Follow below steps to boot into stock recovery : - Switch off your phone - Press Power button Volume Up simultaneously - Select Recovery mode [VOLUME_UP to select.VOLUME_DOWN is OK] - Wait for Device logo and then a Dead Android with Test "No Command" - Now hold Power then tap Volume up (in that order only) and leave it. - Congratulation! You are now in the stock recovery Code: Installation Instructions : - Download the appropriate OTA for your device - Place the OTA zip to your sdcard - Reboot to stock/custom recovery - Make a backup (just in case) - Perform a Factory reset.. Wipe data, dalvik, cache and system (recommended) - Locate the file and install - Reboot... It may take about 10-15 minutes so be patient Code: Follow below steps to boot into stock recovery : - Switch off your phone - Press Power button Volume Up simultaneously - Select Recovery mode [VOLUME_UP to select.VOLUME_DOWN is OK] - Wait for Device logo and then a Dead Android with Test "No Command" - Now hold Power then tap Volume up (in that order only) and leave it. - Congratulation! My phone is rooted, how can I install this OTA?
Just install this recovery Here
Next, download appropriate OTA zip, reboot recovery > Choose advanced >choose ota installer > choose install zip> locate downloaded ota Zip >swipe to confirm flash >wait, let it install Voila! After successful installation hit reboot!
I had modified my system, such as build.prop and other sound mods, will it affect / broke ota installation?
Yep. It'll will broke the installation process, since you've modified the build prop and system, it'll surely give you error, so I'm requesting you to please roll back to stock build prop from here
https://goo.gl/0b782s and Uninstall if you've any sound mods installed, then attempt the installation, it's gonna update successfully!
Note=This method works with systemless as well as system mode root, you can flash this ota over custom kernel too.
I've xposed and Layers theme installed, how can I successfully install this OTA?
FYI, just Uninstall xposed framework & layers theme, then apply OTA, it's gonna install successfully!
How can i re-root my devices, after installation of ota zip?
Yes, just reboot after installation of Official ota, after a successful boot, again boot back into that twrp recovery, simply flash custom boot image [custom kernel] followed by Super su 2.50 zip, wipe dalvik/Art [IF YOU wish] reboot. Done!
Note>>Flash this MOB30N OTA zip Over MOB30G only!

Yo, no need to wait for universal OTAS!
Just download any Sprout_4 ota zip if you're using a Sprout_4, or download sprout8 ota if you're using sprout8, then check my 2nd post, download that twrp, go to ota installer, choose install zip, locate zip wait let it install, after that reboot!
Added links for Full stock Roms.
Added links for Stock MOB30N boot image.
Added links for Stock MOB30N Recovery.
Deleted!

I'm not sure if the stock ota can be flashed as I have modified the stock rom and removed couple of stock apps. I think it will give error 7 while flashing with twrp. I'll try now to confirm. Downloading the ota.
Edit: It worked. It seems the new recovery patch the OTA for easy installation. Thank you again.

Yes, you've to try with New recovery which can bypass Error 7 while flashing June Security patch Aka MOB30N, I've edited my #2 where you could find link for That twrp by 1cefire!
Nice, it worked with even TWRP_3.0.1-x_sprout, but error 7 found due to Google added assert command Within updater-script, so he made that twrp in order to fix that error 7.
Infact just reboot your device even after error 7, it'll still get updated with latest patch since the patching progress is already done.
unable to update
The twrp ota installer says successfully updated and the phone boots up properly.
But when i check in about phone it still shows:
Android security patch level : 1 May 2016
Build no : MOB3OG
flashed aq4502 ota zip from the link above.
I had already uninstalled xposed and layers.
edit1: after trying again i get the following message..
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/by-name/system at /system: Device or resource busy
script succeeded : result was [/system]
edit2: In mounts, I mounted system partition and ticked read only.
Now i have successfully updated to june ota.
Thanks

Nice to learn new ways to flash otas. I keep the device with minimum Google apps, removed almost every stock app. So that's why I used to flash universal otas so to avoid the error 7. I was not aware that icefire updated twrp for otas script. It's been a long time to see him online. Hope he is well.
I also lost interest in roms and stuff and moved to iPhone. This is just a backup ph to stay updated with what's going on with Google OS. See you next month! Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate it.

