Hey guys, just ordered a Note 2, so stoked.
I am looking for a case that doesn't add a lot of bulk but still has all sides covered (why do they remove top/bottom or corners??), and has enough lip on the front to protect the screen. I was pretty interested in the Bodyglove case, but it can't be bought in Europe, where I live.
Any suggestions?
Diztronic tpu case. Love mine.

Body glove case is nice. Buuuuut, the lip prevents edge interaction the way the lips stands up. Using quick controls on aosp browser can be frustrating because of this. See the diztronics on Samsung protective cover + to see how it should be. I have both. As much as I like diztronic cases the OEM SAMSUNG case is very nice. Both though aren't up to my specifications for edge protection. The clear or smoked tpu's are usually much fire and in some cases a bit thicker. I am awaiting DBA cases to come out with their ultra case which seems to be perfect. You get a tpu line, x shaped plastic shell to protect corners and if the pictures do it Justice, you don't get otter box bulk. Either way, I would highly recommend any of the cases I just mentioned over the body glove. The diztronics is the cheapest and least flashy of all of them and you support an independent business owner at the same time.
I wish clay from diztronic would still sell screen protectors though. Too many people claiming warranty on them even though he was barely selling above cost and was losing money on them. Good example of what happens when you let your first world problems and penny pinching ways get in the way of good business and good product. Lose out on a high quality product he sold on the side to make people happy but his bank account couldn't afford it.

Thank you for the replies. I think I'll go for the Diztronic, as I like the matte better than the glossy Samsung protective cover.
Other suggestions are still welcome.

Hi guys,
since I got my Nexus 7 WiFi almost a month ago and still don't have a proper case, I finally decided to buy one, but I'm not sure yet which one to get, as there's quite a few different ones out there.
What I'm looking for:
- reliable sleep/wakeup functionality when opening/closing the case
- useable as a stand when in landscape mode
- should not cover up any connectors/plugs of the N7 WiFi
- material plastic or faux leather
- dark color, preferably black
- not too expensive
- should provide good protection from scratches, smaller falls etc.
Would really appreciate your advice on this one, especially if you made some good/bad experiences with (multiple) different cases.
A bonus would be if the case also was available in a european-based online shop, as I live in Germany, but its not a necessity.
Thanks in advance, looking forward to your suggestions
Tech21 make nice leather folio cases with d30 material inside, should be good for a fall;
http://shop.tech21.uk.com/store/Pro...02W_Google-Nexus-7-Leather-Case--Impact-Folio
No sleep function but it has a pocket on the lid where you could stick a magnet inside to create the sleep function, I've stickytaped one in and it works great.
Thanks for the suggestion, but that one is a bit out of my price range.
I also don't need neither real leather nor a super hi-tech drop/fall protection.
I'm looking for something for about 20-30 Euros, if possible.
Roocase
I have a roocase that is basically exactly what you described. But it's over $30 from what I found

Thanks, I looked it up on Amazon, but there seem to be lots of different versions of the roocase for the Nexus 7, many of them in my price range.
Which case do you have exactly, could you maybe hook me up with a link?
Like you I bought my Nexus7 around a month ago and spent a lot of time thinking about which case to get.
In the end I went with this one from Amazon and it really is as good as it looks in the pics.
Plus it's amazing value.

I'm not exactly sure, I received it as a gift and threw the packaging away long ago.
although there are various other threads on this same topic. I suggest the poetic slimline, it's what i use and seems to have all the qualities your looking for.
i bought the poetic that everyone here raves about. it looks very nice, but the problem i gave with it is the stand. after a couple of weeks it is very weak. i also bought and highly recommend the Moko Slim Case. looks great, fits perfect and the stand is much sturdier and has two viewing angles. it also has a loop on it to hold your stylus and a strap for your hand to slide into very comfortably. theres even an elastic strap that fits over the corners to keep case secured open when in use in your hand so the the cover doesnt flap around. highly recommend this product. youtube review of it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8eTdyBgbnI
and you can get it on amazon for $15.99 http://www.amazon.com/MoKo-Slim-fit-Google-Android-Tablet/dp/B008FLYROG
I have the poetic slim in black and got it for 12 shipped on amazon. Like said above it's stand gets weak after awhile and isn't ideal for that. The reason I got it was to protect the screen and to not be bulky. It does that job really well.
I'm thinking of grabbing this case. How bulky is it? Can someone post up any pics so i can see how it looks on the G2? Thanks in advance

