If you used the app that was posted here, it means you will need to flash a stock rom using SPflash. Follow the steps provided in the vid. Be sure you download all the files and drivers in the description.

Once fixed, follow the guide here to root your phone using adb. Faster and simpler :

google trad. :
I fixed it !!! *. * Had already tried with sp flash tools, but discovered that the menu of the blue screen really was nothing more than a kind of control system, the pc not recognize the device so I started to play with the controls in Chinese (and could not screw up more true? xD) until you can make the device connects to the PC and flash tools recognized him! thank you very much anyway: D!

Disconnect your phone from your computer if it's connected and take out the battery. Hold the volume up and down keys, connect your phone to your computer while doing this, and then insert your battery while still holding down volume up and down. This might get you into download mode.

Nothing happened, so no access to the download, it's the same as in the video where you try to access the recovery mode, but this one is like the circle loading and off the screen and turns on again. I'm thinking the USB JIG solution but I have the problem that the phone is turned on you just put the battery and I doubt that I may have the USB method JIG

Can you try getting into recovery mode? Take the battery out, hold down volume up and volume down buttons. Then put the battery in while still holding the buttons down. Keep holding the buttons until the phone boots into recovery. From there, install a gingerbread rom. An ICS rom will not install with froyo bootloaders.

Researching on the internet I got a method to start the recovery with ADB.
But just to put adb reboot recovery, says: device not found, I tried to install the USB drivers again but nothing happens I do not recognize the phone. Do not be the ICS ROM that I want to recognize the phone?

If I tried to enter the recovery and the download and nothing, as my phone has the button On / Off stuck inside, so when I connect the battery the phone is turned away, just makes me fata press volume buttons and connect the battery to see if it comes to recovery, but not entered, the phone lights up the screen at & t and then goes black screen and returns to the screen at & t and so on, I'm trying with the SDK Manager but I have not solve the problem, I read this guide HTCMania forum http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=337069, this same guide is also on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=betzMPoTD68&feature=related

Have you tried a different cable? Or maybe even another computer? I've read quite a few posts here on XDA that the Samsung USB cable doesn't work with some computers or the computer itself is the problem..
[edit]
I noticed you're using
C:\android-sdk>
try using C:\Users\Yourcompuernamehere (the name you used for your computer ) >
Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt
It might be trying to find your phone via an emulator or something?
For now I have not tried connecting the phone to another computer, another will try tomorrow to see if at least recognizes the phone.
did u try the USB jig to force it in to Dwd mode ? or there is another method
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rdn5GoRjhn0
bbut i am not sure it will work in ur captivate. I had some problems , but another friend had no issues in this.....
I mean, my phone has the button On / Off stuck, so I can not use the USB method JIG because the battery just put the phone on immediately, the solution would be to repair the button On / Off in my area but I doubt they have support Android, much less this phone is not sold in my country, in addition to the telephony market in my country is invaded by Blackberry (4 of 5 people have a Blackberry). The USB JIG MercadoLibre.com sell it on but I need repair first button on / off

I just tried another USB cable but the PC does not recognize me the phone yet, I'm hoping that me will bring a laptop to see if it recognizes the phone.
The translations are considered google translator? No great confidence in this translator
As I posted in your other thread, the only thing I can suggest is trying the Nexus S drivers since your phone cannot be recognized.
I have the exact same Issue! My power button it's stuck so every time I put the battery the phone power on by itself... But I know the cause of my issue... I had a bootloop so on CWM I formated /boot later I discover that "/boot" is for bootloader and no for the ROM. So I'm stuck as you!
I don't think the correct drivers will work, because you need to be on download mode for that. I CAN'T get there. ANY HELP!?
BTW: I speak spanish PM if you found a solution.
Have you tried holding the vol up + vol down buttons while plugging in the phone? Or even volume down + power button(you say its stuck so no need to press it) while plugging in the phone?

Yes I tried that... But I get stuck either on ATT Screen or in the "loading battery charge logo" << just the circle not the battery logo itself, and if I pressed UP and DOWN it get stuck on a bootloop. ATT screen >> Black screen >> Att screen ... etc.
ADB or the jig method? One of those 2 has to work..