Locate the file and install
Reboot... It will take about 10-15 minutes so be patient
Frequently Asked Questions :
1. Are they both compatible with my device?
Yes, as long as you are using an Android One first generation..
No need to unlock or re-lock bootloader
Install via custom recovery only
2. Will I still be able to recieve the official OTA updates in the near future?
Yes, as long as you have installed the default Stock ROM version for your device.
If you had installed Sprout4 over an Sprout8 device, the official OTA will fail due to mismatched signatures.
As long as you've never rooted and flash a custom recovery.
In case you have rooted your device, all you need to do is reflash the ROM when a new ota arrives and you'll be fine
3. Do I need to Wipe my Data and cache partitions before flashing the ROM?
Installing a sprout4 stock rom over an sprout4, no need to wipe anything.
Otherwise, if you flashed sprout4 over an sprout8 rom, you have to do a clean install.
Sprout4 to Sprout4 = No need to wipe data, cache partition
Sprout8 to Sprout8 = No need to wipe data, cache partition
Sprout4 to Sprout8 = Need to do a clean install, wipe data,cache,system
Sprout8 to Sprout4 = Need to do a clean install, wipe data,cache,system
If you are having apps FCs, try clearing the app data of the affected app, or try hard reset.
If all else fail, do a clean install.
4. How to install Stock ROM over a Custom ROM?
Backup your current ROM (just in case)
Its a Stock ROM, no need to downgrade or unroot your device
Install it like how you install your preferred Custom ROM for the first time
Do a clean install by wiping data, dalvik, cache and system
5. Got stuck with "Patching system image unconditionally"?
It might be a bad download
Always verify the hash prior to installation (check the howto verify the MD5sum below)
Wipe the system partition just in case
6. Why was my Custom Recovery perished?
If you flash the Stock ROMS using Philz Recovery 6.57.9. Your device will reverted back to Pure Stock including the Stock Recovery.
How to avoid this? If you have access to Aroma Filemanager using Philz, rename /system/bin/install-recovery.sh and /recovery-from-boot.p or flash superSU before rebooting your device.
Or simply use TWRP, prior to flashing the Stock ROM.
Just go back to Philz soon after the boot process was over if you wish to.
I prefer not to rename install-recovery.sh by default to give users an option to go back to stock recovery without providing a separate image of it.
7. For users who are having Irregular data connection and phone shows 'Emergency Calls Only'.
Go to Settings>More>Cellular networks>Access Point Name> then select the correct apn for your carrier.
If the problem still exists, go to Settings>More>Cellular network>Network Operator> then select the correct carrier.
WARNING!!!! PLEASE READ...
By installing the rom via philz recovery, android will automatically restore the stock recovery... Its a good thing for users who wants to go back to pure google stock rom.
WORKAROUND: If you wish to keep a Custom Recovery, and have access to Aroma Filemanager via Philz recovery, just rename /system/bin/install-recovery.sh and /recovery-from-boot.p, or simply flash superSU before rebooting your device.
I prefer not to rename install-recovery.sh by default to give users an option to go back to stock recovery without providing a separate image of it.
The simplest method to retain a custom recovery is to use TWRP prior to installation
Then flash Philz soon after the boot process was over if you wish to.
So basically.....
If you wish to be on Pure Stock with Stock Recovery... install it with Philz (CWM).
If you wish to be on Pure Stock and keep a Custom Recovery... install it with TWRP.
Recommended Recoveries
TWRP (SPROUT ALL) with Logo and OEM backup partition support
TWRP Materialize (SPROUT ALL)
TWRP Official (SPROUT4 ONLY)
Philz Recovery (Sprout ALL) flash this if you wish to go back to Philz Recovery
Stock Recovery (Sprout)
How to Root my device?
Just flash SuperSU with a custom recovery..
Or follow varuns rooting guide

