Stuck on MM? - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am on a current version of CMRemix DOK2 and looking to return to stock. Am I stuck until we have a Tmo MM release?
I have had no luck in Odin with any base.
Thanks!

Can't Odin DOK2 (5.1.1)? If not, I don't think a release of MM will help you.

You should be able to Odin a stock tar img of dok2 I have gone back and forth plenty of times.

Just got my s6 now to root it!

Okay so about 3 hours ago I got my galaxy s6 and no I wish to root it although I'm out of the loop on what's going can someone clarify for me?. I keep seeing that root isn't supported on 5.1.1 luckily for me I'm still on 5.0.2, I tried ping pong root but that didn't work so now I'm thinking of using cf autoroot. I keep seeing people saying that after root they can't hear when making a call or that data is not working I'm just wondering what's going on? I just want to get updated

The people having the issues with call volume and fingerprint scanner are using the eng sboot for 5.1.1
Cf-autoroot or pingpong for 5.0.2 will both give you root with no issues

It was a leaked engineering bootloader. Yeah, if you're gonna do a custom rom, I would flash something that matches your bootloader. (5.0.2 rom for a 5.0.2 bootloader, etc)

ROOT is supported on 5.1.1 when you flash the custom kernel called UniKernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...d-development/kernel-stockmod-kernel-t3100395 and TWRP is also available for people running 5.1.1 only version 2.8.7.1 though but still don't update because most ROMS are based on 5.1.1 and you cant flash a ROM that is based on 5.0.2 right now.

Hmm so I can't flash 5.0.2 roms right now? That's weird because last night I flashed twrp via Odin and then flashed the super su zip then flashed looper rom and that's 5.0.2 and it's been pretty great so far

Yes but do you have the 5.1.1 bootloader? If so you can only flash 5.1.1 ROMS.
Why doesn't it work on of6?

N910G update but not 5.1.1

Got update of 140 MB not sure what it is.

Sorry for the ignorance, but what changes are there for the keyboard? Have updated yesterday, and couldn't really tell the difference unless i'm getting blind

Placebo probably
Just updated.. No perceptible change in lag till now. Battery Drain similar to 5.0.1.. But it's only been 3 hours will update later if there is any change. This seems like stage fright update.. Like the one in S5. That too was around 100 megs
i gave up waiting for the 5.1.1 and installed custom rom, havnt looked back, its been great

Okay okay. Thank you. Only if the touchwiz was without lag we wouldn't need to worry about all this

I tried flashing the stock N910F 5.1.1 rom onto my N910G via Odin and it fails at (AUTH). It doesn't brick the phone as I simply pulled out the battery, powered on my phone and started up as normal.
I don't see what the difference is, because when I extract the N910F Rom, the contents and file sizes are exactly the same as the N910G Rom.
I guess we'll just have to wait for an official N910G or for those who don't want to wait can install TWRP and get custom Rom.
Getting 5.1.1 now
Just did a manual check for update and 5.1.1. Us available for download OTA. Gonna install now and see how it goes.
Update: Installed the update, went smoothly. Phone it definitely faster and smoother. Barely any lag now. Some games have taken a quality hit but I think its a bug they said they'll fix.
N910G 5.1.1 Australian update available
Confirming I received a notification last night (06/10) on my phone, unlocked Australian N910G, 5.1.1 update N910GDTU1COH4, a few variants of the 5.1.1 N910G firmware (telstra/optus/voda/unbranded) are available on Sammobile as well if you're not getting OTA updates.
When i downgrade my galaxy note 4 n910g lolipop to kitkat than cant show 4g lte option in mobile network.

Whats the latest Note 4 baseband and radio?

I've noticed when I don't have the latest it kills my battery anyone know where I can download latest and what latest is? Searching for 1 month now.
Bump

It's all in the Odin file. Just make sure you've used Odin to put the same version of stock as the ROM you want to flash.

Is your ROM the same version of Android as was on it before you flashed? I'm just saying you have to Odin the same Android version (say 5.0.2) as the ROM you want to use. Then after you Odin the base you re-root, Odin TWRP then flash your ROM.

What did you have before that? Did you take the Tmo update to 5.1.1 or is that the room you flashed?

What's "the base" in "Odin the base"?
I was on Android 5.1.1, and I just TWRPd LineageOS 14.1, which implies that my Android version also went up a couple of points. But now my SIM card isn't detected, and I guess it's due to the baseband firmware needing an update, no? So, should I have "Odined the base"? If so, which "base", and could I have TWRPd it instead? Thanks!

Marshmallow rom for sm-n910t3

I've been looking under roms for the tmobile note 4 but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Does anone have a link to the original marshmallow rom that works with the sm-n910t3 model not just the 910t one?
Im wondering if anyone that has the same model phone has found a good rom that uses all the Samsung stuff. Thanks.
It has not yet been released.

Does this version have wifi calling? Only reason I've stuck with tmobile is that feature. I'm on 5.1.1 with the note 4 rooted using the dok2 and the wifi call is enabled.
