Is this a continuation from the other one that was recently closed? I'm still running on that version with very few bugs and I still have the flash file for it. It's on 5.6.7. Would it be safe for me to dirty flash this one as an update? I wouldn't think there are differences other than an update

I have tried octopus rom and in my personal opinion I like resurrection remix a lot more. It has so many more options and runs smoothly with little bugs.

Is not a continuation of the another thread, I've build myself because I really liked the RR in victara. Dirty flash can do some unpredictable variables, but here I didn't notice any issues with it.
I've dirty flashed from other 5.6.7-20160409 build to this one, but I don't know if it can work always, so, if you want to try, here some tips:
- Complete Backup( including the /system)
- wipe cache/Dalwik
- Flash the ROM .Zip
- Flash the same GAPPS .Zip file.
Can sby can make Antutu Benchmark and/or Geekbench test ?
cant download.........reason-site is taking too long to load......

After a flash with twrp 3, a factory reset, gaaps, wipe cache/dalvik, I am having an issue with random reboots. Anyone else having this issue?
I've just flashed for 3 hours. So far so good. Not any reboot.

I have isolated it .. if I try and call or receive a call, the phone reboots.
I am going to wipe the phone and try again.
edit: ** looks like it might have been an issue with the ex-pro dialer I was using. I didn't load it this time around, use the stock dialer and calls are working fine **

because i don't like the new one and feeling better with this. In any case, i prefer stable release instead than nightly.

Thanks I'm used to Myn's Warm and Uber Z lol
Will I have to update to CWM3 for this? Will a backup made of a ROM from before CWM3 came out (backup made in CWM3) restore using CWM3?
Installed and running successfully.
To others: the part about formating data, cache, system first is REALLY important. I tried installing without doing that and ended up in a boot loop. Once I cleaned everything thing out, including wiping both caches, it installed cleanly and without a problem.

CW2 should still work. The issue with CW3 is that some older update.zip files will not work because they are not using the edify script structure.

What ROM were you coming from? I just flashed RC1 over nightly #38, wiping only cache partition and dalvik cache, and have had zero issues so far.
Coming from any other ROM though, it is definitely standard to wipe *everything*.

Normally, when upgrading a rom, I only wipe cache and dalvik-cache. If I get a bootloop, I know I need to wipe more.
This is only true if you are upgrading roms (like CM7 nightlies, for example). If switching between different developers, or if a developer insists, then a full wipe is necessary.
So what's the attraction with this rom? I flashed it and it's extremely slow/sluggish in terms of performance/responsiveness/frame rate compared to pretty much everything else I've tried.

1- the Kernel I flashed had been replaced
2= rom is more laggy than i expected
3- I t kept wanting to update the Gapps even after i did it
4 When i use the converter with LTE and i go look in acces point network it is always been in there automatically on this rom it was not
I am going back to Mokee it runs so much smoother but will retry this one when some of the bugs are fixed. One thing comes to mind when i did all the wipind and before i started flashing i did not do a factory reset if this may be the problem will someone please let me know

Mokee it is not really good.
I have to stick with it for a while. It really is not stable even though I use the release version.

I have tried but still not working heads up.
I can use: Kernel
arrrghhh_Aug2-2014-anyker.zip for aosb_kk_1.3.7_moto_msm8960_jbbl.zip?

Hi guys,
I successfully built CM12 off the official cyanogenmod source. All of dhackers builds in the past have thrown status 1 errors on our phone, so this is the closest thing to official cyanogenmod lollipop we have at the moment.
All credit goes to dhacker29 and the rest of the razrqcom / cyanogen dev team. All I did was set up a build environment and built straight from the source. I used no hacks, tweaks or mods to get this to build.
I'll try to build new builds occasionally, but I'm pretty busy so can't commit to making regular nightlies or anything.
Code:
[B]Instructions:[/B]
Download the latest zip (cm-12-*-UNOFFICIAL-mb886.zip) to your phone.
Boot to recovery.
Remember to make a Nandroid backup!
Format /system. (Some recoveries have this as "Wipe Data/Factory Reset > Clean to Install a New ROM") (You can try doing a "dirty flash" without formatting system but I don't recommend it)
Install the ROM (install zip from...).
Install gapps (install zip from...).
Wipe data/cache
Reboot.
First boot can take some time due to ART in lollipop.
DOWNLOAD from DevDB

Please don't use SuperSU, it does not help the CM12 debugging at all (and it's been already reported as a cause of battery drain). The CM built-in su can be easily enabled under Developer options>Root access, it works just fine.

