TouchWiz seems to place a randomly coloured square background to non-stock icons, sometimes with a pattern. Is it somehow possible to have the same effects when using ADW or LP? I don't like TW itself too much but adore the iPhone style icon effect.
It should automatically apply hockey's icon effect (see themes & apps section) ;-)

Hi, have you managed to get those icons working with ADW or LP? If so could you share how you did it?
I am also interested.
Hey guys,
I'm using Unicon for theming my icons with other icon packs.
Everything is working fine, except the phone and contacts icons which strangely won't get changed, although there are alternate icons in the icon packs.
Any ideas why they won't change or a workaround?
Good Morning,
2 weeks ago I got a One Plus One. On that thing is CyanogenMod installed.
The following icon sets are installed:
Hexo Icon Pack (looks like Windows 8)
Holo (Seems to be Android Stock)
In the default launcher I can switch between that icon sets.
Now I've installed Yandex Shell (my favourite launcher) and get for some reasons only the Hexo Icons, even if I select / install a different icon pack. The Hexo icons are only used by some pre-installed standard applications:
AudioFX
Screen recording
Design Gallery
Downloads
Email
Settings
Gallery
Camera
Contacts
Calculator
SMS / MMS
Sound recorder
Telephone
Clock
All apps, I had installed by myself show their regular icon.
I really, really hate the Windows 8 design and would like to change the icon set, but any setting to change the icon set seems to be ignored by the Yandex Shell.
Any ideas, how to ged rid of the Hexo icons?
Ok, found a solution.
I just deinstalled the Hexo Icon Pack with Titanium Backup. Now I get the standard Holo icons. I'm happy with that.
Hey!
The mobile data icon in the status bar is always white, never turns dark on apps like Google calendar etc. This applies to sim 1 and sim 2. Now I flashed a custom ROM (stock based) radium Redefined and the bug is still there. Even layers can't theme those icons. Can you tell me why this happens? Is there a way to fix it?
It is not only on Google calendar app, the bug is always present, no matter what app I use (that turns icons dark or changes them like a layers theme)
Thanks in advance!
Hello
Since a few days, my calendar and clock icon does not stay up to date/hour anymore on my home screen.
I'm using Nova Launcher.
When I switch to default Samsung launcher, the icons show the current date or clock.
Any suggestions why they don't update any more?

I don't understand what icon you are writing about in Nova Launcher.
Show a screenshot.
The clock and calender icon.
Open the list of applications, hold the icon of an application for a while and drag it to that desktop you want.
Sorry, maybe I was not clear enough.
The calendar icon always showed the actual date in its icon.
Also the clock icon always showed the actual time in the icon. Now both are stuck/do not update any more.
The nova launcher had an update a long time ago. Look for recent Samsung app updates, delete their data and uninstall the updates (probably clock and calendar).
I deleted data and cache, even reinstalled Nova Launcher. The clock and calendar icons still do not dynamically update. I ended up deleting Nova Launcher and using Samsung default Launcher.

I only noticed this myself a few days ago but the clock app icon shows the correct time in the app draw... kinda cool but also a pointless waste of resources.
I'm having the same issue with Nova Launcher on an S23+. The clock and calendar icons are no longer dynamic.
