Hi,
I'm sorry to break it to you, but AFAIK it's not possible. You can use different camera apps to check some different software post editing and rendering (you could even do that without rooting), however the camera quality is mainly based in the lens and image processor of your device, both of which you can't change.

Hi,
I got myself an xperia Z1, was wondering that if I rooted my phone.. would I have the camera not working issue? and also I read that there is with custom roms.Would there be a future fix? Is this solely with Sony or would the xda devs. find a work around in getting it fixed? want to know before rooting the phone

Yes, that's for unlocking, rooting is different and does not break the camera

I would suggest to download some other camera apps in play store... it takes a while for developers to figure out how to make the stock camera work better...
when I got the xperia S, I was pretty disappointed with the camera as well... then I installed a few playstore apps, 1. camera zoom fx - probably the best all around camera. 2. HDR Camera - best HDR camera app imo... really made taking pictures with Xperia S a wonderful experience

Can anyone helps me in sorting out to work x-reality engine on boot loader unlocked ,i am currently in .757 built version and doomKernel v16 installed ....
They fixed that amongst other things to work with unlocked bootloader since 4.4 I belive.

with x-reality on and off i am getting same effect ,i am not seeing any difference in that

Me too, I was on Locked Bootloader and never saw a bit of difference in image quality. Also is not the X-Reality only reported missing but even Bionz Processing, so if you are really concerned about this you can try this kind of fix...

I didn't said it was not working on Locked Bootloader, I just said I did not saw any difference so I was never bothered to check after Unlock Bootlader if the X-Reality still working. It's a tweek for improve the image quality but only on phone, if you put your picture on PC there will be no more X-Reality so to me this kind of tweeks are useless. My only concern is Bionz Processing as this really can compromise the quality of your pictures.
You are on Unlocked Bootloader so if you want check, see the link I posted or type on XDA Fix X-Reality, maybe I missing something.

Placebos i would say. An image processing chip like Bionz for mobile is much needed in order to convert the cameras raw data and make it for instance a jpeg. This is how it works in all cameras. If that wouldn't be there then the camera wouldn't work at all. That was the case before 4.3 right?
I spoke to a Sony technician saying that "unlocking a bootloader won't change the phone, but custom software will and that might brick your phone" he admitted that they've had problems before 4.3 but that has been solved now. And I had to pull that out of him kinda. I asked alot of questions that people kinda just speculate about because I want hard facts. He wasn't that keen on saying much more but I gave him my email address anyway.
Interprete this how you want, I don't wanna be held responsible for anyone might bricking their phones. Just forwarded what's told to me.

Our mobile has a 5mp camera but when taking a photo, it takes AGES and the photo wont be clear ''even an old nokia 1100 has a better camera -.-' ...... No not really xD'' anyway is there any thing to do to improve it? A module a new rom anything? Thnx in advance

there are a few solutions that can be found in the mod/themes section
do a search to speed up the process of finding what you need
You can try build.prop tweaks, that may can help you.

As the title suggests is there any way of getting manual control of ISO working on third party camera ? apps?
I'm on MrSteve555 cm11 m12 build and the default camera app that came with rom has the option to change ISO but when changing it in other apps nothing seems to happen .
So if anyone have a solution please post here.

http://opencamera.sourceforge.net/ OpenCamera works perfectly on CM11 m12 regards changing ISO. As does Camera FV-5 if you don't mind paying.
Try with Lenovo Camera.
Try camera fx zoom!
You can try it with the free version. I always use it (payversion). Best camera app, I ever have had on android!

Is there any way to use a manual focus mode? I'm ok with the stock camera but the auto-focus doesn't work well for me for short distance.
