Did that, obviously. The page mainly contains images instead of text, so the vast majority can't be translated which makes it rather useless.
The answer that you can roughly charge a 3100mAh device three times is also bogus so won't order there anyway :good:

Search for "AP08Q" on eg. AliExpress, it can be bought there from a few sellers.

Does it charge the battery pack itself at 9v2a quickcharge?

According to specifications - yes. (3,5h to full charge with Huawei 9V2A charger)
The powerbank has arrived!

Quick charging works:
- proper battery icon and notifications appear
- Ampere app reports up to 2800mA charging current
Thanks ufoman will.order this one then
have a source for better price? Ones I seen go for around $38-40 for the quick charge version. Also, does it provide constant 2.4 ah current? The original adapter seems to charge switch from 1.4 to 2.4 and not constant. It seems this can be charged at 12v via quickcharge 2 or 3.0
The problem is only Huawei fast charge works with Huawei mate 8

I have tried few wall chargers and power banks, unfortunately Huawei's mate 8 does not accept many chargers that supports 9v2a output. on the contrary, its own charger does charge almost every mobile that has a QC2.0 support.
the latest thing I bought was the Anker's powercore+ 26800 which has three outlets two of which are IQ and one a QC2.0
the IQ outlet provides a max of 1770 mah and the QC2.0 provides a max of 1550 mah or so.(the IQ outlet is reasonably ok during my weekly camping).

As far as I can tell, it works exactly like the wall charger. The phone does not heat up any more using the powerbank, so it has to use the same burst charging method to avoid overheating the battery.
Charging time from 5% to 100% is a little bit below 2h30m (the last 10% take an awful lot of time).

excellent results, thank you ufoman and enjoy your power bank :good:
mate 8 and all of the phones which uses fast charging do slow down around 85% battery and the remaining 15% takes a lot of time so I usually charge it to 90% and use it for the whole day

You don't need any additional charger. The charger you get with the phone is fast charger. It charges with 2A current and you can see fast charge symbol in the status bar when charging.
As far as i know, the 16gb china version comes with 5V 1A (http://www.vmall.com/product/1915.html#3723,57) charger while the 64gb comes with 5V2A (http://www.vmall.com/product/2312.html#4875,57) charger. The latter is the official fast charger for Huawei although both are fast charging.
Not sure what kind of charger comes with the international version.
my is international (uk) comes with 5V 2A. 16GB version.

All chargers independently of the model are 2A. Hence all are fast chargers as if the charger can produce sufficient current it is just on the processor to enable fast charge. And processor is the same for all models.
There is a menu option on my uk model to enable fast charging
Hi there
For a fast Charging we need a special charger that send 9v instead 5v; 5v 2a are good and fast standard chargers nowadays, but to enjoy a fast charging, we need to buy a certified Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, looks that some samsung fast chargers algo works well.
I found some chinese review about the offical Huawei Fast Charger there is the link:

Is there are any way to see if the phone is taking a higher voltage? I've got two QC 2.0 chargers that output 5, 9 and 12V and don't see a huge improvement (it's fast, yes, but no faster that I can see than using a 5V/2.1A charger).

If you are in no hurry you might save battery life by not using this option. Just a guess as fast charging usually shorten battery life.

I doubt it make such difference in the grand scheme of things. The phone will probably be long gone by the time the battery life is noticeably reduced from charging at any speed.
I am not aware of any other phones having such an option.
It's almost as if Huawei just wants to emphasise the feature having been late to the party on any type of fast charging.

Well, even manufacturers say it is safe, if it is your only/main charger, you might want it make a slow charge at night or if is not necessary to charge fast in order to keep battery healthy as possible.
I also don't know if that options are enabled by default.

Only with a USB charging meter really.
Honor 7 definitely supports fast charging with a standard 2A charger. It charged from 10-100% in around an hour.