How to Verify the MD5 signature?
If you are running Windows just download HashTabs and install. Right click on the downloaded file then click properties and look for "FILE HASHES" tab, verify if md5 hash are the same. On unix based system just execute this line in the terminal "md5sum SPROUT4-STOCK-ROM-LMY47V.zip". On your phone, just use ES explorer and then click properties then tap "Show Checksum" then compare the md5 hash. If the file hashes are identical you are good to go, Otherwise, redownload the file again due to bad probably.

it might work with locked bootloader, but it might not work with stock recovery. This ROM was based on Sparkle V OTA LMY47O + OTA LMY47V, 99% is unmodified except the updater-script to make the OTA fuse together and universal. So i am 100% sure it would work if you flash it thru custom recovery.

Which ota did you flash? factory reset might work. You have to unroot first before you flash any 11mb ota. If all else fail you could try the stock rom for SPROUT8 above, already updated to 5.1.1 and compatible with all sprout8 device such as mito impact. Just flash it thru custom recovery.

If you can't open the file It was probably corrupt. Read back to post #5 and try to verify the md5 hash. I was running cm 12.1 before, and currently running SPROUT8 on my 4gb variant Myphone UNO... running smooth without any hiccups... If the hash is not identical, try redownloading the file. I guess what you saw was stock recovery. But the strange thing is this ROM does not include stock recovery. Are you sure you flashed the same ROM? maybe you flash a different one? This ROM is basically the same official OTA LMY47O from this thread and the official OTA LMY47V. I have flashed both ROMS a couple of times without problems... Anyhow, if you want to go back to custom recovery just install another one thru fastboot, allinonetools, flashify and so forth
Here's a proof... Only Boot.img (kernel) and System partition + OTA LMY47V are included

Did you flash the OTA LMY47O from 4gb variants before? Or are you using custom recovery? The best way is to Join Mito Impact a10 FB group and ask them if they have Official Ota LMY47V for mito, just flash it with stock recovery once you have the official ota. If it fails to flash, try factory reset then flash the official ota again. If all else fail, just flash a custom recovery with fastboot method without rooting your device, then flash the SPROUT8 version in the OP.

Error 7 is usually cause of modified system files. Did you removed some system apps or installed xposed framework? If yes, the easiest way to install the ota is flash the full rom. The universal ota is already available which can be flashed in any Android one (Sprout 4) phone.
You can download the files from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64733678&postcount=238
Faced the same problem.
I was on stock rom with twrp. Flashed thunderzap 3.5 kernal and then Super Su. No other modifications was done on my side(no system app remove and no xposed). Tried flashing 6.0.1 ota. Failed. So I think that's the kernal problem. I'm not sure though. Do we require original kernal for flashing ota in mm...
Edit update. I was wrong. Tried flashing 6.0.1 ota with official kernal too. Failed again with twrp. Then flashed with cwm, again failed error code 7 again. Let me try it with official recovery. Wait for results...

Found the problem. It is related to the user release keys and build props. Our phone should have 6.0/MRA58N or M. But it has 4.4.4/KPW53 user release keys. See the attachment. So I searched Google. See this forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/failed-zip-update-instalation-via-twrp-t3137841
It is for one plus one. But they faced the same issue. Any solution found please report.
Found the solution.

Ota doesn't install because the recovery have wrong fingerprint of build no. The solution is very simple. Reflash 6.0 ota and do clean install. Don't flash recoevery or kernal. Now your default recovery os changed to stock again. Now download next mra58n ota. Don't download universal ota's as they might fail via stock recovery. Download device specific ota's.
And now if your build no. is mra58n then you can flash 6.0.1 ota file (75.6mb). Screenshots of successful install attached after facing same problem. Now on stock with jan patch installed too..

