Installation:
Make sure you have a not encrypted device and OEM unlock is enabled in developer settings!!
Download the rom and move it to EXTERNAL MicroSD;
Reboot device in TWRP recovery (boot pressing and holding Volume Up + Home Button + Power Button);
Wipe data (BEFORE INSTALLING and NOT AFTER, if not you will lose some preinstalled apps): go in Wipe>Advanced wipes>Select Data confirm with a swipe;
Press Home Button and then press Install>Up a level until you are in phone root, then press extsdcard;
Select rom zip and swipe to confirm;
When flash is finished, press on Reboot system and WAIT A LOT.
DO NOT WORRY IF PHONE REBOOT 2 TIMES: it's normal after SuperSU SystemLess flashing;
first bot can take up to 10 minutes

This thread has been dead for a while but wanna say this rom still works great. Just the new security patches have messed up the vibrate. Any chance I can fix this without updating to nougat as I like Marshmallow. ALOT

Its not the Security patch. U have to install Marshmellow Bootloader and modem for Vibration to work.

Could not get this too boot maybe i need to flash an older bootloader or something as i am currently using revolution S8 rom

Well u cant Downgrade bootloader after January DRAG update.
No choice since u have already updated to latest. Try A Note 7 Port based on Marshmellow. Renovate or Hydra ROM. Vibration works in those. All S7E roms based on Marshmellow will not have vibration from now on for you!

I created this thread to simplify the nougat installation.
This guide Will help you to install what is needed, root,twrp,newest version, etc..
READ ALL BEFORE DOING ANYTHING
INSTALLATION :
(FROM MARSHMALLOW TO NOUGAT)
FIRST METHOD :
1/unroot your device
2/reboot to twrp (meticulus's twrp), (Thanks to @Meticulus)
3/Flash update zip (B370)

4.without reboot, flash the additionnal package

SECOND METHOD :
1/flash b160 version (marshmallow)
2/go to hicare app
3/search for system update
4/done
(FROM NOUGAT TO NOUGAT)
1)install stock recovery of your current version
2) install FirmwareFinder app
3)choose the latest version, and select the big file , it is ~1.5gb
4)click on 'send firmware to updater' you will have a pop-up , which it tells you to install firmware finder proxy, install it
5)go back to firmware finder and click again on send firmware to updater'
6)it will give you some instructions that you must do ,do it
7)go back again to ff app, and send the version again
8)go to setting>system update and check for update, you will see that the version will appear
9)done

1/go to /product/etc/prop/local.prop
2.search for the line ro.config.hw_easywakeup=false
3.change false to true
4/now go to /system/build.prop and add this line ro.config.hw_easywakeup=true
5/do the same step in /vendore/build.prop
6/go to /system/emui/base/xml/hw_easywakeupmotion_config
7/change the values that are surrounded to 1 ,look at the screenshot

No, i am not sure, it was a question, but i just reinstaller with only the first file, given mobile bug, i am looking in the parameters if there is not a data saver to set.
This photo is nrd90m so 1st file, I have a doubt I think there is more choice or it's the same I did not do photo with both I do not remember
more.

If you only flash first file, (update.zip) the phone boot with activate developer settings by default...
If you flash update.zip and data_full_hw....zip, the phone boot without activate developer settings by default....
In your case its first point.... and you see the last "panel activators" because of developer settings...

There is a data saving function. I think its works.

Yes Nougat firmware Required once when you leave MIUI 8 Stable Rom and move to Nougat. If you are from Nougat Rom then Simply flash it.

If this ROM is based off of MIUI beta it will show Play Store Uncertified. The official MIUI beta does also. xiaomi.eu ROM is certified, but the eu devs do it.

Yes, my bad.... But the IR Remote shows all chinese brands and there is no way to change it to any other area. Please fix that.

Please keep in mind that this is beta software. These builds are sometime NOT as stable as our official OTAs generally are. By installing this update, you accept the potential risks of data loss.
If you would like to join our Open Beta Program, please refer to the flashing instructions [HERE] and download the full ROM [HERE].
Once you migrate to the Beta path, you will continue to receive Open Beta OTAs. You will NO LONGER receive the regular Official Stable OTAs.
Reverting back to the Official OTA path from the Beta path will require a full install and clean flash (FULL WIPE of all data and cache). Please carefully follow the flash instructions below.

Download the OOS Open Beta 1 Official | Mega mirror
Plug your phone into your computer and copy the downloaded .zip to your phone’s storage. If you’re using a Mac, you can install Android File Transfer for this operation.
After the .zip file is copied to your phone, reboot your phone into recovery mode. To do this, shut down your device and turn it back on while holding the power and volume down buttons simultaneously.
Choose "Install from internal storage/Install from local", find your .zip file and click on "Install" to confirm.
Wait a while, your phone should now update to the selected build and reboot automatically to take you into OxygenOS.

Just reboots to recovery after flashing zip + magisk using chinese twrp. What to do?

Neither am i switching to Open Beta build, Face unlock does work flawlessly then why not include it!!
Plus been using 2nd closed beta since when it was leaked.It is very stable.(I locally updated it, without dataloss)No crashes or Hiccups yet.
Its XDA guys,i hope in the coming days some dev might port it Open beta too.

These days I'm try to understand Mi A1 system partitions, and it's quite difficult and new for me.
My main goal is to get MIUI working on my Mi A1 phone.
I was able to save leaked Oreo ROM to system sparse format, also I prepare an easy tool for flashing that Oreo ROM via fastboot scripts.

Instructions to install Oreo ROM under unlocked bootloader:
-Install adb drivers for Mi A1
-Unpack MiA1-Tool-Flasher-Oreo.7z tool
-Reboot your Mi A1 on fastboot mode (Hold Vol - & Power)
-Execute Rom-Flasher.bat
-Select one of 3 flashing options (option 2 for avoid conflicts, data will be erased)
-Enjoy Oreo ROM
Disclaimer: do at your own risk, it could erase your data files. Make a backup first

-No need TWRP
-No need to lost your data
-Just reboot on fastboot mode and enjoy
-You can re-lock your bootloader

May be, but you have to unpack system.img and boot.img from .7z tool.

Nope. This is repack of leaked backup. So this is one of the first builds.

unable to flash
Unable to flash. The massage is "target reported max download size of 536870912."
And I am unable to select 1 & 3 option. Only I could slect 2 no option. What may be problem?

its working i flash it with mi flash tool but it was prerooted and from rom-flasher.bat is not working

Bro @JamFlux im sharing my noob knowledge on mi a1 partiton system.
Bro our mi a1 have skip_initfs on kernel side.
Ab partiton use initfs or ramdisk from system partition intead of boot.img the boot.img ramdisk is only there for recovery only and whole root fs is changed on mia1
And selinux policy also devide into various location on system and boot.img. bro u can see chainfire and topjohn theory how they root ab partiton device they expailed every thing on thier thread "they expailed in pixel thread"
Mi 5x dev able to boot our whole system image and boot.img only changes with ramdisk.
U are the creator of epic miui.
I can wait to see miui on our mia1 now u are looking on our mia1 soo im very happy to see u here to develop for our mia1.

After installing ADB drivers still I am not able to flash Oreo. What should I do now. Same massage is there.
