Is there a way to remove text message history from contacts?

Hi all, new to the Diamond, can anyone tell me why when i send a text message it appears in my inbox as well as my sent items? Is there any way to stop these messages showing in the inbox?

Hi does anyone know of a way to print text messages off a N1? for example receiving and sending text message conversations between one person? and that it will show the date and time as well if possible of the messages? thnx
I use SMS Backup+ which saves all my messages to the SMS folder in gmail and thread-views by contact.
Cloud Print.
Just flashed Fusion VIII. Tried to restore texts from a txt file (SMS backup app). No texts show up. I had my friend text me, the notification comes up but my text inbox is empty.
However, if I use handcent all my texts are there.
Any ideas?
did you reboot? this can be very magical...
Keep deleting my friends text cant get text from him anything him.... One vibrate and deleted when I text... When go him via my contacts there is no text at all and even when I sent it to him it vanishes

I'm trying to write a simple Tasker tasks that will trigger when I send a text message to a certain contact. What I'd like you to do is take the content of that text message and send it to their various other messaging platforms such as signal WhatsApp excetera. Problem I'm having is that you can send texts to those messages but it's hard to send a text message within the context of a certain application. So if I send a text message to Signal then I want to send the same text message through WhatsApp it's doesn't seem to be possible? What am I missing?