If the values on the P9 photo are correct the charging will only be marginally faster (9.19 x 1.09 = 10) than using a proper "normal" charger (wihich will have approximately (5 * 1.7 = 8.5) and much slower than the original Huawei wall charger.
For me: not worth the hassle / money :good:

You are right that could be the reason since the screen is on !! this is also on my wall charger the ampere drops from 1.67 to 0.8 or 0.4 if the screen is on, but the voltage remains at 9.15v once the mobile detects it is connected to a fast charger.
Aha this explains the very short video they provided because if it continued for a minute or less the ampere will drop down. :good:
The question i have is, when i use Navigation and charge, will the accu getting full or still loose %.
I have another question, my mate 8 is getting very warm when i use Navigation for one Houre or longer. Is this normal?

I have the same question.
When I connect the phone to my car charger, I have a charging current of about 1.1 amps, measured with Ampere. I know these are not accurate readings but it gives you an idea of what to expect. When I start my navigation app the current drops to about 600 milliamps. So far so good, but when I start my journey and the WiFi connection gets lost (switching to mobile) I end up under 100 milliamps. Obviously that isn't enough to keep the charge, let alone charge the phone. Now i wonder, would this charger actually be able to charge the phone while navigating...

Yeh just seems a good idea to have one that also supports Quick Charge as other family members have Samsung devices with Qualcomm processors.
Anker Powerport Speed 5 is working perfectly in Super Charge on the 2 USB Quick Charge 3 and Super Charge (slower) on the 3 other USB slots
Does it detect as fast charge or slow charge on the Anker powerport?
i'm using a Mi powerbank pro, it supports QC3.0 and also huawei fast charge, not as fast as super charge, but it'll get the job done.

Is that the first generation or the second generation?
Original charger hits 1700mA while Quick Charger 3.0 hits 2300mA. Screenshots below. I'd like to know if anyone else has done a similar test so we can compare results. I bought a (supposedly) Quick Charger 3.0. The results are obviously better but I'm not sure if its supposed to be higher or not.
SD660 can even do Quick Charge 4, but for Mi A2 officially only in india.

Exactly! i really don't know how that works.. Does that mean that the original charger is somehow a quick charger?
Empirical evidence suggests that Oreo seems to show "charging rapidly" anytime amperage is above 1 amp or so, it has nothing to do with using a quick charger or the original brick supporting quick charge.

No guys. I found:
0 - 999 mA = charging slowly
1000 - 1499 mA = charging
>> 1500 = Charging rapidly
Not sure if MiA2 use the same parameter.
Nice, I was gonna say 1500 cause that was kind of what I remembered but wasn't totally sure. 1.5A is typically rapid enough to charge with relative speed even while the device is in use which is probably why that was picked. I agree that they should probably provide a reading above 2A to signify quick charging as "charging rapidly" is definitely confusing.

hey, i ordered a 27W original Xiaomi charger for my Mi 9, since it doesn't come in the box, and i noticed some weird behavior.
on my old quick charge 3.0 18W charger i get something like 4300mah charging speed on the Ampere app. but on my new 27W charger i'm getting only a maximum of 2900mah.
even stranger is that when i charge on the 18W charger, i get the "Charge Turbo" icon. but when i charge on the 27W charger i get the "quick charge" icon. exactly the opposite of what should have happend.
so, why is my 27W charger won't charge in full speed?
Thank you for your help.
Perhaps you could be able to supply just a bit more information, otherwise it will be very hard to say anything at all. Things like, where do you live, where did you order the charger and is it really supposed to work as you expect it to do where you are? And what version of the Mi9 do you have?

Perhaps you could be able to supply just a bit more information, otherwise it will be very hard to say anything at all. Things like, where do you live, where did you order the charger and is it really supposed to work as you expect it to do where you are? And what version of the Mi9 do you have?

