Hello everyone,
I can not find the necessary information (I have to look bad).
I buy a Huawei P8 Lite with the ALE-L02C636B150 version, I life in France and the network is sometimes not very good, perhaps because of the version of the build.
I would like to know as go on an ALE-L21 version, and what do I risk.
Thank you ! :good::good:

I do not think it is possible to go onto an android build from another variant. Thing is, most builds are device specific, so a build from one variant will not work on another. You have the ALE-L02 variant, and you want to go onto a ALE-L21 Variant build... IMO, you might just end up with a brick.
But than again, I can be proven wrong...
You can't go to l21,there are some differences wich are not supported for your version

Hi, yesterday Huawei announcied the UPDATE to LOLLIPOP for ALE-L04 model!
It is not available via OTA yet, but you could update manually, it's very easy.

Definitely not!
The ALE-L04 is contains a Qualcomm chipset, ours contains a HiSilicon Kirin one...two different things.
You are putting your phone to the risk of bricking if you try to upgrade to it.
Well, after a few days using this, i have the notification problem.
Found something about deleting xml files but can't find those files.
Any solution?
What are you meaning to say by notification problem?
Same as other EMUI phones. I don't recieve any. But, i don't know how but it's working fine right now. I tried some settings, maybe there is The key. But don't know what was lol.
So when we get 5.1.1 for ALE. L21 and will we get 6.0
Sent from my ALE-L21 using Tapatalk
Nobody knows for sure. Maybe we'll get it, maybe we won't.
But I'm sure after getting the appropriate sources for our phone, ROMs get produced, maybe AOSP or CM as well.
6.0 for P8 Lite is confirmed.

If someone is still confused, yes P8 Youth Edition is P8 Lite. Same phone with two names. When we get 6.0? Android 8.0 will be already up by that time lol.
Another name!!

In Latinamerica Huawei name it G Lite.....Ill bet we wont be getting 6.0 over here..but I will be waiting for a custom rom.
Any help?
Tried downloading every single ROM I found but none of them allow me to update from my current firmware.
I think I mgiht need to first stablish a european stock android 5 so I can go ahead and use the ROMS that are actually around the web, but cdont know how to do that!
Check if the builds you find here are compatible with yours. Most of the links here are referring to European builds (C432 if I am not mistaken). You might have to convert to dual Sim European.

Some info what this is? I'm not Snapdragon, but I wouldn't flash anything I don't even know what it is. One sentence would be enough

They have the same CPU's (snap 615), It may work, but not all wifi, bluetooth, charging led,etc chips are the same and the drivers will not work on P8 Lite
And the screen is 5,5 inches, and the buttons are not on-screen, on HW we have 5 inches and on-screen buttons
Remember:
Honor= cheaper part of Huawei- lower cost parts
Huwei="luxury" part of Huawei- more expenisve parts (but if they were more"luxury all huawei devices would have snap to make developing of rom's easier)
You can try, but many drivers will not work and TWRP may give you an error when trying to flash beacause the rom is not made for your device.
EDIT: if you are not living in china the RIL will not work. This rom is made for China Telecom

Thank you for the information.
In this case I will not try it, I thought that this Honor model was the same as P8 Lite but in China.
Regards.
screenshots?
Oh, and for more info
"what rom is this screenshot pls etc etc"
"AOSP 6.0.1 for Honor 4C/P8lite"
That is NOT Aosp 6.0.1. That is Mokee Rom.
And this rom just "says " it is for P8 Lite, when it isn't
chm_cl00 is the model of a honor-- "Huawei Honor 4C CHM-CL00 - Specs - Phone More"
well, i was checking this web: http://hwmt.ru/hwmtsite/firmware-database/?firmware_model=VTR&firmware_page=0 and i see a lot of FullOta and Ota files which can be flashed. Right now, i have a VTR-l09 with this compilation VTR-L09C45B101, which is a customized version of Software from my carrier (TIGO) and i want to go to a more clean version (debloated) of the software for my P10. Any help will be really appreciated!
No, you can not.
I have L09C109B100 and even the L09C109B110 fails.
At this moment I am thinking about rebranding to general C432 (EU).

Im New to Huawei, coming from a large tradition of Motorola and Sony (moto defy, razr I, Xperia sola, Xperia z3c), even on xiaomi mi2s was easy to change rom but this is overwhelming to me... How could you rebrand this device with so many files to choose from?
Edit: I found this guide https://www.reddit.com/r/FunkyHuawe...to_rebrand_debrand_change_region_with_huawei/
I emailed Huawei regarding the Nougat update for EU Mediapad M3's (BTV-W09B) and they don't know when it will be. I am not really impressed as Nougat has been out 10 months now. No doubt the EMUI 'enhancements' slow down development.
I really like the tablet but this does not bode well for the future. Let hope that some custom Roms can be developed in the mean time.

Same answer for BTV-DL09, from Huawei Romania.
You can update your tablet via Firmware Finder, to B301 (for BTV-W09). it is Nougat, everything ist working properly.
I have B302 (for BTV-DL09) and have no issues, tablet is working even better

Hi 30adi, do you know if I can flash europe rom on my US device? My device has a model code BTV-W09C128, not sure if I can flash roms for BTV-W09C100
thanks
No, you can't. You need to change region to C100. I have no idea how it can be done. For other Huawei products it is possible, they have more support from developers.

Why? Can you explain this???
Are you sure or only spamming aroud FUD?
In my experience you can safely install a ROM of different region if for the same HW.
Why should I spam? I have no interest on spamming here...
Check other Huawei threads and you will see that people are using tools to change region.
If you know how it's done, people here are waiting for a tutorial. Explain them how it's made.
I do not need, as I already have the EU version and running 7.0.

I have just had a new one appear on Firmware Finder dated 6/6/2017, its BTV-W09C100B302 (FullOTA-MF-P 87280) 2.38GB. I am a bit cautious to flash it as this is my only working tablet at the moment.
there are instructions in pg 11 to backup and change regions in the update emui 5 thread. post #108. worked for me. ive switched between euro to south east asia.
I tried updating my tablet (BTV-DL09) to latest firmware but it is not working. Firmware Finder finds B303 update, but when i try to install it, authentication error ist coming. I am on B302 now.

Well said!
I have an EU model and no update. Must be phased. According to Firmware Finder the latest is 303 not 302 for Europe.
I take it back its 302.
European LTE model has version B303. WIFI version B302.
