Unchecked the auto-reboot option in Odin, then boot into recovery right after flashing.

n7000 won't turn on, pc doesn't recognize after CWM FLASH

So, i get galaxy note n7000. It was running 4.0.4 stock. I flashed kernel with odin with root + cwm. Then i wiped data, tried to install rom (it was miui 3.9.6 from here) progress stucked on /formatting system. Then screen went black and phone won't turn on after that. I founded one user from russian forum who had same issue, idk how he fixed it..
So, phone won't turn on , go to recovery, pc can't see it. hardly bricked? By cwm flash..?
Phone has got warranty. Maybe i should bring it to them? Could they know that phone was rooted?
Seems i have the same problem like here...
Which Cwm did you use? Was it Cwm. Zip?

cwm 5. I heard about cwm zip, but no. I got cwm by installing custom kernel in odin. Or you're talking about something else?
And yes, i'm soon going to the carrier where this phone was bought. Which is the best version to tell? OTA update?
Yeah, just say it failed doing ota update.

Well,be happy you didn't have to pay for that. Now read about the brick bug.

[Q] No bootloader

Hey guys,
My friend gave me his Ace (S5830) that he had managed to soft brick while trying to root it. He also wanted CM10.1 on it. I found tutorials online, and flashed what claimed to be a CWM recovery .tar and the OPC in Odin, so it now boots to how he had it before. However when I use any tool to boot into recovery, it soft bricks again, with the Samsung logo and web link, so I have to use Odin to fix it again. If I try power+menu on boot it just shows the logo and link, however taking the battery out lets it boot normally. Should I install a stock firmware from sammobile.com, or give up?
P.S. If stock restore, how?

You can get Official firmwares from here

But it boots OK now, as long as it's not rebooted into recovery by ADB or an app. Will a stock rom via Odin fix the bootloader issue?

Use this method it's quite easy http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2862299
Sorry...I'm on the s5 active..and the reason I asked this method is because I was rooted with safe strap and wanted to unroot and take the OTA update. .well I tried all the methods mentioned in that post but Odin just stops at initializing and when I try going to the stock recovery and flashing the update there it's still NE4 not NG4. .so I'm kinda lost

Root 5.1.1 update not exactly sure how?

I've never had any hiccups rooting any galaxy always choosing chainfire method .
Just picked up s6 and updated to 5.1.1
As I'm looking around posts it's not telling me a lot about root options without any issues ..I see more about issues on 5.1.1 camera issues etc...after root and having to flash boot.bin ?
What is the current safest method to root the 5.1.1 update ,Is it still using chainfire 5.0.2 root
Last thing I want is problems .
A link and quick rundown would be awesome
Like i mentioned I've never felt the need ever to ask about rooting any galaxy s4 S5 etc.... except this time seems necessary

I am having the same issue as OP. I don't know how he feels about it, but I don't care about KNOX! Help! Pingpong seemed the safest alternative after multiple attempts using ODIN always resulting in soft brick. Pinpong apparently isn't updated for the S6 even though I got the link in the T-mobile thread for the S6

I thought that method only gives you a temp root as it causes issues with calling and/or wifi, so you use it just to unlock then revert back to gain functionality?

The first method jeffrelyn_ posted is what you need if you don't care about Knox. Issues with calling were only when the method was first created, but has been patched for a while now so no issues, and it is a permanent root
The engineering bootloader is the only method that has a problem because the fingerprint reader does not function

Alright, if you don't care about KNOX:
Get the correct version of TWRP for your device. Flash using ODIN. Might as well flash the latest bootloader and modem if you haven't done so already (flash entire firmware package if you can't find the modem/bootloader only).
Now, grab the latest Unikernel from the Unified Development forum. Flash using ODIN/TWRP, your choice (pick the right one!).
Download SuperSU from the Play Store. ??? Profit!

I already have the correct version of TWRP for my phone but I don't know how to go about flashing it with ODIN. I'm kind of new to Samsung and ODIN and I am kind of ignorant to this whole process, but I want to learn!!
So I just flash TWRP directly?

I mean flash it to the phone using ODIN directly as I do not have root yet. Which I thought would make TWRP useless

Got the SM-T817, where can i download the samsung or google phone app to use with SIM

Guys,
Got my Samsung TAB S2 9.7, SM-T817 last week and finally got it rooted. All my apps are installed and i'm running stock Samsung ROM (Android 5.1.1). Now, i know this tablet can make and receive phone calls but... There is no phone app installed on it. It's the Bell Mobility version and i knew that it would not come with it when i purchased it. I thought i could easily find a stock Samsung phone app APK somewhere, that i could install on my rooted tablet and start using but so far, i have not found any !!
Any of you can help me regarding this ? I need a phone app that talks to my SIM card, not a dialer using VOIP service...
Thanks

You're gonna need more than just an app, likely you will need the whole framework.
Try installing a T815 system.img with TWRP.

Just download the stock firmware and either flash the system.img with Flashfire or twrp.
Make sure you have a backup of your system partition before flashing.
