[Q] Extract. apk

I wanted to know that how can we extract an apk from an installed app.?? :what:

apk = app
Did you mean you want the original 'installer' ?
- Back up the app using 'app backup restore', download it from the play store.
Did you mean you want to extract the app(apk) for editing purpose ?
- Use APK Manager or APK Edit

Free app called astro file manager
Use it to backup all installed apps
A folder called backups will be created and here you go all the apk's you want
Easy as waking up in the morning
Just kidding, much easier

[GUIDE] Install TouchWiz 4 on Galaxy Ace 5830i !!

How to install Touchwiz 4.0..
Things Required--
Rooted Phone
Latest Rafael Baugis kernel..( Works without this also- Tried on deodexed xxlf3 )
Make sure you backup all data at CMW before doing this..
Download following things.
1. Es file explorer- - http://www.mediafire.com/?m7cbxlox7sj8hap
2. Root browser lite- ( You can use any root browser. I preferred this. )- http://www.mediafire.com/?1sqmxxb1uoz7z9m
3. Touchwiz4.0 - http://www.mediafire.com/?we07y5v271e8z2l
4. S3 Touchwiz- http://www.mediafire.com/?4gfdig46o8qpsbo
4. CWM Recovery ( For backup )- http://www.mediafire.com/?5i4m5fd3gnhcfha
Steps-
1. Install es file explorer and root browser..
2. Copy touchwiz 4.0 in root of your sd card.. Don't copy it in any folder.
3. Now open es file manager go to setting scroll down to root setting mark the root explorer and mark mount file system..Now exit....
4. Now open Root browser lite,scroll down -Go to sdcard copy the touchwiz4.0,back at system/app and paste it there.
5. Now again go to system-app and find the touchwiz 4 which you just pasted there..Then long press on it and set the permissions as rw-r-r
6. Then save it.
7. Now you must delete Samsung home (touchwiz 3.0) at system/app...
8. Last reboot...
Enjoy your new touchwiz4.0...
Install at your own risk....:laugh:
I have tried this on xxla2..When i tried this on xxla2 odex one it failed to paste touchwiz there..But it worked when i deodexed my rom..So if this is not working then try to install this on deodex rom !! .. I have also tried this on deodexed xxlf3.. So feel free to use this.It works without rafael baugis kernel also..

how to install touchwiz 4.0..
first you must have
root phone
latest rafael baugis kernel..

now click the touchwiz4.0 until popup click permission..and set permission to

and save..
now you must to delete samsung home at system/app...
and last reboot...
enjoy your new touchwiz4.0...

difference between touchwiz 3 and 4

Touchwiz 4 is faster than 3.. And you will get transparent app drawer as shown in attachments..

I am using deodexed xxlf3 now..I didn't find any difference between ram usage..But the responce of touchwiz is faster than 3..:thumbup:
I will advice you to Flash adreline engine to reduce ram usage..

Cwm is required just to backup your current rom..So if anything goes wrong you need not have to flash whole firmware again...

Lalit , This is not Touchwiz 4 it's a modded Touchwiz 3. They have modded the page indicators and placed them in the bottom , the trasparent app drawer and the icon names
on the Dock . ( and just something , suayimi , he that have posted on the facebook page i mean , it's not his touchwiz 4 . He has taken it on the S5830 themes and apps section )

[TUT]mod apk without pc

hi guys today i'm here to show you the easyest way to theme your apk without using a pc.
I'm doing this because i don't have my pc now and i'm a little bit bored xD
prerequisites:
-rooted device
-root explorer
-zipsigner (free on play store)
ok LET'S GO!!
1) go to the desired apk and rename it from "apkname.apk" to "apkname.apk.zip" using root explorer (apkname is the name of your application e.g. whatsapp.apk->whatsapp.apk.zip)
2) extract zip using root explorer and you will get a folder with the extracted files inside.
3) go to the extracted folder and change the pics you want
4) be sure to rename the pics with the original name (if i want to change an apk's image called app_logo.png i will have to pick an image and copy it to the extracted folder in res/drawable folder,once here i have to paste the image and rename it into app_logo.png)
5) once you finished replacing the images go back until you see a folder called meta-inf,res,lib,assets etc etc... and press menu button,select all the items and zip all the files,rename the zip into apkname.apk
6) navigate to sdcard/speedsoftware/zip and you will see your zipped file,now rename it from apkname.apk.zip to apkname.apk
7)try to install your modded apk, if it doesn't install open zipsigner and as input file select your modded apk,as output file re-select your modded apk (rename it into signedapkname.apk if you want) then tap on the box to the bottom called "sign the file"
8) once signed install your modded apk using any file manager

i sucess . but i try to edit resource.arc and zip and rename to apk and then im install but pharsing eror in apk

You mean "resources.arsc" ...
This file contains pre-compiled resources, such as binary XML(values, layouts and dimens... etc) for example,
and to edit this file you must decompile the apk using apktool.jar via PC only (can't be dicompiled/compiled via phone environment)

nope, that way you can only replace png's, to edit rgb values (stored in colors.xml) you still have to decompile it with apktool...

Thats use less u must decompile to Edit xml (name)

Galaxy Ace has an ARMV6 processor, so you need a port for ARMV6 devices, it's the compatible version, to run it in your device

[MOTO]{GALLERY} For all android devices 4.4.4 and above

Every one kept on asking me a way to get the Moto gallery that is in play store but do not allows to download unless and until it's a Moto device.. I've found a way for all people like me who wants to have the gallery..
*Device must be rooted* If not then find out how to root !!
Steps :-
1. Download this gallery.
2. Open any root explorer (ex: es file explorer).
3. That root browser/explorer must be enabled with all write permission in / .
4. Copy this gallery and paste at /system/apps/ .
5. Copy this gallery and paste at /system/priv-apps/ .
6. Reboot your device.
Do step 4 or 5.. It's same

When i try to paste the file it system/app and priv-app using Es File Explorer, it shows insufficient storage available.
Stock ROM with Blackbox 8.5 rooted Locked BL.
