I'm trying to use KingRoot v4.93 on my Amazon Fire (5th) to get it rooted and I keep encountering, "Network Error Unable to get root strategy from cloud."
I also tried the Windows version and am also encountering a network error.

(can't post a link to the screenshot since it's my first post)
Any ideas? I can (obviously) get to the internet fine..
Thanks
Edit:
Also: I've tried connecting my Fire tablet to a hotspot on my phone (AT&T) and it still shows the same network error.
I've rebooted my Fire tablet several times to no avail. It doesn't seem to be an actual network connection issue of me getting to the internet. Maybe their servers are down or something?
Edit #2:
So I tried this on a different network when I got to work and actually starts the rooting process with percentages shown. It gets to around 30% and then fails and says it doesn't have a root method. I've rebooted a couple times and tried a couple times on KingRoot.
Any ideas?
[SOLVED]
I had previously downgraded from 5.1.3 to 5.1.2 and ran into all these issues. I decided to let it update to 5.1.4 then I downgraded again back to 5.1.2. After that I was able to use KingRoot to root the device and SuperTool to do everything else I needed.
Thanks
you can try VPN, some time county or ISP may cause problem
Kingroot kinda sucks.
Use TWRP, Magisk or KingoRoot.
The reason for this error is because,
Your device has advanced security.
Soft-rooting with KingRoot isn't working. You can use the hard-root method instead.

I have a rooted GT-P6210 that was working perfectly fine and last night I updated Busy Box Free from Google Play. Busy Box Free reported an error with the install and shortly after I noticed that my Wi-Fi would no longer connect. It just reports "Error" after trying to connect to Wi-Fi.
I tried re-rooting my device but that didn't fix my Wi-Fi issues. I researched everywhere I could think of to unroot my device but all the threads seem to refer to guides that I don't see and firmware links that no longer work. I managed to find a copy of Odin3-v3.04 but I still don't have instructions on how to do it nor do I have the firmware that I need.
I decided I would try going back to factory settings by powering off the device and booting into system recovery. I have done a wipe data/factory reset multiple times but Wi-Fi still doesn't work and I don't even know if that removed the root job I did.
When I plug my device into my PC and run Samsung Kies it reports that I have the latest firmware PDA:LA3 / CSC:LA3 (XAR)
So I am stuck and not sure what to do at this point. I have a pretty useless device that won't connect to Wi-Fi. I don't know if I wait around for ICS and install that if it will fix my problem.
Is there anyone that could help me restore my device to factory settings with actual guides, and provide working links to the firmware I would need?
Thanks for your help,
Bryson
You are in the wrong forum.
This is Galaxy Tab 7" not plus.