Not much bulk at all compared to a few of the others I've tried. I was using the Ballistic case and switched to the Incipio Dual Pro. This feels much better in the had and is easier to get in and out of my pocket. At work right now so can't post any pics I'll try to post a couple when I get home.
I have the feather and dual pro case. I am impressed by the Incipio products. I've always been an otterbox fan, but I'm really impressed by the dual pro, feels great in your hand and not too bulky, just wish it had port covers.
I attached my pics. Love it. Best case imo.
Thanks guys. It looks really good & I'm seriously considering going with the white one. I just got my bodyguardz skin and am debating if i should return it for this case now. Decisions decisions lol
I like my cases being not slick or slippery. What is the texture like?

It feels like matte heaven! Not slick at all. I don't think it could feel any better.

Someone in the big thread got the white one. It stains easily. He contacted customer support and they basically shrugged him off. Told him he might be able to send it in for warranty.

It was hard to find and you will not like the price! - at least I didn't, I'm a cheap SOB.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Incipio-LGE...or-Lgcase-G2-Verizon-lge215blk-/331047118761?
Shipping is free though and it did come pretty fast.
It's cheaper at shop BLT, item BTE5749.
Case thickness question
I like to holster my phones. I have the Verizon OEM holster but don't like the case. The feather around the G2 fits snugly into the holster but is too bare for me and I can't locate the Dual Pro in a retail store. Does anybody know if this is substantially thicker than the feather.

I have it and love it. I consider it the middle-ground between bulky and thin. Its not too bad. Its slick and feels nice in the hand. And offers great protection for the amount of bulk it does add.

Agreed. I could potentially see it slipping out of sweaty hands though. It's a tad slick but overall I love the case
Just got myself the Incipio Dual Pro (Verizon) after going commando for the first 4 days of my life with the G2. It just felt so delicate without a case, so I felt like I had to try something, even though I'm generally a no-case kind of guy.
Looks and feels really great, and really makes the phone feel a little more substantial and safe in the hand when you're picking it up and setting it down. I like that the outside of the shell has a little bit of slickness, but a little bit of grippiness too. It goes in and out of my pants pockets fairly easily, although the silicone top and bottom do provide a bit of resistance. I absolutely LOVE the way it covers the buttons on my Verizon version, and makes them feel so much better to find and touch.
As far as bulkiness, it makes the G2 a little thicker than I'd hoped, but that's the price I'll have to pay for having a better tactile feel in the hand, and a bit of security, especially from random bumps and bruises. Will it survive a fall? I'd say may I increased my chances of surviving a fall by 50%, but still don't have high hopes if I drop it on concrete or anything. There's just a lot of screen on the G2 to potentially not shatter it to death in the event of a fall.
I ordered it on Staples online for $22 shipped. Arrived in less than 2 days with their standing shipping method. I'm still considering picking up the Incipio Feather to see if it feels better to me, but I'm gonna ride with the Dual Pro for a while first.
I just switched from a ballistic to the dualpro and I'm loving it.
One question though, what screen protector are you guys using with it? Right now I'm using one of the cheap vzw ones but would love to find a tempered glass that fits with the case.
Thanks

I am looking into a Dualpro and would like to know if it fits well with the iLoome Screenmate. D800 if it matters...
Anyone use a wireless charger with it on? I have the feather and I am thinking of getting this next. The Droid branded wireless charger works just fine with feather left on.
I really like the feather, its the perfect minimal case, I have had it since day one. Recently I've dropped it three times, each time it saved it! Very impressed, but I'm worried I will run out of luck, so I am considering upgrading.
Hi,
Please give me some advices....Which one better? Body Glove Diamond Brushed VS SGP Slim Armour VS SGP Neo Hybrid
Anyone using can give me some feedbacks...
Thanks!
The SGP Slim Armour, due to the way it is designed, can easily crack where the thin plastic along the buttons are, so I wouldn't recommend it. I'd personally prefer the SGP Neo Hybrid over the Body Glove because it looks and feels slimmer. The Body Glove should provide more protection though, so the choice depends on whether you'd want looks or function. The Neo Hybrid should still provide a bit of protection.
Official case. No doubt. I've been using them for over a year and no problems, all pros.
I just recently got the note 2, traded a iphone 5 for it after that crap ios7 came out. One thing I noticed is cases for this phone are far and few between. I have found one I love though, it is the uag case. Very slim and fits very well with great protection.

