Personal'm already tired of the look of Android 5.1.1 Official and would like to use with modern and stable appearance.
One that works all without bugs!
What advise to use? Preferably with MM appearance!
Thank you all for the attention!
Marshmallow and Lollipop look almost identical. If you want stable, stick with Lollipop.
It has no similar ROM with MM? I like the icons are more modern.

Hey guys
So Android Lollipop got announced. Looks awesome and beautiful.
And I see even the Moto E is getting the Lollipop update....SO I was just wondering , maybe ,just maybe it might be possible that a Lollipop ROM could be possibly developed? Fingers crossed !!
yeah it's possible but not in the coming days or even weeks
final android lollipop will be released in the 3rd of November with nexus 6 and nexus 9 then if we are so lucky, someone will port it to our device after weeks or maybe months, then maybe we will see official releases from cm, pa and slim.
but if you are talking about a stock lollipop rom from samsung... sure you are kidding
Some news?
I guess you've completely missed this thread then....?

Is this the latest?
cmRemiX_trltetmo_LP-5.0.2.v6.3.ZION959_20150125-022359.zip
No. The latest is v9.3 or v9.4.
You can get the latest and older versions on basket build:

i have been waiting for miui 7 lollipop edition for the xperia z1 for the longest. now i dont know how to really build kernels be i can somewhat port roms.
i see that select xiaomi phones have a lollipop version of Miui v7 and i would love to get my hands on it. now i ask, is remotely possible to do this? i assume so but no one has taken the time to do it?
not to mention that our current miui v7 can work on stock kernel with a locked bootloader. now im not asking all that but i would like to get this project underway

Miui is proted using patchrom which currently supports only kitkat at the moment, someone suggested on one thread in the miui forum that lollipop might be skipped and patchrom for MM will be released, purely speculation of course but just like any OEM these guys are slow at releasing updates.

I don't think they will make a patch rom for mm. If they wanted to they would have been done so.
Also do I have to use patch ROM? I want to do it manually. Perhaps I'll port one thing at a time. Trial and error.
~xperia Z1~
Well I'm a little hard headed so out of boredom and free time I'll slowly port and read debug for errors and dependencies starting with the home launcher, then system settings etc

take a look at this, its been done. someone has miui v7.1 on a non miui phone.
theres a way i guess.

what if we ported that rom (or any rom in gereral) itself from that lenovo-a7000 to the xperia Z1?
Sony said, No more Z1 OTA. sadly.:crying:
So I want to know.
Is it possible to change the 'sony stock' + 'marshmallow'
+ 'custom(like Rockz1l)' + 'porting(z5, X series... Whatever)' rom
in the future?
Sorry for bad Eng.
I wish it is possible.

No, because you need Marshmallow sources from Sony, which they'll never release.
Z1 is done and obsolete. If you really want the latest Android version, download the unofficial CM/AOSP Marshmallow ROMs; otherwise, buy a new phone. Although CM/AOSP MM build has been released a while ago, they're still full of issues (camera is bad, low battery life, etc.). They're still under active development, so things may change in the future. I recommend staying with Lollipop because it's stable and has excellent battery life.

People had success with porting Sense 6 to hammerhead, and it's surprisingly usable with some issues considering it's a non-source port for an entirely different device.
Porting a proprietary ROM is a pain as it mostly involves trial-and-error to find out what's preventing the ROM from booting up but we will see if a similar project appear for the Z1
Android 7.0 is rolling out,and some of the developers are onto it,