thanks for the rom.. will try it out and post feedback
Any known bugs?
Dirty updated from Miiju CM12 and seems to work fine. The ROM is smooth and solid. Reboot time is noticable longer than on Mijuu's build, maybe connected with the new bootscreen. Haven't noticed any bugs yet. Thanks for the great job.
PS. The new CM bootscreen is ugly  - imho of course. However, previous wasn't the masterpiece too .
Does this have the new theme engine? Good job bro you should maintain cm12 and let dhacker know.
Really laggy and random reboots
I made a clean flash of this build. It was smooth for first 30 to 40 seconds after that **** laggy and rebooted twice in 20 minutes.. i also experiences screen tearing. bugs are same as that of other builds though.
Great! I will try it tonight and report back. Thanks!

Theme engine implemented and works!
As far as being device maintainer, I'm definitely open to it but I'm not sure if I'm qualified enough to do it. If there were functional problems and things that break I don't really think I have the knowledge to fix those... All I really did here was follow some build guides and build this. But if you think that's all I need, I'll definitely consider it.

Nice job with the build, Im going to flash this thing tonight and report whats happening with this rom
Thank you for doing this for us.
Edit: Clean flashed rom without gapps: smooth as it should be, seems noticeably faster than LS
Now with Banks gapps: Still as fast with no random reboots yet. Looking great so far. I wonder if the bugs are gapps related for some of you people then.
Antutu benchmark for mb886: 19544, thats as fast as mijuus cm12, great job man.
Bugs: Chromecast cannot mirror, its the same OMX-720p error from log cat, its now a bug with dhackers builds. Mijuus doesnt have that at all, probably a hack . Im maybe wrong it could go away on its own. But its something to do with that which is causing the AvSource to fail with this error: w/err = -38
Overall this rom is as stable as it can be, there isn't any other bug I could find but that one, I did try mirror enabler for the previous one, it didn't affect anything. Speedy fast and simplistic, great job on this first build. Keeping that one as a daily driver until then.
Good job!
Thank you! :good:

Try it with Banks, it makes your rom the way it is. I haven't even ran into a crash, I pushed this device pretty hard and its still not rebooting, came close though.
As for the future builds of this rom, maybe the problem will go away as time goes on, idk but I think I found a way around it.
Wow a cm recovery, but im happy for my philz but sooner or later this recovery will be needed to flash newer roms. Blisspop from droidrazr requires this recovery for some odd reason.
Plus its late for me anyway.
Great job on this rom and the recovery Thank you.:good:

I don't own a vibrant, so i can't test the rom myself, if you have any issue post it here but i might not be able to fix it.

Thanks for the awesome work and building omni rom for vibrant. The rom itself is fast and smooth while having no bugs. The one thing which makes this rom different from the omni rom is the new kernel coldwindofnowhere added which contain many new features such as governors like smartass v2, battery life extender, fast charge, big memory support and toggle in advanced menu. Also this was possibly compiled with the newest source code. This rom is very well worth a try because its a master piece and your kernel is like icing on the cake. Thanks for your support an keep up the good work:good::good:
I'm trying to come from Slimkat but I get a status 7 installation aborted error message when trying to flash. Any advice?

Try both TWRP or CWM because i had no problem. However, i was already in android lollipop while flashing this rom so just try flashing a lollipop rom which works on your device such as code rom to get to the latest TWRP then try

If you get status 7 error, dont worry flash again if its still there navigate to reboot to recovery and flash rom.zip again. Done
Thanks for the advice guys. Rebooting recovery and flashing again still didn't work. I used cm11 kernel to go back to a slightly older version of CWM and it worked but after i booted up I was getting reboots constantly. It took me several tries just to get through the setup wizard. The reboot problem started getting better over time but it was still going on so I clocked the kernel back down to 1000Mhz and haven't had any more reboots yet but the phone has a little lag now. It was super smooth at 1400Mhz. It's still an awesome rom. This is my first time trying a Lollipop rom and so far it is my favorite rom of all time for this device. Thanks for the build OP.
The only real issue I'm having right now is I can't download anything. The wifi and network data work fine but when I try to download an app from the play store it starts but then I get an error message (can't download app error code:491). I thought I would try another gapps from the browser but when I try to download the zip it starts to download but stays at zero percent.
Any advice for me on the downloads problem? Or how I can overclock without getting the reboots?

