 3 [Unlocked Icon] Custom" screen. It wont actually progress to the safestrap.
Before I tried to edit that build.prop the root / safestrap worked fine all day today, restarted several times for different reasons and still worked afterwards.
I had no encryption enabled.
Via recovery -
"Android system recovery <3e>
KOT49H.N900AUCUCNC2"
**** This Worked ****
Possibly? this as a fix?
Would this be okay to use as a stock Kitkat firmware resource for an Odin flash?
Anyone have a N900AUCUCNC2 ROM or firmware I can flash?

i have the .zip files for it and odin 3
*it sounds to me like a bootloop or a softbrick, I would recommend using this odin 3 and flash the stock kk rom the one i have is the unofficial and is pre-rooted. but it works when i bricked mine repeatedly trying roms.

That'd be awesome if you could get that to me some how. I more or less have everything fixed but the wake-up after entering my pattern lock is ungodly slow so I'd like to possibly try a different one.

You are going to have to reflash stock firmware yes, theres a thread for it in general, might be a couple pages back. Just for future refrence, safestrap doesnt really work(in a fully conventional way) on lollipop, and you cant install twrp or cwm or philz or anything else.

G870A_OC5_Stock_Rooted_ROM won't flash with Odin. If you flashed stock NE4 .tar in odin and won't boot try factory reset from recovery

So I upgraded my firmware to TMO 5.1.1 then tried to use CF-Auto Root and now I'm stuck in a boot loop. Is there a stock TMO 5.1.1 that I'm able to flash through Odin??

Reboot in recovery mode
Flash freeza beastmode kernel :good:
So I'm really screwing up. Before I did what you said, I tried to install another rom. In Doing so I wiped all data, system too. So the beast mode kernel was installed but now theres no os. Any suggestions?
EDIT: So I installed the Rapture rom and it looks like I'm good to go right now! Thanx

Never forget read before flashing a rom if is the first time than you do this
You don't need wipe system if you want keep the rom
But I'm glad to hear that your phone works again thanks to xda and all developers :highfive:
Somehow I softbricked factory resetting my device and cannot find official software for it anywhere. It is the T-Mobile T818T.
It keeps rebooting into TWRP and won't go into system at all. Smart switch doesn't recognize it. So I need the Odin file.

I am not sure if the odin file is available for this model. Try a 'Format Data' from TWRP, in case if it is related to encryption.

First there are no roms for my model, second, finally got it fixed. Reflashed TWRP, and flashed SuperSU and the no force encrypt, and it booted right up.

If you can't find the firmware, make a backup and put it on your computer. If you ever screw up the firmware you will thank yourself.