Then install that full stock rom zip, hit reboot key after installation!
Note>>Flash this MOB30W OTA zip Over MOB30Q only!

Yo my man, just do this if you wanna fall back to Google stock Rom!
1. Download full stock rom [ Look OP for link]
2. Reboot into recovery [Twrp / philz]
3. If you're using twrp then, go to wipe - > Advanced wipe >Choose all except SD card> swipe to wipe. In case if you're running philz, choose *Clean to install new rom, then flash zip.
4. Once the wipe done, now go back, and choose install zip > choose the stock rom MOB30W Zip where you keep on your SD, then swipe to install > wait few minutes, after completion of installing zip, tap reboot!
Voila done! :3 Now you're on full stock MOB30W with August security patch.

Hi everyone,
We appreciate everyone’s feedback from the OxygenOS Open Beta 8. With your help, we have optimized and improved several key areas.
The changes include:
Added Expanded Screenshots
Shelf Design Optimizations
General UI Optimizations
DPI Optimizations
Battery Performance Optimizations
Stability and Performance Optimizations
General bug fixes
Please visit the download page here:
http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3/oneplus_3_oxygenos_openbeta_9/
If you’ve already flashed a previous Open Beta build, you will receive this update via OTA. If you haven’t, you will need to flash this build by ADB sideload. Your data may transfer, but there is always a possibility of losing personal data, so be sure to backup all of your important data before flashing this build. As stated before, once you flash the Open Beta, you’ll continue getting Open Beta OTAs.
Please follow the link below for the UI/UX experience survey. We’d really appreciate a few minutes of your time, as it will help us make OxygenOS even better. One last thing: this is a limited program, so we may disable this download link once we receive enough feedback.
- Feedback on UI/UX: https://goo.gl/forms/hEqMPq9U9QNrxvhc2
Note: If you flash this Open Beta build, you’ll receive Open Beta OTAs (but not official OTAs). You’ll need to manually (clean) flash back to our official builds to continue receiving official OTAs. Rolling back to official OxygenOS versions require wiping data and cache.
Thank you for your patience and as always, we look forward to hearing your continued feedback in the bug reporting forum here: https://forums.oneplus.net/feedback/.
Thank you for helping us build a better OxygenOS.
Never settle.
Installation Methods
Before we start:This method is only for the OnePlus 3
Follow the steps correctly otherwise you may brick your device. I am not responsible for any damage to your device, please ensure that your device is at least 60% charged to prevent the accidental shutdown in-between the update process.
Downloads:
Beta 9 Full Zip Official Download
Compatible Stock Recovery
********************* For Stock Non Rooted Users with Stock Recovery *****************
1. Download the appropriate OTA/Full Zip from above link and place it in the root folder.
2. Navigate to Settings > System Updates > Settings Icon > Local Upgrade & Select the OTA File
3. Once selected system would prompt upgrade now
4. Select upgrade now and system would reboot in stock recovery and flash the OTA
5. The installer would itself flash the OTA and reboot the device.
The Device will reboot and your OnePlus 3 is now running on the latest OxygenOS firmware & OS.
PS: The first boot may take some time so keep calm and wait for it to boot.
* After flash is successful go back to recovery and a wipe of cache is recommended.
* If in any case flash is unsuccessful the system would prompt you to download the full 1.4GB zip. So download that and follow the same process as above.
************************ For Rooted Users with TWRP Recovery ************************
Download Beta 9 Full Zip
1. Download the Beta 9 Full Zip on your phone internal memory.
2. Download the Latest SuperSU SR5
4. Reboot To TWRP (Modified 28) & Take a Nandroid of your existing ROM
5. Go to Wipe > Advance Wipe > Select Dalvik & Cache & Swipe to Wipe
6. Install Menu > Select Beta 9 Rom Zip > Swipe to Flash
7. Wipe Dalvik & Cache
8. Flash SuperSU to maintain root
9. Reboot System and Enjoy the Beta 9 Update
* Do not flash Xposed as not compatible with 7.0 builds yet
If you come from a custom rom, i recommend a clean flash and make sure you use the modified TWRP 3.0.2-1.28 as the official one is incompatible with the CB firmware yet.
PS: The first boot may take some time so keep calm and wait for it to boot and the system would boot twice due to flash of supersu so keep calm
PS: Rooted users may either flash the full Beta 9 Zip or they need to flash the previous full zip beta 8 first to overwrite system partition followed by the relevant Beta 9 OTA zip for a successful flash else just the OTA flash would fail with error 7 in TWRP

