Hello,
Has anyone tried and succeeded in installing Xposed on Lollipop 5.1.1 on g920a and if so, can you show us the steps?
I know that you can install via FlashFire but I didn't give a shot.
Ony my spare s6 I just used flashfire. Worked like a charm but does trip knox. Any reason why you don't want to trip it other than samsung pay?

Thank you for you quick response. What I meant actually is installing Xposed without voiding the warranty. You know the Warranty Void flag like the one below:

Can you check if yours still 0x0?
thanks

I have a new update. I believe somebody have already installed. Hope so. Is this working with a cell rooted?

I have to assume that that is a 4.4.2 update.has far as I have been able to tell, if you rooted using SlapMyMoto and WPNoMo, then update, you will retain root access but lose your ability to disable write protection via rebooting into recovery.
Mmm i have unlocked bootloader with root through cwm.

Hi I've tried towel root, mod strings and the old active root method. None appear to work. I did previously root my active on 4.4.2 but can't for the life of me remember how?
Pointers would be welcome, Samsung appear to be the only device manufacturer still blocking device customisation.
Cheers in advance.

I've remembered that I used the cf-auto-root method by chainfire. I'll report back if it works with my current setup.

It worked! Officially most pointless thread. Sorry xda ?
So yea, like the titles says. Where can I find the most up to date rooting info for the SM-G900A, and is there any 5.1.1 or Marshmallow Roms that are still being supported out there?
Thank you
There is no root if the phone came with or has taken the lollipop ota. The only working root is from kit Kat. This phone is almost 2 years old and I believe most devs have moved on to a better phone.
I am looking for the same. I got my phone from US AT&T and i try to root it but nothing works. Tried all methods in here. Nothing works. Tried Odin and all the applications like kingo, towel etc.,
Really looking for a help

There is a new root method for the S5 in the Verizon threads for 5.0. Not 5.1.1 so that might be a different beast but still. hope?
I've no idea if this is xposed's doing -- probably not, but after installing xposed through the installer -- none of my bluetooth connections are saved on reboot. I'll connect my car -- it'll work -- but when I reboot, everything gets lost again.
This happened to me on my s8 when I used unofficial xposed. As soon as I changed to official when it was released it stopped doing it.

Yeah that's the proper one. My S6 did it too but I learned to just remember charge it and not turn it off

Ok so you haven't. That's good.
I asked that question because unlocking the BL triggers Knox. Your phones' Knox would permanently not work anymore, which in turn makes Secure Folder and Samsung Pay not work anymore.
But I think in your case there is some other problem...
