Hi guys! I have a sony z3 compact Vietnam/Singapore Region and maybe our Sony branch forgot release new firmware 6.0 for z3c, i've found that in Australia already released Firmware 6.0 for D5833 (Australia Generic)
Can i flash this firmware for my Z3c (Singapore Genenic)
Im currently using a generic D5833 firmware, so yes, you can do it(currently 5.1.1)
You can flash any firmware just following this rule:
Flash FTF for your SPECIFIC xperia model, D5833 WITH D5833 FTF/FILES
never, i must emphasize, NEVER FLASH D5833 WITH D5803 FTF/FILES ETC
heres a tutorial dont forget to thank the autor of that tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/how-to-root-backup-drm-keys-t3013343
Lol, you can Flash D5803 files even with a D5833 device. I personally did it with mine nothing really happened except the LTE Icon got changed to 4G, but otherwise 4g still worked.

Hi comunity!
I have a small question. I bought my Z3 Compact in Spain and bring it to Argentina where I live. The thing is that my phone haven't recived the 5.1.1 OTA, and I want to know if anyone here have the Unbranded Version of Spain and actually had recived this last update. That 'couse I dont know if still waiting or flash with Flashtools a firmware from other country. (If I have to do this last option, with country I should use? My device is D5803)
Thanks!
If you bought an unbranded Z3 Compact in Spain, there is no Customized ES 5.1.1 firmware released yet.
XperiFirm reports 23.1.A.1.28 as latest firmware for Customized ES firmware.
You may install any firmware using Flashtool if you want to update your cell phone. I would recommend Nordic Combined / Customized NCB or Baltic Generic / Customized BAL for quickest updates and less bloatware.
In Spain we are still waiting for the customized...

Thanks guys! You solve a big question in my mind
But, before read your mesajes, I already flashed an US Unbranded 5.1.1
I have a stock (Unrooted or anything) Xperia Z (C66003) branded from my network here in the uk 3/Three which is running 5.0.2 but everytime I search for an update it says i'm up to date.
I know I can get 5.1 on my device so what can i do to update to it?
Cheers
In Flashtool there is XperiFirm. Download 5.1.1 ftf and flash it. I usually flash Central Europe 1, it's not branded and have less bloatware.
Good Luck.

Thanks very much, I never knew of Flashtool before but just finished flashing Central Europe 1 now as my carrier doesn't have the latest version.
Seems to have went ok although just at the Android is upgrading screen, but happy to be on 5.1 finally not that there was anything wrong with 5.0.2 for me but nice to upgrade.
Cheers
Hello, i want to flash back to stock, but i am not sure which version i need?
I have a xperia z3 compact d5803
Any Z3C firmware will work as it is all the same software with just a difference of basebands and model number
If you wish to download a firmware, click the xperiafirm icon in flashtool or check this LINK for a list of firmware
I'm looking for the kitkat firmware for Z3 Compact D5833 Australia Unbranded firmware.
If anyone could help me out, with a valid download link, I'd be really grateful.
Does such a thing even exist? I got a Z3C a few months ago and could only find a file called D5833_23.0.A.2.93_Commercal_and_Journalists.ftf (needed KK to backup TA and install dual-recovery).
I have bought a used xperia z1 docomo so 01f. It's the same as any other Z1 except it's from a japanese carrier. It is running on jellybean 4.2.2, i wish to upgrade it to lollipop 5.1.1.
OTA is not working obviously. I can't seem to find much help regarding the upgrade on the internet either.
I'm now thinking about flashing a american carrier rom on it via flash tool (atnt, tmobile, etc). Would that work?
Otherwise the other option would be to flash a lollipop custom rom...
Any help would be appreciated.
