Flashtool-fastboot mode-select kernel to flash - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I got a problem when using Flashtool. Could someone help me plz..~
My Sony z3 compact hasn't been bootloader unlocked. I tired to flash the kernel .sin from a stock rom in fastboot mode---

>FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
Why it wouldn't even let me flash the kernel.sin extracted from a stock firmware

Fastboot flash doesn't work if your bootloader isn't unlocked. You can always use Flashmode to flash a stock kernel since you are also running on a stock rom

My phone can now only be connected to PC in fastboot mode(yeah. . I kinda break it. . . . what should I do now?

feherneoh said:
The phone should check for the volume down key being pressed BEFORE trying to verify the kernel, and going to fastboot if it fails, so you should be able to use Flashmode, just make sure you CONNECT USB and not PRESS POWER with volume down held down
Also you have to start the flashing process before connecting the phone (I hope you already knew this)

Just unlock the bootloader, shouldn't be that hard you can always use the button on Flashtool or Sony's official way

DON'T 'just unlock the bootloader' your camera will be screwed for forever and you'll never get low light pictures to work again

Besure u have installed fastboot on windows (if not, download and install from here)
Then open cmd
Then Type: fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
It will help to solve ur prob.
If you have unlocked bootloader, I recommend to use Myth Tools to flash firmware

NEED GUIDANCE
7.7.1Q-115_MB886_FFW-14_SIGNED_CFC.xml.zip>>>>> This is ICS firmware.
I think u should try to flash JB firmware with our tools. Remember to ensure the free space on your hard disk.
After that, do what I said in 2nd post above if it still boot to fastboot mode.

HTC only booting to white screen HTC One logo. Can't turn it off!

Hello guys,
I have S-OFF, supercid, relocked bootloader phone
First I installed Firmware package from 2.17.401.1 RUU sucressfully my terminal quoted and then after reboot My phone was not reacting to any tipping on the screen. I only reached the screen where it demands the pin to type in.
So I flashed it again with firmware.zip from 1.29.401.12. Flash sucessfully (terminal quoted) and now it rebooted to the htc one logo and nothing else happens. I even cannot turn it off. Please help.
Update: I managed to reboot it but it is not reacting when i want to put in my PIN
Put the device under direct light (perhaps like a bulb) and press the power and volume down buttons together until the device reboots. While it is under direct light, do not cover the light sensors (on the left of the upper speaker grill) with your hand.

I flashed firmware 1.29.401.12 it again and same no reaction with touchscreen
Re-lock your bootloader (this will most probably wipe content of your device)
Copy downloaded .zip to fastboot.exe location (e.g. c:/SDK/platform-tools/fastboot.exe)
Re-name .zip file to firmware.zip
Open command prompt
Boot your device in fastboot mode (vol down + power ===> fastboot)
Connect device to the PC
In command prompt cd to fastboot.exe location
Make sure you have correct modeid and cidnum (type: fastboot getvar all)
Type: fastboot oem lock (if your device is not relocked yet)
Type: fastboot oem rebootRUU and wait for device to reboot
Type: fastboot flash zip firmware.zip and wait for process to complete
Sometimes flashing for the first time doesn't work, so flash firmware.zip again just to make sure.
Type: fastboot flash zip firmware.zip and wait for process to complete
Type: fastboot reboot
Unlock your bootloader and flash custom recovery if you are going to use custom ROM.
I did everything till step 14. Rom i have not installed yet because i want to install the firmware first.

I've had the same issue. Which rom do you use? CM wasn't working for me, so I had to flash Sense rom like ARHD 11 or Trickdroid 7.5
I also flashed the older firmware.zip and still no touch responsiveness. You will also have to flash a newer cwm touch recovery if you are using it, helps navigating through aroma http://goo.im/devs/Flyhalf205/M7/Recovery/recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.3.2-m7.img

You need to flash this firmware: http://www.androidrevolution.nl/downloader/download.php?file=2.17.401.1-custom.zip again, and then flash the custom recovery stated above this post. Next, flash the latest Android Revolution which is on the newest base which other roms don't have yet. This should fix your issue. CM roms cannot be used by your device in its current state, as the touch drivers aren't compatible. You must use a Sense rom

Yes touchscreen works in recovery. I am at the moment not using any rom. I have bought a branded phone and all I did was giving it S-OFF, unlock bootloader, supercid, root.
And now after I flashed firmware 2.17, i simply want to put a rom on it like Revolution HD 11

No need to relock bootloader when S-Off. If you upgrade firmware. If you upgrading to 2.17 f/w u need to flash new recovery as well.

Dude, how many threads do you need to create, it won't make it any more likely that anyone will help you
Your problem is caused by that you only unlocked the bootloader and not critical partitions
Which stock rom were you on before flashing a custom one?

Are you sure?, if so, manually flash boot, system and vendor using fastboot to your current slot
Fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
Or boot_b if active slot is B etc...
Then go to developer options and enable oem unlocking, if you can't enable that option, lock the bootloader, enable the option then unlock bootloader and critical flashing

But before you flash system image first try with the boot img and recovery img.
I was to getting the message that i cant flash so used the command for oem unlock which reset the counter to 1
After which did flashing of boot .img and then recovery.img
If issue the use the falshboot flashing unlock.
This were the steps used by me to recovery, i didnot do any other flashing.
Hope this helps you
Edit: After the oem unlock command directly try to flash boot and then recovery and then if required flashing unlock command.

I tried it. Either I'm doing something wrong or it's not working
Everything works, I unlocked it myself, I just don't remember which command:
fastboot oem unlock
or
fastboot flash unlock
fastboot devices ok
fastboot oem unlock 0xunlockcode "FAILED (remote: 'Command not supported in default implementation')
fastboot: error: Command failed"
fastboot oem unlock unlockcode the same
fastboot flash unlock "unknown partition 'unlock' fastboot: error: cannot determine image filename for 'unlock'"
I think the problem is with entering fastboot mode. When "phone is turned off and press and hold the Fastboot key Volume up* when you connect your phone to the computer" i have blue diode but in SDk no devices
On comand fastboot flash unlock i have "fastboot: error: ANDROID_PRODUCT_OUT not set"