Try reflashing TWRP recovery via fastboot and then flash open beta 9(not the ota)

Copy it onto your phone with the this Open Beta 9 package.

Flash the Open Beta and clean the caches if asked.
Flash the original recovery from TWRP as recovery image, and restart your phone afterwards.
Your phone may boot into the new recovery, then show "Update failed", then do another restart, but after that mine was working.

Will modified twrp also not work?

As simple as this
Dirty flashed over OB8, everything working fine!
Edit:
Using Modified TWRP
Dirty flashed over OB8, so far no issue's.
Did flash TWRP img after update in TWRP (just to be sure), first boot took a while tho.
Anyone tried supersu?
I have this from yesterday. I was on 3.2.8 from OnePlus site, dated 12.05.16.
Clean flash with TWRP 3.0.2-1.28, thanks to eng_stk. Flash the rom & SuperSU SR5 (if you want root). Refalsh recovery 3.0.2-1.28. Reboot to recovery. If it not works reflash recovery.
Then reboot to system.
I did not flash any mods. All it's ok.

Yep. Just make sure to have the full update and not the OTA one. Also, just in case make sure you have the TWRP img and super-su on your phone's memory to be able to flash them again
Any mirror for this? Full zip is downloading really slow and I've already stucked on twrp after OTA Need to dirty flash the full zip, but it is going to dowload around Christmas with that speed...

If you want to use partial OTAs, you must first flash the full OxygenOS zip that it applies to, and then flash the partial OTA from stock recovery. Flashing partial OTAs from TWRP will either fail or soft brick your device. You can return to a usable state by flashing a full zip in recovery.
FLASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Download the necessary files from the section above and follow the steps below:
Note: Dirty flashing is fine if you are running an old OxygenOS version or a ROM based on OxygenOS. If you are, however, coming from a Custom ROM, you must clean flash.
For Non-Rooted Users with a Locked Bootloader and Stock Recovery:
Download the full zip/incremental OTA from the downloads section above and place it in the root of your internal memory
Reboot to stock recovery > Shutdown device > Press Volume Down + Power buttons together
Select language > Install menu > Install from internal > Select the full zip > Flash
After a successful flash > Wipe cache
Reboot
Note: First boot may take some time, so please be patient and wait for it to boot.
[Dirty Flash] For Users with an Unlocked Bootloader and TWRP Recovery coming from H2OS/OOS:
Download the full ROM zip from the downloads section above
Transfer the zip to the root of your device's internal storage
Only needed if you are using a TWRP that does not ignore the compatibility.zip check: Remove the compatibility.zip from the downloaded full ROM zip with either MiXplorer or Total Commander (not with any other tool!) on your device itself
Reboot to TWRP and take a nandroid backup of your existing ROM
Flash Magisk Uninstaller (recommended)
From the TWRP menu, Wipe > Advanced wipe > Select dalvik-cache and cache > Swipe to wipe
From the TWRP menu, Install > Select full ROM zip > Swipe to flash
Flash the latest stable Magisk in case you want to root
From the TWRP menu, Wipe > Advanced wipe > Select dalvik-cache and cache > Swipe to wipe
If you were decrypted earlier, flash xXx No Verity 4.0.zip from here
Reboot
Note: First boot may take some time, so please be patient and wait for it to boot.
Warning: Dirty flashing (update) can be risky! Remember that if you face issues after dirty flashing, you will have to clean flash.
[Clean Flash] For Users with an Unlocked Bootloader and TWRP Recovery:
Download the full ROM zip from the downloads section above
Transfer the zip to the root of your device's internal storage
Only needed if you are using a TWRP that does not ignore the compatibility.zip check: Remove the compatibility.zip from the downloaded full ROM zip with either MiXplorer or Total Commander (not with any other tool!) on your device itself
Reboot to TWRP and take a nandroid backup of your existing ROM
Flash Magisk Uninstaller (recommended)
From the TWRP menu, Wipe > Advanced wipe > Select dalvik-cache, cache, system, vendor and data> Swipe to wipe
From the TWRP menu, Install > Select full ROM zip (modified one with compatibility.zip removed, in case you're on Oreo or unmodified one, in case you're on Pie) > Swipe to flash
Flash the latest stable Magisk in case you want to root
From the TWRP menu, Wipe > Advanced wipe > Select dalvik-cache and cache > Swipe to wipe
Optional: If you wish to decrypt, format data via TWRP (please note that wiping the data partition, which we did in the 5th step above, is not the same as formatting it) and after that flash xXx No Verity 4.0.zip from here
Reboot
Note: First boot may take some time, so please be patient and wait for it to boot.
Never Settle.

