It says Tap to open in browser. So I do that. It opens a browser which goes to some Windows Phones page, which has a header called Finish connecting to WiFi. That's less than helpful since there's nothing on that page to let me finish connecting. This renders everything EXCEPT EDGE useless. I can only use Edge, which is how I'm making this post.
Any suggestions here?

I can not seem to find this issue elsewhere.
The skinny is when I open explorer nothing loads. It says connecting when you put in an address. Then nothing.
After I reset it works fine for a while. This is the same when my gps is trying to update every week.
What is weird is the Push function of my email continues to work fine. I am not sure what the issue is. Please point me in the right direction.
Thanks,
BJ
try making your homepage something that is on the net, not a local html file. (which is default) Then see what happens when you open PIE. Also have you changed where PIE stores the temp internet info?
if homepage isnt local then check your proxy settings
Was so looking forward to this. I have some books in Archive that simply fail to download to the HT7, others can take ages to download. Tried removing the app, de-registering on Amazon and re-installing, same issue. Anyone else seeing this ?
Ian
So far my books haved synced fine over Wi-fi. Are you using Wi-Fi or 3G? Do you get any error message?
I'm only attempting this over the WiFi network, it eventually gives up and says failed to download, try again.
The only real possible causes for failed downloads would be loosing wireless connection or Closing the application before the download has completed.
Well I thought this but the iPhone beside me downloads fine over wifi as do my various laptops with the Kindle app installed.
Maybe try de-registering and uninstalling/Reinstalling one more time? Don't know what else to suggest fella.
This is off the amazon website hence why i've quoted it.
Amazon Website said:
Book appears in Kindle Library and Archived Items but download failed.
Possible causes:
Lost wireless connection.
Application closed before download completed.
Confirm wireless connection and retry download
Check wireless data service or Wi-Fi is enabled on the device and that status indicators show an active connection. A wireless connection must be active.
Launch Kindle for Android.
Tap the Menu button, then select "Archived Items."
Select the desired title from the "Archived Items" list.
Leave your wireless connection and Kindle for Android app running until the download completes--do not leave the application.
If your wireless connection is interrupted and the download fails, attempt the steps above again when your wireless connection is re-established and active long enough to complete the download.
Confirm disk space is available
If you see the error message: "There is not enough space available on the media card," free up disk space by deleting videos, pictures, applications, and/or other files you no longer need.
Book is missing or does not appear in Archived Items list.
Possible causes:
Lost wireless connection.
Kindle for Android registered to wrong account.
Confirm wireless connection and relaunch application
Close the Kindle for Windows Phone application.
Check wireless data service or Wi-Fi is enabled on the device and that status indicators show an active connection. A wireless connection must be active.
Launch Kindle for Windows Phone and log in to the Amazon account you used to purchase the book you wish to download if prompted.
Scroll to the menu section in the panorama view and select "Sync" and wait for the sync to complete.
Scroll back to the home section in the panorama view and select “Archived Items.”
If the title still does not appear, follow the steps below to re-register.
Re-register the application
Launch Kindle for Windows Phone on your device.
Scroll to the menu section of the panorama view.
Tap settings.
(If already signed in)
Tap the “deregister this device” button.
Tap “deregister” button.
Enter the same e-mail address and password for your Amazon.com account and select "Register."

No problem, Maybe try the Feedback and Support feature which is within the app to send an e-mail.
Case opened with Amazon Kindle Support
Please keep us apprised of the situation.

Hate to cross post, but I'm having a similar issue on my android device (nook color), as well as two windows pc's. I don't think this issue is isolated to one platform.
Thanks for info. Amazon are still investigating this issue
solved the same problem
I had the same problem. I accessed my app manager and changed the kindle app location from phone to sd card. After that all my queued books downloaded. I think the problem was not enough memory on my phone, or reserved memory on the phone and kindle auto DLs to location the app is installs. (could be wrong, but solved the problem anyway) hope this helps
When I plug attach my phone to the computer (via the usb cable) moto cast launches and tries to install. It gets to the point of saying it needs an internet connection to download and install up -to-date 32 bit java runtime environment. It never sees the active internet connection I have on my phone or computer. What can I do to get rid of the moto cast install pop up, as I am never actually going to use moto cast.
What? motocast is great?!?!
But to answer your question, assuming you are using Windows, right click the action bar icon and change "When device connects >" to "Do Nothing"
Should solve your problem
I am using Windows 7, and being pretty new to making changes in the phone, where is the action bar icon you are talking about? I have checked every icon on the computer related to the the moto cast install client, and can not find the menu items you are directing me to.

