Yeah I posted and then used the search function. I found it.
Should've linked it here
That would defeat the purpose of the search engine.
Strephon, doesn't that sort of go against the spirit of your sig: "so everyone can benefit"...
The "spirit" of my sig is simple. I am no one's personal guru or help desk and don't field help requests sent in PM, of which I received a great many of in the past. In this case, asking for a link on the forums that has already been posted multiple times benefits no one except the lazy.
The search engine exists for a reason. USE IT!

I have placed a link to my game on my blog and I wanted to know how many people actually click on the ad. I have used simple method, goo.gl URL shortener. I have used this one because I of course already have a google account. I can track all shorted links and google gives me simplified, but useful data.

Yes you also have bit.ly , both are great
I have tried both options.
It's very useful for simple click tracking.

I've spent the last few months developing a tool to do exactly this, its called Taveo. You can read more at: taveo.net
It's similar to bit.ly, but has a lot more features (think bit.ly + Google Analytics).
I am currently running a private beta, but if anyone on the forum here is interested in a Beta Invite, pm me and I will provide one.
I have cyanogen 10.2 on my lg p880 , but I needed fm radio few days ago but I couldn't find it , is there an app to have a local radio without internet?

Before you get shouted at (it's normally me who does this), follow the first rule of XDA and SEARCH!! Or even open your eyes and look on the first page. I don't believe that the existing threads weren't suggested when you created this one.

Thanks that was really helpful I did search alot, I started with google then I went to xda developers, but then I thought that I should create a thread to ask in Lg p880 since supporting fm radio might varies from a phone to another.

The only thing I like less on here than a lazy person who refuses to search is one who lies. On this very first page is a thread called "Radio CM" - so you can't possibly have searched very hard
Sure I wanted to lie to make my point. Anyway I don't care enough to argue with you about it, just thanks now step aside and let someone who is willing to help here , to really help

You really are special aren't you (and I don't mean that in a good way). The Rules of XDA exist for a reason - and the first rule is;-
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.

You have made 28 posts since you joined and created 9 threads - that's only 1 less than I've ever created. I've given you the answer already, but you are so sure that you are special and deserve everything given to you on a plate that you won't even bother looking. XDA is not a help-desk for noobies - and if you have a problem with me saying that then maybe you should have a chat with the moderators, or even with Mike Channon and see what they say about it.
No I don't have a problem with you, I am sorry And thanks for reminding me with the xda-rules. I guess this thread should be deleted ?
then dont search scroll down to yesterday posts. this radio thing had a fight already and has the answer too there . hahaha

I've seen many many threads about obvious stuff (which apparently mine was although Google Search did not find what I was looking for.)
So, why was my thread closed but other people get the opportunity to have someone help them, even if it was an (so you say) obvious answer?

Moderator closed your thread probably because a simple search on the forum about htc one kernel should had be enough to find your answer.
Maybe you should start by reading the OP of some kernel threads like elementalx, bulletproof, teamseven etc....
and im sure you'll find an asnwer in like 5 min.
hope it help
I'll try again but I've never been successful searching in xda - only with Google. And the Google search I did only referenced a sense kernel. Hence my question. But I will read and search. Thank you for replying although I still don't understand why my thread was closed when so many others are not!

if you don't want to use the search bar, just go at the root of the htc one forum then click on the ''kernel'' tab. All kernel should be listed there
See! Awesome info follows a "stupid" question!

It did and you were right. I thought it would be rather haphazard to just start reading kernel OPs but once I ruled out the sense kernels (including the first two you named) I was able to find TeaMSeven which did the trick. I'm a happy camper and I appreciate your help and advice!!
Btw, I was hesitant to flash a kernel without being really familiar with it and the Rom I'm using because, in my experience, developers do not support alternate kernels and I didn't want problems. But in this case my desire to have a menu button overrode all caution.

I wasn't aware of an xda search add-on. I wonder how much more effective it is than just putting xda as a Google search criteria? Guess I'll have to check it out.

Ok, here's another dumb question I've wondered about for a while: I often see someone reference a "link in my signature" but I don't see any links. I must have an xda setting wrong but sure can't find it.

You may have the setting to show sig set to off.

If you cant seem to make the link work then try doing a search for xda search plug in.

it's cause you're using a mobile app, you need to switch to web-view or use a real browser to see the signatures.

Unfortunately http://mycroft.mozdev.org/search-engines.html?name=xda (from your sig) only gives me "Network Error", any other place to see that search engine.
Oh, and at OP, you can always use google, but in the search box, add "site:http://forum.xda-developers.com" that will give you results only from xda forums.
Thread closed,
Note to the OP. If you have an issue with a moderator decision this is not the way to get it addressed. Please contact the moderator directly and ask why the thread was closed. Moderator discussions will not be discussed like this on an open forum.
If the moderator does not get back to you or you do not receive an answer you are looking for please feel free to contact any of the moderators in the team that looks after the forum, in this case the HTC International Team. We will happily deal with any issues you may have.
In terms on answering your original question which was regarding the HTC logo as a menu option there are a number of custom kernels that offer this feature along with other features
Here are two examples to get you going.
[KERNEL] [Jan 6] ElementalX 11.4 10.10.1 8.4
[KERNEL] [Dec 15] Bulletproof | S2W | L2M | DT2W | BLN
If you have any further questions please feel free to contact myself or any of the moderators on my team. For quick reference the moderators are:

Many thanks,

Anyone aware of any work by the devs for unlocking the bootloader on the Note 3, or is this something that won't be available at all for this device?
If yes, then I'll wait for it. If it's not coming anytime soon and I'll just use Safestrap.
Thanks,

It has been talked about a lot. Safestrap is the only available method to do anything for our phone as of this time. I don't see a bootloader unlock coming anytime soon. They still haven't cracked it for the S4 to my knowledge.

I searched "unlocking the bootloader on the Note 3" on Google and clicked the first link. Took under a minute. You could even simply look around this forum and find your answers in many different threads as this question is asked every single day and usually gets worse replies than the one's you've received so far. Developers continually state the request of users to not nag about release dates, progress, etc... Maybe even throw a little common sense in and think to yourself
"Hmm. If I was a developer and I was getting asked the same questions 100+ times a day - cluttering my thread - while I'm putting my hard work into developing FOR FREE on my own personal downtime for the community, wouldn't I get irritated after the millionth time too?"
Or something along those lines. Hundreds will agree, hundreds will disagree, even more won't care.
Conclusion: Search, Research, Search again.
Developers are ALWAYS working their way around these locked down devices and they typically wish to be granted with the patience of others. The more they have to answers those types of questions the longer it'll take for them to develop. You'll know when there's been a breakthrough and you'll know when there's been a release. We're lucky to even have SafeStrap at this point and that's currently all we have.
Information gathered from searching for you. You're welcome.

You can simply say: "No, there's no boat loader unlock available or anytime soon".
Don't feed the trolls. It does nothing but get u in trouble with the mods. I know from personal experience. Like last week. Not worth it.

Goose got banned for making a secondary account after being banned, to ask them to pull his threads or something petty AF like that. I spoke with him recently and he's taking a break for a bit. Since XDA and it's website had been such a sweetheart to work with, I moved my ROM threads to Android Forums. I also got chewed (by XDA) for posting links to Goose's stuff for you guys in Android Forums as well, but I posted links for here in stuff in Android Forums without issue... Hmm,. Lol
