Weird, I don't see Google music in my protected apps either. I also haven't had an issue with EMUI killing that app. Have you tried swiping down on the app in the recents menu to keep it from getting killed?

Yeah, it's locked in :good:

Any update on this? I have the same issue on Huawei Honor 7 (PLK-L01). Latest manufacturers ROM (6.0) and EMUI (4.0).

Strange... I can set Google Play Music as protected app

Wtf is this shortcut that keeps popping up.

Seems like every day or so I get this random shortcut as well as a notification to download some app of the day. I can't figure out what's making the notification/shortcut. Any ideas of what it can be? I posted a pic and you can see the shortcut in the middle of my home screen.

That must be an app you have downloaded. Some of them have auto run when android loads, and then they 'push' a notification message (ad) , or put a shortcut on your home screen. I used to have an MP3 Downloader app that did that. There is an app in the market that disables the auto run from these apps but I forgot what it was called.
I figured that was it, just don't know what app it might be.

Download Adpush (I think that's what it's called) and it will scan for spyware-ish apps like that and tell you which one is doing it.

Does anyone else experience maps screwing with their phone?

The image shows 6h20m of usage, my Maps app keeps starting on its own and is keeping my phone awake.
Even after I force close and remove all maps related services.
Does anyone have a solution to this that doesn't involve advanced task killer and the likes?
I'm on CM10, with 4.2.1 gapps.

Just uninstall it or freeze it using Titanium Backup

It didn't have an update when i first checked. I cleared Google play services app data and the play store's app data, then rebooted, and play services had an update. Notification seems to be gone now!
Glad that helped

I had the same problem with LGL90 is fixed
1.Backup the mobile
2.Reset to factory settings
3.Restore from backup whatever you can
The upgrade to Lollipop has problems like memory leaks

I had this problem as well. Not with this app per say but for accessing any Accessibility Services. After googling it I came across the app that was causing the issue via a user on Redditz. The app was Lux & It has something to do with the filters the app applies. Disabling lux remedied the issue
Thx I will disable lux

Anyone try "Alternate Overlay" in the advanced settings of Lux (that may resolve the issue mentioned above)

Spotify on Android Auto

Hello, i cannot get Spotify to show on the Android Auto audio players. Is there a solution? Thanks in advance!
You must have a Spotify premium subscription in order to use it with Android Auto

I do have a premium account and the latest Spotify version.
My android auto version is 4.3.591854.
Can you tell me what are your spotify settings?
I tweaked them but no luck!
I have an older version of Android Auto. I didn't do any special settings, it just works. When I click on the "headphones button" in Android Auto, I see also Spotify in the list of available music apps.