I live in Israel, which means i use EU plug. i bought the charger on AliExpress (the link is above). I dont see any reason that the charger won't work in Israel specifically. I have the global version of Mi 9, with Android 9 and MIUI 10.2.
Hope this information helps you understand the problem, and Thanks for the reply.
Try to use aida 64 and see battery , check if it says the same as ampere.
The best way to check is to empty your phone battery and checking the charging time. That's the most accurate way.
When you connect the charger is it shows CHARGE TURBO on screen and CHARGING RAPIDLY on lockscreen ?
Cause im using Original 27W charger from xiaomi and its like a monster in speed of charge
Do you actually need really fast charging?
Fast charging reduces the lifespan of batteries quite a lot, so if you're charging overnight (or similar) charging at a slow rate is better for the phone.
Also remember that charge speed changes throughout the charge cycle.... You would need to check mah with both charges at same battery percentage.

The strange thing is that i get the "Charge Turbo" icon when i charge on 18W charger, but on the 27W charger i get only the "Quick Charge" icon.

Did you consider your charger may be counterfeit? It's a possibility since you bought it from AliExpress.
My 27w charger comes from Xiaomi directly and it's working just fine. It charges up my mi9 at 4200mAh and when plugged in my phone display turbo charge.

I just connected my phone to a 18w quick charge 3.0 charger and my phone display quick charge and not turbo charge. It charges my phone at around 3000mAh.

I'm talking about the charge rate not the battery capacity. See above screenshot.

When I buy from AliExpress I check how old is the store. Last time I came across a seller on AliExpress who was selling the new Xiaomi 20w wireless car charger he claimed to have in stock while all the other reputable sellers had it in pre-order, so I found that strange. Did a bit of digging and realized the seller opened his store on AliExpress only few days ago. It was definitely a scam, he was going to cash in the money and disappear.
Check for how long the store have been around, only buy from shops with 98%* positive reviews. Also prefer stores labeled as top brands by AliExpress (you can see that next to the store name)
For a particular product I look at the feedbacks, people post pictures, I've seen people posting pictures of their phone charging with the charger they bought and you can see the turbo charge mention, at that point you're pretty safe to order from that vendor.
Based on my experience on AliExpress that one looks legit. (however do your checks yourself and I can't be hold responsible if you receive a counterfeit)
Original Xiaomi Wireless Charger 20W Max For Mi 9 (20W) MIX 2S / 3 (10W) Qi EPP Compatible Cellphone (5W) Multiple Safe

I also compare the product specifications against the ones provided by the manufactures. If I see anything that doesn't match up I don't order from that seller. For example I've bought phones from AliExpress in the past and I've come across phones claimed to be global but when you looked at the LTE bands, it was the bands of the Chinese phone.
So yeah that's pretty much my process time consuming but hey I don't want to end up paying for a fake product.

The thing is, i did all of that. The store i bought from is open for 3 years, have 97% positive reviews and more than 400 People bought this item before me and gave it 4.7 rating. It looked very trustworthy, that's why i don't know which seller i can trust now with this item. I'm looking for someone who bought this charger and can recommend the seller he bought from.
And btw, the link you gave doesn't work.

I checked my link just right now and it works.
Well if you think you have a genuine charger maybe the issue comes from your phone. Have you flashed a custom rom or something? Unlocked bootloader, installed twrp? Maybe these modification can deactivate turbo charge? There are so many variables. Back in the days when I used to flash customs roms and modify my phones to install new features I would always get unexpected glitches. I stopped all of that and keep my phones as they were intended to be now and everything works just fine.
Could be your cable too make sure you use the one that came with the charger, it's also possible the cable is faulty so maybe try to buy a quality cable that can handle turbo charge (ugreen cables works with my 27w charger)
Anyway there's like dozen of things to troubleshoot, I'll leave it to you, I hope I helped a little bit.

If your 27w charger is not coming from chinese mi 9 version nor 20w wireless charger BUNDLED with 27w adapter (see box packaging in attachment), im sure its counterfeit. It will not get over 3000ma in ampere app. The original one can surpass over 4000ma
That charger lacks the certification for use in the EU as it has no CE mark on it. That is the reason why it is not on sale here in Europe. The charger that comes with the phone has the CE logo on it, so it is at least tested to comply with our safety regulations.
If it was good to use, it would already been certified here since the standard one is, so there may be issues with it.
