Old ROM has been GB 2.3.6 , right?
There was a case just all a SGSA manufactured in Hong Kong, which after flash with Russian JB lost IMEI and baseband. Even after reflash with JB Rom could not be repaired ...
I do not know what to I advise ....
If you want to return to GB 2.3.6:

SGSA = Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070.
You have two options:
1. Go to Samsung service for repair and pay;
2. Try to install one new JB firmware again and you have two possibilities:
***** a) you have repaired the fault and you are happy;
***** b) do not repair and you go to Samsung service.

thanks ! I used to go to Samsung service for repair : ~200$ for new "main" , with 200$ I can buy S2 or Lenovo in VietNam.
you can try act dumb and tell them it happened overnight (flash 2.3.6 for it to look right)
if they will buy your act it might be still under warranty so for free

Hi,
I've bought a Gear 2 Neo aparently shipped from Vietnam in Romania, and yesterday I've managed to flash with Odin a different firmware PDA: R381XXU0BNL2 CSC: R381OXA0BNL2 for Romania but still the default language after reset is vietnamese.
Can anyone tell me what should I do to fix the default language ?
Thanks
Same problem here, after flashing any csc firmware, still the default language after reset is vietnamese. Tried to enter recovery (on note3 new csc was applied only on entering recovery) but no CSC change.

you can flash the ROM for Taiwan version of 9208, which has the italino. it's also official ROM so you can directly flash it.
Really? With odin? You can send me a link to download it? What version of odin?

Every Samsung Android ROM since the beginning of time can be downloaded at sammobile.com/firmwares. You can google where to download Odin. I just downloaded and used Odin 3 to flash my wife's phone.

Actually from what I read so far the modem of SM-N9208 Malaysia and Taiwan are different so cannot flash directly as is. It said that only system and cache image can be transferred over.
Actually I want to do the opposite from Taiwan to Malaysia but haven't done it because I don't have spare phone now in case it breaks.
Update us how you go with it.

No I can't. That was RomBox's suggestion. Look around the forum and use the search feature. This question has been asked before, and there is a thread for the 9208 in General.

N9208 Update - Taiwan to Indian ROM

Hi Guys,
Can anyone help me know the reason why I cant update my N9208 Taiwan (CSC: N9208ZZT2AOK3) with the Indian N9208 Duos ROM 5.1.1 (CSC: N9208ODI2APC1) (latest on 23-03-2016)
1. Has anyone tried doing it and has been successful through ODIN? If Yes, please let me know the detailed steps. (Need to update it to INDIAN ROM)
If No, can you please help me with the reason (if you know)?
Please help urgently!
If it's the same number (9208) you can flash official samsung rom from india without any problems.

Disagree with you.
Im the owner of N9208 Taiwan version (BRI) and im unable to flash ROM from different region. Odin fails at the start.
It is definitely related to different CSC.