Hey buddy,
Appreciate you're busy with this and there will be installation instructions as well but was wondering if this will be flashable over 4.5.1 stock ROM witu ElementalX kernel installed or if we will have to revert back to full stock and update that way?
Sorry, first time one OnePlus and each manufacturer / ROM scene has a slightly different way of approaching things.

Just got my OTA update ^^
Me too. No noticeable differences I can see, e.g. my 5Ghz WLAN ist still 3 times slower than my 2.4GHz one.

Hey buddy, it will be a flashable zip, i am trying to upload full zip which will be a TWRP flashable zip as i am also a rooted user. You don't need to go back to stock as it will be a dirty flash
All you do is download the full zip
Reboot to TWRP
Wipe Dalvik & Cache
Flash the Full Zip
Flash Magisk or SuperSU for root
Flash Kernel (Optional)
Reboot System
You would have a working 4.5.2 OS running again with TWRP and EX :highfive:

Awesome,
Not new to flashing but always great to have a guide on a new device. I always try and read twice before flashing once. And back up always, especially in the early days of a device.
Quick question though: would you not need to flash kernel (optional) before root because wouldn't the root zip modify boot.img?

Ideally you are right but this is what i generally follow and it has worked for me.
If you don't mind an extra reboot i recommend just dirty flash the rom and Magisk first and boot into OS, there on you can reboot into recovery and flash the kernel.
Flashing kernel before Magisk gave me problems in the past on the 3T when i used bluspark , as this is the new device and only EX is out yet, please check with @flar2 if he recommends flashing the kernel before the root or after.
If anything goes wrong now we have the full zip so dirty flash and all fine
I wouldn't flash the kernel after this update cos EX will most likely come out with a newer version reflecting the new source. Just noticed this thread, I'm actually uploading the 4.5.2 full zip myself lol, just to help people who get into trouble rooting/TWRP'ing/etc

Yes indeed,
I've seen some ROMs / kernels in the past require a full reboot before coming and installing other things and in the grand scheme of things safe is sorry for the sake of a 1 minute reboot process. Thanks for your hard work. Can't wait for the download link to be supplied.

Do u think we can just unSU or uninstall magisk to proceed to OTA instead of downloading the whole rom? Nothing was done to system anyway.
Edit: Forgot I have flashed twrp...anyway, 1.5gb downloaded