I also use UAG, saved my brand new note II recently from rendezvous with concrete, UAG didn't even get a scratch.
One con is that back orange plate is on the loose sometimes. Great design, not so massive, but very good protection and it is cheap compared to others. I've got lcd foil for free, every hole is drilled like it should be.
Have you looked at the otterbox OP?

Better in terms of what? Value, quality, protection, appearance, feel and size?
Please state what it is that you're looking for specifically in a case.
Myself, am using the UAG Scout and Navigator, and both are fantastic due to its great drop protection and cool looks.
Hey , everyone .
The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is coming . aren't you excited about it
As usual , there will be tons of cases for it , so please put everything you will recommend here to help members to choose .
As usual , Uag and life proof are my second choice
Specks , If you like the minimalist design but alway One-piece rugged combine
For online staff , Spige , Tudia and Tech 21 or Artech 21 from amazon , they are good though
Just got an email from case mate today.

I'm not sure how many of you know me from other areas of the forum, but I'm a 'casaholic' as one might say. I currently own 20+ cases for my Nexus 6P since its my daily driver, so I will chime in with my recommendations below as well as some reviews when my cases start to arrive.
1. Hands down best case: Speck Candyshell. I love this case for my 6P because it not only has great grip, but it will handle drops like a champ
2. Incipio Dual Pro: This is my current 6P case that I fell in love with. I've owned many of their cases (I have one on my Surface Pro 4 too), and haven't been disappointing. The last time I had one for a Samsung phone was with my wife's S5 before the one for my 6P.
3. Spigen Slim Armor/Tough Armor: Spigen has historically made some nice cases, but I haven't had a good experience with their newer Neo Hybrid's, so I chose these instead. I've had a Slim Armor for many phones ranging from my Note 3, LG G3, to my Motorola Nexus 6. The case might not be the best looking, but it gets the job done.
Slim cases:
1. Ringke Slim: This was my favorite case for my Nexus 6 last year due to how slim it was while still handling minor drops.
2. Diztronic TPU (assuming one comes out) their cases are excellent as is their customer support.
I will add some reviews as I get cases, accessories etc... If you want to see how I've written reviews in the past you can look in my signature, so you know what to expect once I start to post them.

You should see my OP for the 6P. I haven't added in the past few cases to it just yet, but I literally have a box of them on my bookshelf. I bought the Speck clear black Candyshell case because I know it will handle any drops that I will inevitably have. I don't think I will go overboard with this phone (I always tell myself that) because I'm not a big Samsung fan to be honest. I just thought the idea behind their camera set up was interesting enough to give it a try, and I like to have a backup device just in case.
I was using a Spigen Neo Hybrid for my S6 Edge for a long time and loved it, but eventually got a Mophie battery case because I needed to use an external battery all too often. I'll probably get the Neo Hybrid for the S7 Edge that I pre-ordered and hopefully the battery will last longer for me and I won't feel the need to go with a battery case.
But, while I was looking around at options I noticed that not only is Mophie already planning a case for the S7+Edge, but they are announcing that it will finally support wireless charging (yay). It is only a +60% battery option as opposed to the S6 Edge case which was a +100% battery option, but given the larger battery in the S7 edge a 60% boost should be plenty for me (I have often needed the extra power from my S6 Edge Mophie, but I have never run out with it - and 2600*2 < 3600*1.6)...
First Deal I've seen @ $3.99 for the CLEAR NON Prime shipped Ringke S7 & S7 Edge cases from their Offical Store via Amazon. Shipping is free.
The Note 5 Ringke case I had worked well. Ordered last night & it was marked shipped this morning.

does anyone know if any of these cases will work with a glass screen protector. The s6 edge did not have much luck.
I'll be looking for a subtle transparent silicon cover over the coming days. A great combination of protection without making the phone look s**t. I don't see the point is buying a phone that looks like this then covering it in something that takes the looks and feel away.