When I plug mine in, I get a little black phone looking icon with a red dot down by the clock. That's what he's talking about. if you see that, right click on it and follow the steps he mentioned.
Ah, never thought to look in the system try! Thanks, from your added input I got it taken care of now.
Hi there. Been using the Z3C all week and really enjoying it, but I've found one persistent problem with one of the built-in apps and am hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction for getting a fix.
I'm unable to get the Live On YouTube camera app (v 01.00.21) to sign in to my Google account. Firing up the app, I get the page requiring me to read and accept the terms and conditions of use. Fine, accepted. I then get the popup outlining the permissions - no problem, accepted. After this message disappears, I get a few seconds of the "loading" animation and then a popup tells me "Your YouTube account does not have the necessary permissions to create a live stream. Want to change your permissions now? ||No|Yes||".
When the error first occurred it was right enough - logging into YouTube on desktop I was able to establish that I didn't have live streaming enabled but despite now having enabled it, the camera app still returns the error saying my account doesn't have the necessary permissions. If I hit "Yes" it loads a YouTube URL and now when I land on the site there's a popup saying "You are already enabled for this feature".
I've tried wiping all the Live On YouTube application data via settings, I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling, but I keep getting hit with this error.
Can anyone suggest anything else I might want to try to get this feature working? Or does anyone have a suggestion of a better place to ask the question if it doesn't belong in this forum?
I can get mine working or at least set up ok, however, upon trying to run the option I just get a 'Creating Live Event' dialogue that stays on forever.
Its rather annoying I can do a share to my social media network of choice, so people can get to the right web page to see my live event, I just can't seem to get the phone to actually start streaming, despite setting up youtube ok. Has anyone yet managed to do a youtube live broadcast from their phone, and if so, can they detail what they did please.
I had this issue too. It was because I had 2 youtube profiles on my google account, so I enabled Live permissions on both profiles, and it worked.

We have a winner!
I was using YT under my original username, not realising that this meant my G+ identity had a whole separate profile on YT. Switched over to the "real name" profile and found live streaming wasn't enabled there. Enabled it and Robert is now my father's brother.
Fixed! Thanks very much.
How about the 'Creating Live Event' dialogue that stays on forever. Do you have that or does your stream ok.

Hi techguyone, the first time I tried it I got your message for a few seconds before it came back with an error message saying "unable to create live event". When I retried I got your message again for another few seconds before it appeared to work. I'm still waiting on the processing, but both the "failed" event and the longer test are now visible in my uploads, even if I can only currently view the (very short) failed one.
It looks like it's going to work for me.
Have you tried the old clearing-out-the-app-data-via-settings trick already?
Mine worked eventually, but its still kinda clunky, interestingly enough I found the other live app (Facebook one) to work straight away, and was a lot easier. I think I'll be using Facebook over Youtube in the future for any impromptu streaming.
This worked for me...
What I did is that I clicked on the avatar in the upper left corner of the screen, and scrolled down and signed out,and the signed in again with one of my two existing youtube accounts, and accepted all the terms and everything again from the beggining....Then I pressed the record button, it took a while to create an event, but it actually started the live streaming!!!!! :
Anyone else getting a "Not connected" on their Network and Internet page when on Wi-F
I'm on a US AT&T Note 9. Themed using Swift and using additional fonts, but otherwise stock. As you can tell, I'm connected to my home network, and if I go to quick settings or click to the actual Wi-Fi page, It'll indicate I'm connected, and list my SSID as expected, but on this particular page, it claims I'm not. If I toggle it off, it lists Wi-fi "Off" as expected.
Wi-Fi works fine, but knowing this particular page shows the wrong info is going to bug me...
Did you try with the default theme / fonts to exclude current theme as the issue?
if you have adhell remove it.
