I'm looking to buy an S2 but I've become confused by all the Txxx numbers. If I'm looking for the 8" tablet what's the current model number? Is there a WiFi and an LTE variant?
Specifically, T710 vs T713. Every retail store I look at seems to sell the T710, but Amazon says the T713 is newer.
T713 is the newer model of the T710, with the snapdragon chipset. It hasn't been properly released yet, although it might be available in Germany. T715 is the LTE variant, and T719 is the newer snapdragon model of that.
So, first digit is size (7=8", 8=9.7"), 1 appears constant, last digit is 0 for WiFi Exonys, 5 for LTE Exonys, 3 for WiFi Snapdragon(new), 9 for LTE Snapdragon (new).
This was very helpful, thank you. Just picked my S2 up from Best Buy a couple of days ago and it is the T713. Was confused about it until I read this

Sorry if this has been asked earlier, but I was unable to search and find anything regarding the following information - so here it goes:
I've seen several posts on xda mentioning a -807 (vs the -805 we have in Sweden atm) and I'm wondering what the difference between these two models are. I assume the -807 has LTE as well as a new processor, no?
Also, is there a -707 model on the way as well? In that case, I'm going for it!
I have no idea about the 707 and T807s. What I can tell you is that the T705 and T805 both have roms and root for the tablets. I havent seen any roms for 707 of any sort. So most likly, you are going to see more development for the T805 and T705 and root for those also. There is no root for T707 or t807 and migjt have locked bootloaders i think.
If I'm not mistaken the x07 models are some special AT&T models or something...

the ATT model per oldblue910 I think does not have call app (cannot make calls..data access but no calling capability)
I believe T707 is a modified T705 with the calling/texting apps removed. T807 is probably similar.
There are sub-models like T707A (AT&T) and T807V (Verizon). I think the Verizon and Sprint models have a Snapdragon processor
T807x and T707x have a Snapdragon and LTE. The x indicates carrier customizations for USA carriers (mobile phone functions removed for sure, some may even have specific LTE bands). The T805 and 705 have an Exynos and LTE, and the T800 and T700 have an Exynos without LTE.
Does anyone know if it's safe to flash the T705 stock firmware on the ATT T707 variant using Odin? I recall doing this on the original Galaxy Tab and the Euro firmware enabled the dialer for calling. Using mine on T-Mobile and would love to remove the ATT bloat.
Sorry if his is redundant, I could not find anything on Google.
I have the t807p which is the sprint model with snapdragon processor. I make calls to and from it all the time as it came with its own phone number from sprint.
The AT&T x07 models use a Exynos CPU not Snapdragon.
I returned mine.
Snapdragon is much better and lots of development in custom roms
Hi Everyone
My last tablet has gone tits up, an Asus Nexus 7 so I'm looking for a new one. I feel the galaxy S2 is a good upgrade.
Just after abit of advice, been reading that there is 2 processor variants. Does this apply to the UK version, if so what should I be on the lookout for?
Also I had my nexus 7 rooted, can't the galaxy S2 be rooted?
Thanks for you time and thank you in advance for your advice!
I believe that mostly Samsung chooses where to send their models and that determines what processor.
Most likely UK only has one.
While it isn't a Note, the S2 (8") is very nice.
The SM-T719 / SM-T713 are the 2016 versions with the SnapDragon SOC.
The SM-T715 / SM-T710 are the 2015 versions with the Exynos SOC.
I got my SM-T719 through Amazon Italy for a lot less money than Amazon UK or Amazon Germany.
It's worth checking out.
as title.
the exact model number is either SM-T810 or T813. I haven't bought it yet but thinking buying one of these 2 models.
so what was your question?
I'm looking to get myself a Tab S2, but it's really confusing to see all those versions.
I know there's a WiFi-only model (which I'm looking for) and a LTE one.
I've seen mentions of following models:
T713 (supported by LineageOS, which I'm also looking for), WiFi only, so that would be the one for me to look for?
T710
T715
T715Y
T719
T719N
T710
Am I correct assuming that the T710/T715 (WiFi/LTE) versions are the previous-gen ones and T713/T719 ones are the current ones?

Your assumptions are pretty much correct 4rz0;73072978. The SoC is slightly better on the current gen, but the GPU is worse. If you ever want to use MHL, you need the first gen, Exynos version as the current gen SD652 doesn't support MHL whatsoever.
If you end up with an LTE version, (but intend to just use it as wifi,) you will need to put it in Airplane mode and turn on Wifi as the LTE card still searches for signal and drains the battery.
Good luck.
whay does the Y mean on t715y,,,,,whats difference t715....thanks
Hi
This probably comes a bit late as most people on the forum already have a Note 9 but just in case this helps someone.
I have previously bought my S7, s8 and s9+ from Europe and imported them to my current home country for use here and another country in South America I regularly visit. So far no problems.
I had just made up my mind to buy the N960F/DS the same way. Pure chance led me to check the bands. I was very surprised to find that, even though 4G works fine on my S9+ here, the N960F does not have compatible 4G bands that would work here. Samsung appears to have changed the availability of bands between the S9+ G965F and the N960F. The only version that will work for 4G here is now the N9600. Lucky I found out just in time before ordering my Note 9.

It might help others if you listed the missing bands. Or linked to your source for that bands are supported.

Looks to me like the G965F and the N960F both support all the same bands.

On what conclusion do you base this theory on?
Is it because one shows 4G and one doesn't or one shows LTE and the other one doesn't?
I'd recommend comparing true band compatibility by using Samsung's own regional websites under corresponding spec sheets. I don't trust third party websites for accuracy on this matter. Example, got Samsung's website in Brazil and check the note 9 band specs and then go to Samsung's Singapore website and compare the note 9 band specs etc....

Thanks for the responses. I would be delighted to be wrong, particularly as I have always had Exynos versions before so I could root the phones but the N9600 is Snapdragon.
The main website I look at is Frequencycheck.com. I shall investigate further.
That website has been wrong for me in the past. Use Samsung's own websites to verify bands for each model .