[Q] ICS upgrade on a SIM unlocked Vivid

Hi All, I just bought a SIM unlocked Vivid, still on his way to me tough, and I pretend to upgrade to ICS as soon as I receive it. So I went ahead on my investigation, and after spending several hours trying to understand how the ICS upgrade works, and how to do it without bricking or boot-looping it. I read thoroughly the SUPERGUIDE thread, saw some videos, and read HTC Vivid's support page (sorry I'm not allowed to post any link yet), but still I'm quite confused or unsure on the best process to follow. Sincerely after reading and reading, and searching many threads I got more confused. Although I've got a technology background, I'm completely new to this flashing-ROM-upgrading world.
My question is simple, I pretend to use the HTC Vivid page's instructions to perform the upgrade manually using the RUU ICS (444 MB) provided there (since I don't have any access to the AT&T network), and use "HTC SYNC 3.0.5617 FOR HTC VIVID™ (AT&T)" installed on my PC to flash the phone.
Assuming that the phone comes with the stock Gingerbread ROM and with the bootloader locked, since it's only SIM unlocked. If I understood correctly SIM unlocking has no relation with bootloader unlocking.
Can someone validate if I'm right? Or if not point me to the right direction?
Once you unlock your bootloader and achieve S-Off you should be able to upgrade regardless of what carrier your are or aren't using.
What carrier are you using ?

I'm currently outside the States, in Costa Rica, the carriers we have down here are a state owned, Movistar (Spaniard company) and Claro (Mexican company). None have the ICS upgrade available, not even HTC phones.
Does your answer mean that if the phone is SIM unlocked them the bootloader is unlocked too?
Thanks.
Franz
No, you will also need to unlock you bootloader using the HTCdev site and then achieve S-Off before you upgrade to ICS.
Check out the superuser guide for help with these two steps.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1416836
If this helped you please hit the Thanks button.
Just update your phone with RUU and then unlock the bootloader with the All in one Tool or the instructions in HTC Dev.
Before that you may decide install a custom rom with the recommended kernel, perm root, s-off etc.
Remember you have to use RUU with a locked or relocked bootloader.
This are the steps I followed for upgrading to ICS
Thanks to Archector and Esloan, both advices were very useful.
Just for the record, this is what I did for my succesful ICS upgrade:
I read, read, and read to clearly understand what Bootloader, S-Off / S-On, Recovery, Stock ROM, etc. is all about. This forum will be a great place to do this. The following steps shouldn't taken as final word, you should be able to understand if you can continue when some steps differ a bit.
2 Once clear on all these concepts, and clear on what I wanted to do, I downloaded the ICS stock ROM named as 'htc_vivid_att_RUU_3.26.502.56_US.exe' and downloaded the HTC Sync Software into my computer (both from HTC's support page).
Installed the HTC Sync Software. This software installs all proper drives needed to communicte the PC with the phone. BTW I'm using Win 7.
On the phone disabled the 'Fastboot' option. Went to Settings > Power > Un-tick the 'Fastboot' checkbox. Enabled USB Debugging at Settings > Applications > USB Debugging. Then switched off the phone and waited 5 seconds (aprox.) after screen went off. Be sure you have enough battery charge and the phone is NOT connected to the PC.
Now turned on the phone into the 'Bootloader' mode (hold the Volume_DOWN button and while holding it press the Power button until the Bootloader screen shows). If you don't know what I'm talking about then you'll need to read much more and widen your understanding on these concepts.
Checked that the first line of the Bootloader screen reads 'Locked'. If not I advice to stop here and better follow the very comprehensive guides for upgrading that can be found in this forum. To go out of Bootloader mode navigate to 'Fastboot' menu item (with the volume keys), select it (Power button), and select 'Reboot'.
If Bootloader is locked connect the phone to the PC using the USB cable provided with the phone. The PC will recognize the device since the HTC Sync is already installed and running in the background. Win 7 shows a globe indicating that the device is recognized.
On the PC I browsed to where the RUU executable was downloaded and ran this installation utility. Then followed the onscreen instructions.
After several minutes in the process, status bars on the PC and the phone completing. Then disconnected the phone from the PC and rebooted the phone. After reboot the phone was on ICS!
Refer to the 'Upgrade the AT&T HTC Vivid to Ice Cream Sandwich via leaked RUU' article on the Android Authority site since this is where I took them.
And remember that my phone was a stock Vivid, never changed the Bootloader, never installed any type of ROM, the current ROM was a stock GB, model HTC PH39100 and the phone is SIM unlocked.
I'm posting this with the hope to help someone else in the same situation and has concerns about upgrading to ICS and bricking the phone in the process.

¡Felicidades!

¡Felicidades!