Got a HTC Dev edition on release. First thing I did was flash CWM recovery with fastboot and rooted.
Everything has been working great until yesterday. I went to test the wifi tether as I am out of town this weekend and need to tether my tablet and laptop to my phone. Ever since, however, I have been unable to access any google services from the phone via wifi or data network. Everything else connects and works fine and I can even tether and use the internet just fine. However the wifi tether options were all grayed out.
So I backed everything up and tried to flash the stock RUU downloaded from HTCdev. Fails with Error 155. I tried flashing stock recovery. RUU still gets error 155. So I did a factory reset from the bootloader and still I am unable to connect to google services. Since its factory fresh I have to add my account but when I try to do so I get the following error "couldn't sign in - Can't establish a reliable connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your Android device may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care." But my data connection is working fine and I can use gmail from a web browser no problem.
I checked the hosts file and its fine (no hard coded ip for google stuff) and I am at a loss of what to do to fix this now. Since factory reset the wifi tether options are all there but my google servies still will not work.
Ok I locked the bootloader then ran the RUU again. Part way through it screwed up gave error 155 again and then all I had was a black screen with !points in triangles in the corner. Restarted the RUU and my phone. Went through the process again and then in completed sucessfully.
So now back into my phone and still I can not connect to google services. gives same "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server" error.
I am at a loss.
Similar Problem
I've got a similar problem.
I was attempting to root my phone, so I unlocked the bootloader and rooted it, with unlocked and tampered now showing up on the bootloader screen. However when i went to restore my settings by signing into google play and dropbox I get the same message, that I cannot connect to the severs. However this only exists in google apps and dropbox as facebook works fine as does the browser!
At a complete loss with this, any help would be much appreciated also!!!!
I've made a bit of progress. If I limit my phone to wcdma then I can get it to work periodically. But it will still give me no connection every now and then. If I play with mobile setting's sui that it disconnects and connects a few times it will start working again for a bit.
I'm starting to wonder if this is an google issue.
Today I received a notification from supersu pro that I needed an update. After it installed it requested a restart. After restart, there was no connection to cell service nor could I turn the radio on in network settings nor were there any settings registered. I was however able to connect using WiFi from my home computer. I was running stock rom with twrp-recovery and OS h81120o for t-mobile. I tried restoring backups by twrp with no radio/network function. I installed
twrp-3.0.2-0-h811.img
android_device_lge_h811-android-5.1.zip
G4-H811-MM-20i-Stock-Debloated-Rooted.zip
G4-H811-MM-20o-Stock-Debloated-Rooted.zip
G4-H811-MM-20o-Stock-Rooted in this order with nothing different working in network connection and radio off. I finally installed LG-H81120i-Flashable.COMPLETE.zip and it said installed successful yet when restarted the phone bricked. No power on, nothing. I received than same notice for my rooted Samsung galaxy tab 4 8.1 and declined it and am still running fine there. Any thoughts?
Hey,
I was in the exact same boat and almost gave up!
Got my LG back from repair and I rooted it then made a back up, everything was working fine. Flashed a new ROM and updated SuperSU, was not able to get a signal or mobile connection after that. IMEI Number was now NULL. I tried factory reset but still nothing can get the network signal back. Even restoring back to my back up did not work.
I read that if you flashed the LG-H81120i-Flashable.COMPLETE.zip you will brick so I avoided that. I finally found the solution and maybe this will work for you.
Download LG UP and your kdz file (H81120o_00_0613.kdz was mine) on your pc.
Set phone into Download mode by pressing volume up and connect to PC.
Open LG UP and load the KDZ path file and run. Phone should reboot and come back. My signal came back after this.
I hope this method works for you.
Best of luck!
Hello,
So my Moto X (1st gen, 2013, XT1058) used to work fine on KitKat but after it auto-updated to Lollipop it started messing up more and more every day. The phone is fully stock and locked. Here's a brief list of problems:
random freezes and crashes of apps and the OS itself
random screen freezes (doesn't respond to touches) or completely blank screen apart from the notification bar, often times nothing help but a reboot
random reboots, "optimizing apps" every so often on boot, especially when on charger
flaky and unreliable WiFi, not connecting when it should or disconnecting at random including when screen goes off (despite having "always on" selected)
GPS would sometimes have difficulty acquiring lock and would lose lock randomly (worked just fine before)
I'm not quite sure what to do at this point. It's the AT&T variant which means the bootloader is not unlockable. It is also updated to the latest OTA (build LPAS23.12-21.7-1) which means no rooting method works, or at least I haven't been able to find any. So I can't get even a temproot. I tried everything I could find, nothing worked and I'm running out of options. I love this phone and I'd like to get it back to working order. I'm wholeheartedly hoping someone here will have some good advice or some resource I haven't tried.
Here's what I tried so far:
multiple factory resets, both from system settings and through recovery
didn't help, works for a while but all the issues reappear soon after
rooting with KingRoot
failed, rooting method not available
rooting using this method
failed (not surprising, it does mention it doesn't work on OTA)
unlocking BL via Moto's official unlock service
device not supported
installing moforoot
failed, mofoverify just quits silently and the phone shows a message about some missing fastboot var
unlocking BL using Sunshine
says the device should be supported but then fails acquiring temproot, the phone just reboots
reflashing stock KitKat from here (file: ATT_XT1058_4.4.4-KXA21.12-L1.26_CFC_1FF.xml.zip) via fastboot
failed, OS/BL downgrade not allowed
reflashing stock Lollipop from here (file: ATT_XT1058_5.1.0_LPAS23.12-21.7-1_cid1_CFC.xml.zip) via fastboot
partial success, managed to flash a few parts, however it fails on all relevant partitions (gpt, boot, system), reports "downgrade not allowed" just like with KitKat which is surprising, this version/build should be exactly the same as what's currently on the phone
wiping userdata and cache via fastboot
didn't help
I might have tried some other things/methods too, this is just what I could remember right now.
Again, I'd very much appreciate if someone could help me revive this phone. I enjoyed using it while it was working well and I'd like to get it back to that state. Any help is very much appreciated.
Cheers!
I'm having exactly the same issues on my wife's moto x. The only thing I've been able to do for a temporary fix is to enter stock recovery and clear cache. Is there really no root/custom rom method for this device?
Hi,
i am currently running the latest stock rom on my Lg g6 (H870) with TWRP and Magisk installed.
Today i flashed the newest Magisk version. All went fine, but now i am not able to connect to any Wifi-Network anymore (mobile data is working).
It seems like all my Wifi passwords got deleted too. Anyway i can't even connect to open networks.
No matter what i do, every time i try to connect to a network it says "No network connection available" ("Keine Netzwerkverbindung verfügbar" in german).
It did not help to reinstall Magisk and TWRP. I also tried the two fixes described here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-wifi-fix-repair-broken-wifi-t3384249
but with no result.
I don't want to reset my phone...
Maybe you can help me. Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance
