[q] otg support for canvas a1 - Android One (First-Generation) Cross-Device Genera

As we all know that our device doesn't support otg devices though there is another device of Micromax itself i.e. Micromax Unite 2. Both the device have same specifications and same hardware, since it supports OTG devices.
.
So i have a question that, is it possible to get OTG SUPPORT on our device by just modifying Kernel using Unite 2 sources?
.
As few of the people knows that Ziddey (dev) of Nexus devices.. he made that possible. He gave a custom kernel to Nexus 4 devices for OTG SUPPORT.
Since, before that the Nexus 4 doesn't Support OTG devices out of the box!
.
If its possible to by just modifying the kernel and get rid out of it, then it will be a great contribution to our devices! Thats all we want from our developers!.
would like to know ur opinions... thank u!

No, android one's hardware doesn't support OTG

First , thanks for your interesting about LG 4X HD .. unfortunately, the boot loader does not unlock yet .. there is an update will come out from LG company officially to jelly bean and the boot loader will unlock with the update .. you can learn more about the stock kernel and modifying it until the update comes out .. you have to contact dexter & kholk for that by sending pm to them .. they will help you from which point that you have began .
Best regards,
The bootloader is still locked on this device so if you're going to make a kernel you'd have to wait until lg releases jb and the unlock tool for anyone to be able to use it. What would be a cool feature to include would be a slide to unlock function using the capacitive buttons though

Having a good kernel with good support is more important than unlocked bootloader if there is no good custom krnel, so...
One thing I would like to see is display tweak like true color calibration...

sure you could find a way of sticking a cpu fan on the back of the case and wire it too some batteries.lol
all joking aside now, i dont find the heat a problem or at least it dont seem like a major issue to me,i do usually have the back part of the case of my phone just due to lazyiness of picking it up on putting it back on,
once the bootloader is unlocked then will be the time to experience the p880 with many things being improved over time
What I would like is:
-usb on-the-go (probably it will be enabled by default through Nvidia kernel 3, just as HOX)
-sweep2wake function just like some kernels for HOX
-under/over-clocking

Here is the download link, but without login data it won't help much.

It's strange, but my anti-virus program tells me, that this application contains a Trojan called "TR./Spy.Gen".

[ROM][DEV][OFFICIAL][v500] CM 11.0 Nightlies

This thread is for discussion of the nightlies only from http://download.cyanogenmod.org
Where to get info:
A good place to discuss in real-time is IRC at channel #lg-gpad on freenode
You can follow me on:
Google+: https://plus.google.com/114860410994043943287
Twitter: @dalingrin
Google+ is preferred but I will cross post to twitter as well.
Known issues:
-While LG's knock on feature works, knock off does not work yet.(A simple work around is go to the settings and add a "go to sleep" quick settings tile)
-Currently only for v500. GPE v510 support coming soon.
Installation:
Instructions will be up soon at http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org
Must have latest recoveries installed. If you installed your recovery prior to December 6th 2013 then you need to update it.
If flashing from a LG based rom then you must wipe the /data
Google Apps: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Gapps

My CWM build should work as it was updated with the same kernel that TWRP was updated from. I'll test it myself when the nightly is available and let you know.
I don't see the ROM for the LG G Pad.

Is the only known issue right now the lack of Knock Off? Otherwise, is it pretty much rock solid, or is it still a work-in-progress?

Fantastic, great news. Nice to hear there are no camera, wifi, or other issues!
Now I'd be curious to hear user feedback once it is live. I'll probably flash it this weekend.
I hope we do not see a huge decrease in battery. Good to see roms coming!
The Moto X bionic libs should work for this, right? It's a Qualcomm chip and Android 4.4. I'm using them on my DROID DNA and they make things much snappier.

Yes my understanding is that works the best right now. Hopefully better, more ART compatible, gapps will come soon.
PA Gapps are compatible with ART but they have several other issues.
I'm assuming this will not work on the Google Play Edition version because of Loki, and if i'm correct do you know how hard it'd be to make it work with the GPE? Just kernel I'm assuming? Thanks for your work!

Just the kernel will need to change. It will take a couple of days but we will have unified builds for both GPE V510 and V500 so it will be seamless.
It's up! Downloading now. I'll let you know what happens with CWM as well.
EDIT: Flashed just fine with my CWM build. Booting up now!
EDIT2: Things are going well. First thing I noticed is that auto rotate isn't working for me. Is it working for you, @dalingrin?

No. Usb OTG support is depend from kernel only. Also some software is require. Like Usb Host Contriller and Paragon NTFS mounter.
It will be great if Code Rom will have CM12 themes supporting. If it is impossible, then will be good add full black theme.

Simply speaking ,it is a bootloader replacement(or a modified bootloader) by which u can install multiple ROMs and recoveries at same time.U can run a miui ROM,aosp rom,Ubuntu Linux and u don't need any patched kernel or a multirom recovery or multirom supported rom .And no need of confirmation if a ROM can be booted as secondary or primary ROM as there is no terms like that.
@deeps7515 @preetnoobie
Bootloader is the first thing that get loaded in the memory after the device starts. Once the bootloader gets loaded in the memory, it handles OS initialization, and the OS initiates only after that point.
The goal of this project is to generify the process of bootloading, so that any ROM or any kernel can be loaded into memory without any kind of modification at all, through some universal architechture. The technical details are vast enough and quite frankly, even I don't understand many of that.
TL;DR
It will make multibooting buttery smooth in our devices.
if i am not wrong .. now we can also install complete armhf based linux distros??

Well sadly, sailfish still requires some work to be done because of the hardcoded system.mount, and I directly jump into it after I publish the first beta. Right now, I'm experiencing some weird bug that apparantly noone has faced before, and that's why the build is taking longer than expected.
Stay tuned.
Excited..

Only like 890 ish mb

Pristine ROM.
ROM:https://mega.nz/#!0nQV1CLa!jAnUWQqHpoQouULKKK6Fiz49IGYbklV9CdGJQNDQ4uA
Just download, wipe everything but internal and external, flash ROM. I was worried the encryption break wouldn't work right since its flashed before magisk, I had it in the kitchen to flash last, but it has a mind of its own apparently..and flashes fine none the less. After test flashes, 3x, I setup the phone and booted back to recovery and could still Mount data.so we're good. ROM doesn't have a file manager, but I recommend mixplorer or solid explorer on play. And the only thing that doesn't work is applock. Its a samsung feature that didn't work well with the google framework. So u can see it, it just doesn't do ****. Causes settings to reboot. Also, there is no advanced reboot menu. Tried to keep it pure.
Enjoy.

Great Job guys ... I thank you for your dedication to our special phone. As long as you build and post them I will flash and use them !!!
issues
Just couple things I notice in case you would like to know. . .
1) At the initial setup screen. Two options at bottom are Emergency and Vision.
If you click on Vision it crashes "Settings have Stopped"
.
-- ALSO --
.
If you let it sit there you will get this "tuiService has "Stopped."
2) You might want to change the Model Number . . it is showing SM-A510F ( doesnt matter to me ) but might confuse some.
3) My home screen is "jumpy" it bounces up and down for a while then stops and starts again ??
That is all I found so far, but its late and I will finish checking all tomorrow.
Thanks again for your work guys !! I love it

2) You might want to change the Model Number . . it is showing SM-A510F ( doesnt matter to me ) but might confuse some.
I won't change the model, it's a port of that phone
3) My home screen is "jumpy" it bounces up and down for a while then stops and starts again ??
All google ROMs do that first boot
That is all I found so far, but its late and I will finish checking all tomorrow.
Thanks again for your work guys !! I love it

Absolutely no problem. This is what I did for many years with both Microsoft and Symantec.
I have found a couple other issues btw but it is 3am now, and I must sleep.
I will post tomorrow
Cheers
