Screen gets unlocked without providing finger print or pattern - Zuk Z1 General

It seems there is issue in Lenevo Zuk Z1. Screen gets unlocked without providing finger print or pattern. Whenever I receive any notification from any application and it gets showed in locked screen. So, if I swipe the notification to remove it and just move my finger from bottom to up or right to left screen gets unlocked without proving any finger print or pattern or password. Any body else facing the same issue..?

Click to collapse
maybe you have enabled smart lock? try to check it on the security settings.

why do I have to scan my finger twice to unlock?

Hello,
I bought the Moto X4 through Amazon with the Ads and latter hated seeing them so I paid for the difference to get them off. I issue is that Everytime I unlock the using the fingerprint sensor I it just takes me to my lock screen and then I have to swipe up or I have to use my fingerprint again to take to my home screen. It did the same thing while I had the Amazon Ads i always had to do it twice to unlock my device completely.
Does any body else have that issue or is there a way for it to be just on scan and take me directly to my home screen?
I'm on the Android One version on Project Fi, and that is not how mine works. While the screen is off, I press my finger on the sensor, and it bypasses the lock screen to open my phone immediately. Works the same with both fingers I have added.
The G5 Plus had a faster fingerprint sensor.
Is there any way to use my fingerprint scanner only once and directly take me to the home screen instead of the lock screen?
Mine works like that. Just touch it and unlock directly to the home screen. Idk why your didn't. Try to remove fingerprint unlock and set it again. Must work like it should.
My guess is that this is a behavior of the Amazon version that shows ads on the lock-screen, so they have to force you to take an extra step so you actually see the ads.

Samsung note 5 N920c finger print not working when backlight is off.

Just got a 2nd hand sm n920c amd still in 6.0 no otw update availble, and its kinda annoying that i cant unlock the phone by just the finger print scanner. I mean. For you to unlock the phone using finger print scanner, you must first press the power button then place your finger in the scanner. If im not mistaken. It should unlock the phone just by placing your finger in the scanner. Im feeling that its an issue with the software because its working after pressing the power or the home button. Any help would be highly appreciated. And also when i press the power button to unlock the phone lines are showing up. Just like when you first turn your tv on, you will see colored lines.
You need to turn screen on first to unlock your phone with finger print... Work like this way on Note 5
Tip: You can turn screen on by pressing Home button with your finger on it... it will unlock "faster"

9.0.6 allows you to bypass lockscreen security

I have my phone set to lock when I turn the screen off with the power button. After updating to 9.0.6 I can just swipe up on the lockscreen without showing my face or touching the fingerprint sensor. About 25% of the time it also shows my home screen under the lockscreen before unlocking.
Oh nevermind, it's was smartlock keeping the phone unlocked. Sorry. Pls delete
This reminds me of the time I thought the finger print reader was working through my gloves. Turns out it was face unlock barly seeing me at the edge of it's field of view

Fingerprint unlock any finger

I just factory reset my P10 on the newest pie version and noticed a concerning thing. When I enrolled just one finger print ex thumb then tried to unlock with any of my other fingers I world get a vibration of failure but if I kept on doing it quickly I could get access to my phone. I did get my wife to try the same method and she was unable to unlock phone. I tried the identify finger print in the setup menu and it identifies it correctly and will not see a non enrolled fingerprint as one that's enrolled. This is a somewhat concerning thing to me. Just wondering if others have had the same experience.
If it unlocks to you but not to your wife (same phone?), don't you maybe have your face registered for Face unlock - so it recognizes your face (not finger) and unlocks
Also, check Smart (un)Lock settings, it maybe unlocks based on trusted BT devices (or trusted places)
Good call. I guess tapping the finger sensor that many times wakes the device but not screen. I had to turn the screen almost sideways to make sure face unlock didn't see me tested then all worked correctly.

How To Guide Making the fingerprint sensor more reliable

I have noticed that the fingerprint sensor on this phone is such a piece of ****. After enrolling my fingerprints as usual, the dumb thing unlocked like twice out of ten tries, it made me so mad. This is what I did to get it to work decently.
When enrolling your fingerprint, make sure to
- don't press on the screen, place it as delicate as an angel's kiss
- try to get as many angles as possible, even following the animation when angling your finger
- also try to get it to record your finger perpendicular to the sensor like in this emoji
When unlocking, make sure to
- Try to center your finger as much as possible with the white circle on the display
- If it doesn't unlock right away, keep your finger there for a couple of seconds. Sometimes it does not unlock immediately
Enroll your main unlock finger twice! This is very important to get it to record as much info on each fingerprint as possible. My thumbs are my main unlocking fingers so I enrolled each one twice. Another trick that helped me was to enroll one finger in normal phone holding position, and the other one in more unusual positions like upside down, with the phone flat on a table, and so on). This wasted 4 out of 5 slots though, only one slot is left for a backup finger.
If you apply a screen protector, delete all your fingerprints and enroll them again using the aforementioned tricks.
After doing this it's almost as reliable as a normal fingerprint scanner. Reliability improved from 2\10 to 8\10.