You can try this gapps https://mega.nz/#F!G0QXXRAC!pZ063qCaa5lxdD73SarU6Q
I don't think Gapps is the problem for me. I wiped and reflashed the rom this time with no gapps and the downloads from the browser still don't work. I tried to download things from several different sources and everything stays at zero percent.
Another thing I am trying to get working is swype on the keyboard. Is that something that does not work on vibrant lollipop roms or is it working for everyone else.

No it's a bug present on all LP roms i know, you can still you an alternative keyboard to get around this issue
Ok, thanks. I got the google keyboard off play store. It's the same keyboard and it functions just fine. I fixed the download problem by flashing a different omni lollipop rom, testing to make sure download was working then doing a dirty flash back to this rom. Works great and I think I found a new daily driver. Thanks Coldwindofnowhere.
Edit: One other thing I forgot to mention, I can't get TWRP to flash anything. It always fails. For some reason I can only get it to flash a kernel so I have to flash my CM11 kernel and reboot recovery to get into CWM then reflash the rom and gapps. This problem was present when I flashed the other version of Omni Lollipop also. Not a huge problem for me. I will just keep my CM11 kernel in the downloads folder and use that any time I need to flash something.

Um i don't have this issue on my Galaxy , maybe it's Vibrant related ... honestly i don't know. Can you give a screenshot or just tell me what error it shows when you flash something ?
New build coming soon, it will be up in a few hours. It includes the latest omni source, my latest kernel (@rosco77 i'm pretty sure your TWRP issue will be gone) and a new toolchain. I will update the link in the OP.
Links in the OP updated !

Thanks man for supporting vibrant, and take your time building the rom
@Coldwindofnowhere Can you also build your kernel 5.1.1 for vibrant. I and people here are very appreciate of that

Well you can just extract the boot.img from the rom and flash it ...
I've been using CM12 Sabermod for a few months now but lately my phone has started to lag a lot, I've experience the same problems with other Lollipop based ROMs too. I never had this problem in 4.3 but I had to move to 5.1 since some apps that I use daily required KitKat or higher.
So my question is - is there any good KitKat ROM for XSP? If yes, how can I get the best performance for multitasking?
Before change to KK, I should ask: Do you already flash the most recent build?
Another is: Have yout try move apps to SD card?
Another one: Try to clean Cache on the Settings -> Storage (and then Reboot)?
And Clean cache of some apps too manually.
Remembering that to flash a the most recent build, you doesnt need to Backup, BUT... Just for convenience do it.
If none of those above options function well for you, indeed there is a stable and fast KK to our lovely (and hated) SP.
Options I recommend: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64991746&postcount=1320
Or
Last release from CM Team
http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=huashan&type=snapshot
Both are great in performance and multitask like the JB 4.3 Stock.
Is there a good one which has Stock features? As in it has the basic Sony apps. They were quite nifty.

I dont think so :/
I can recommend snapshot KK too which im using right now http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=huashan&type=snapshot with kernel from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2764939
Another good one was http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...anogenmod-11-locked-bootloader-users-t2868398 before I unlocked bootloader.
I havent tried CM13 but cm12.1 never worked out for me properly, either low amount of ram/no deep sleep or other problems such as wifi.
Ok I'll try them out. But I'm looking for something based on the Xperia stock OS.

What apps from the stock Xperia ROM do you want to find in another ROM?
I'm using the KK based MIUI 7 port, and it's been good so far. Check the thread.

Just get Xposed Installer from here : http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer , install it and open the app -go to Framework-select Install/Update - reboot the phone. Done :good:
Tried using CM11 snapshot and William's kernel as adviced by one of the members above. Currently phone hangs and the screen bleeds and then reboots. Really sad. Any advice?
hey guys i`ve just flashed latest CM11 snap shot rom. but its too laggy specialy on instagram and cause Force close ,
what can i do for it ? . what is the best kernel for this rom ??
Hi, try OmniX ROM - fast, a lot of free memory and no lags at all (I used that with stock kernel):

Hi, a clean wipe should be enough. I did factory reset / wipe data, format system, cache and data, wipe dalvik, then install in that order:
OmniX-Rom, recommended gapps, SU-update. Please confirm to fix super user when asked, then reboot into system. First boot will take some minutes (less than 5).
Which recovery do you recommend I flash for this?

I think I know what ROM you need: search for z3experiencesp (the kitkat version).

I would try that rom if the led bar was working exactly as it does in the stock firmwares (you know, receiving phone calls, viewing images, making a call etc.). There isn't a way to duplicate that functionality level since it's cyanogenmod-based, right?