Thanks for the translation, mate, still to hard for me. I found a better simple way to do it just like i did.
To get the ICS update on a AT&T HTC VIVID with unlocked SIM ( not root ) just dial *#*#682#*#* and thats it !!!! (make sure u have full batery or be connected (charging)
a download will apear on the bar up the screen i think was like 344mb , its going to take like 15-20 min, then the screen goes black an appear a symbol in the middle and a status bar, just wait for it to finish, When its done your phone will restart like 4 times by itself, and vuala!!! on the next restart the phone just got back on like a normal turn on , after the at&t logos it will appear the Beats Audio logo and next youll see your home screen but with the new under bar and the phone will start asking you to do some app updates. When you finish the updates the phone willnsynchronize all contacts, mails, sms, etc. and thats it !! ENJOY ICS AND SENSE 3.6 ON YOUR HTC VIVID.
I hope this post will help other people like me outside the us with sim unlocked vivid using a different carrier to enjoy the update!!

[Solved] Please help, not recovery usable on Asylum Omni

Hello, excuse my, my English very bad, use Google-translator to express myself in English, not just when I read ...
What I meant , and I have the phone with Root, Roms used've Stock Samsung, Paranoid 3.99 RC2, Mokee 4.4.2 , Paranoid 4.2 BETA 4 and 5, and 2 days ago I wanted to use the Asylum Omni 4.4.2 20140428, and everything was perfect, until me happened I try to install the update 20140501 , I can never get started because the Recovery is not accessible, remains permanently in bootloop, if I try to stick a kernel with ODIN does not work any installation (and had used the Mode Download in this and other moving smoothly on the same pc 1 week ago ) but the funny thing is that if I decide to turn it on in normal mode if I can work with mobile. But I find a way to reinstall the Recovery from Mobile so reboot with it.
And options that attempt to face are:
1 - Install Recovery with mobile on. To which if they could tell me some way or application that does not need to enter the Recovery it, since Rom Manager Rom Toolbox and can not.
2 - Try again if you want to accept the Stock Samsung finally with ODIN (which has already rejected me 3 times), since the kernels ( philz_touch_6.26.6-n7000.tar.md5 and Philz-cwm6-XXLT9-ORA-5.08.5.tar.md5 ) rejects me continually giving error.
To all this, I have always enabled the USB Debugging mode at all times ( I do not think that that is precisely the problem, it should be enabled to install from the Recovery Roms and kernels) . Hopefully someone can give me some clue to try to solve this little problem, because at least I still can use the phone, but wanted to try updating Asylum, and after that, also the Paranoid 4.3 BETA 1. A little help please, namely installed as the Roms, I even made a mini statutes in another forum to help the novice, but this quibble takes me all day to do nothing preventing testing in later versions, as with other Roms I wanted to follow testing more posts there to teach and have all details. All this almost like I stand look like a Betatester and makes thing little more than 1 month that I started to Rooting the phone, I'm impassive, did not want to ask to check phone settings, as it had touched something and remove it, but ní letting almost home with this Rom him enter the Recovery, which only gives 5 to 10 seconds of vision, and back again, so I took all afternoon, and when I got it to boot in normal mode, I thought it would be all right, but it was not, because it 's all still usable, the other 2 options are giving error.
I leave here my explanation in my mother tongue, for if it were not entirely understandable explanation to be translated by Google :

EDIT: No longer need the help, I just remove the problem, goodbye Rom Asylum, as only with ODIN and got more than 30 attempts to swallow one Stock Samsung Rom 4.1.2, and I do not think more details are needed, and nobody seemed interested, this problem. But it did, I ask not that the end after reinstalling the Rom and suffer again the same problem know to say, I am no longer able to check it, since I will not leave the phone in the same state only to see that no one says how to find out and to inform the Team Rom.

samsung note 5 black screen

Cualquier ayuda extra será bien recibida, gracias.
Well, I have already flashed the pit along with the other 4 files through odin, but note 5 refuses to turn on the screen ...... I bought the cel a few days ago and it is intact, without marks, bumps, etc. , which leads me to think that the screen has not received a blow, abuse, intensive use or something similar ...... all the lights come on, keys, led, sound, etc ... but the screen remains on black. As I mentioned I have already flashed it, use a program to automatically put it into download mode. After flashing it the phone makes the proper restart and the characteristic sounds of the samsung screen, the language setting screen, etc ... are heard, but the screen continues in the dark and obviously things get difficult. The PC recognizes it without problems.
Any additional help will be welcome, thanks.
