install back gapps in motorola / verizon Original (stock) version - Motorola Droid 4

Hello .... I have a Motorola Milestone 4 (Verizon Droid 4 XT894) .... running the original version 4.1.2 of Android by Motorola / Verizon ....
The device works perfectly...
My son used it three weeks... and decided to remove "unnecessarily applications"...
apparently use Titanium backup for it...
the problem is that also uninstall some google apps...
the play store (market) app among them...
i restore factory default from recovery menu... but nothing... the google apps are gone..
it's possible to install these Gapps packages? >> androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=5649 << in a original android version?
or are only for the custom versions of android like the ones form CyanogenMod??

Thanks for your reply sd_shadow...
if you mean the recovery menu (power button + volume min button) .. i try that .. dont work...
if you mean replace or overwrite the entire stock ROM...
I'm not so sure about that...
this ROM was modified to work with the cell providers of my country...
all the Verizon modifications and restrictions were removed from this stock ROM...
replace it with the Verizon original...
I think... It will bring me more problems than solutions....
I found this in the forum... >> forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2547054 <<
and works ok!!! ... the first time... :good:
play store open fine... looks OK... but no download or install the apps...
and after reboot the device... i get once and again "play store as stoped"... "google services as stoped"... "google frameworks as stoped"...
I believe That's is because the files that "Android Cowboy" put in that thread are for another version of Android... not for the jelly bean 4.1.2...

I think... this one >> gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip << is for my Jelly Bean 4.1.2...
rigth?
but this is a ZIP... not an APK....
I found some instructions to install them from the recovery menu...
with the option "apply update from external storage"....
but after the "verifying update package".....
i get "installation aborted"....
this ZIP it installs from there ? or in other way?
the files that "Android Cowboy" put in in its thread were APK...
They installed themselves... except "vending.apk" which had to put it directly int /system/app....

accidentally uninstalled the market

Hi guys,
I have a rooted nook color, and I accidentally uninstalled the android market using Titanium. I was trying to install Adobe Flash, but I was getting a message that Flash is not compatible with my device, so I read in a forum to uninstall the market and downgrade the market app to the previous version.
Well, after uninstalling it, and downloading the apk for the older market version, it force closes when I go to open it. Does anyone have a link to a market apk that will work?
Sorry, I'm new to this

How exactly do I reflash the google apps?
check around for the google apps zip file. there are a few floating around. i will see if I can find one and post a link. but, once u have the zip file, put it on your sd card and boot to recovery, then install the zip file via recovery.

Download links here.
Hi, I'm new here, so please have mercy. This exact same thing happened to me. I went to the site below and since I flashed MN 4-5-18 and 4-6-16, I though I should download, at the site linked to above, the CyanogenMod 4 google apps. Is this correct?

I think you'll always want the CyanogenMod 7 gapps. I believe the CM version #s correspond to the Android version... Honeycomb is CM8, ICS will be CM9, etc.

[Q] Deluxe Settings apk

Hello the deluxe settings apk is out. I have a JKay Deluxe mod on my mobile and is working fine. I want to ask you if the apk will work to my mobile and allow me to add more mods etc.
Answered in JKays thread but here for you also;
The framework by itself is working, but you need to use a different updater script - otherwise it won't install.
Look in the I9305 dev section @ Ripper Rom.
The .apk is NOT working. A few people (including myself) are looking at it to try and see why...

Okay thank you..
Any news about the apk?? Did you manage to make it work?
I saw jkay has said he has made the deluxe settings 14.3 visible for the i9305 now. So just have to wait for it to be verified by google then we can try it out.
Sent from my GT-I9305 using XDA Premium HD app
^^It has been verified by Google but (when I checked) it does not appear on the Play Store app "in-device".
Find it on the full website (via a PC/Mac or try the Internet Browser) and 'push' the app to your phone.
There is a new framework (14.3) that you need as well, but I can confirm it currently works on I9305.
NB may not work on all ROMs. Can confirm working on Ripper ROM V5.
appears in the Play Store fine for me.

At the time of writing, it had not been appearing in-device, even after installing
It appears that this has now been updated.

[Q] Help with modding my google play

Please help..
I got rooted HTC one, rooted without flashing any ROM. I'm running Sense 5 Android 4.1.2 with TWRP Recovery.
1. I've installed the installer version of google play v4.1.10 from the link on page 1
2. Then i tap the Install and Reboot button
3. My phone rebooted, but the Google Play reverted back into the old version without any mod (modded google play got smile face on the icon)
So what did i do wrong? Why the google play cannot be modded? Can anyone help me?
bump
Same problem here :good:
It's a system app. You need to remove the system protection from the kernel. There's a thread in dev section explaining how.

Ligux and Google market "This item is not compatible"

I am currently using LiGUX + N.O.P.E. Kernel V2.6.
I found one problem and maybe someone can help me.
I cannot install an application from Google market.
There is a cross mark and message "This item is not compatible with your device".
But earlier when I used CyanogenMod10 BUILD #3 + N.O.P.E. Kernel V2.6. or at begin with stock ROM I have nothing problem use this application.
If I am using Market helper to hide my device, then I can install this application, but cannot run. In this case is error something like "missing library".
Any suggestion or idea what to do?

Open up settings, click on applications and select play store...
Scroll down until you find clear data and cache...clear them...
They will remove all the settings, account logged in the play store. Hence you can open it fresh.
Check if it works...

You Can try Warriors Method but here is a explanation!
The Gplay Store Reads the build prop file so if there is modifications to it that the app doesn't support Google play will say NO!
I would try editing the build.prop file

Thanks for the remind, I checked the config. But there is everything configured same way as in previous ROM.
I have to roll back, because this application is mandatory for me.
By the way in this ROM working new Goolge launcher smoothly

This is caused by missing dependencies. Check the thread for Codename Lungo, I explain the steps to get it fixed. It'll be useful if you can tell which app is giving you trouble.

I see, it uses location-aware dependencies. First make sure you have Google Maps and Google Search installed. Then try deleting the cache of Play Store, reboot and try again. If it's still not working then try the steps in the Codename Lungo thread.

Yes. That should fix it. I need to edit that post because it's missing a few steps:
A) You need to have Google Maps and Google Search installed.
B) After you extract the file to the Permissions folder, assign same r/w permissions.
3) After you complete the steps, clear Play Store cache and then reboot.
Let me know if you need more help.

Not all HTC apps can be installed on non HTC device because some framework staff will be missing.
HTC blinkfeed shoud work (isnt it already on playstore ?) . I"m not sure about the rest.
Why not refer this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/htc-blinkfeed-plugins-devices-08-03-2015-t3049438
Check this out :-http://www.fulmics.com/htc-sense/
I try some of this apps but Sense it doesn´t fit on the screen in my XT1563 DS. and can´t connect to htc services.
