Hey don't panic. You need a computer for this and mostly you'll lose all the data.
Download Xperifirm : http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...xperifirm-xperia-firmware-downloader-t2834142
Download Flashtool : http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
Download the latest firmware using Xperifirm and flash using Flashtool.
Then try all the steps in this sequence
Unlock Bootloader
Flash this kernel : http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...rnel-ric-disable-twrp-root-dm-verity-t3393219
Flash SuperSU.
Wipe Dalvik/Cache
Now reboot you're good to go.
You said Flashtool is not working right, you probably didn't make the .ftf file correctly
Try this tutorial : http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/03/1...peria-lollipop-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool/

Thanks, its work. Boot folder is what ? In guide is not write, what do I do with the boot directory

I have a question. After OTA remains root, recovery and other adjustments?

Hello, i have 32.2.a.5.11 on E6533, recovery TWRP from bruno$0 on 5.11 firmware. Root is work, but few application ist not remount to RW, eg. Busybox application write this "mount: permission denied (are you root ?) What i need to proceed ?

But when I start the tool at the end of the processing it says 10.3.1.A.0.244 is not supported.
So how can I root it.

Hi, not much i can say, but you need to follow this instruction:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386405
[ how-to ]
Download the three files from the download section below
open FlashTool and flash the XperiaZ_C660X_KernelOnly_10.3.A.0.423_Generic_NL.ftf - 7.12 MB file, this is JUST the kernel of an older firmware which was rootable
now once flashing is done reboot device and connect to PC in usb debuggin mode
CLOSE FLASHTOOL <<< VVVIMP STEP
extract the file DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v18_perf-event-exploit.zip to root directory on c:\
execute runme_ file corresponding to your OS on desktop PC, this will execute a SPECIAL version of my easy rooting toolkit <<< VVVIMP STEP
the above step is crucial! if you use any older version of the toolkit then IT WILL NOT WORK!
after rooting is over the device will restart
you can verify if device is rooted by checking for SuperSU app (it is the newest version)
once thats done now power down device and open FlashTool again
now flash XperiaZ_C660X_KernelOnly_10.3.1.A.0.244_BE.ftf - 7.17 MB file to get back to the true kernel for the firmware
thats it after flashing is done just disconnect and power on device and enjoy rooted phone!

I messed up the whole rooting - HELP!
Hi .. I have done the following:
1) tried some other 1-click softwares before I found this post.
2) unlocked the Bootloader
Now when I used the Flashtool (Emma) it says that there have been modifications to my software and cannot flash
What can I do? Is there a more manual way to flash the kernel to the older version??

If you have unlocked the BL just flash the advanced stock kernel via fastboot & then boot in recovery & flash the su zip that is kicking around for rooting 4.3....
worked for me anyway
The way to root is easy if you read. You downgrade to a 434 kernel with flash tool, run the root and upgrade back again with flash tool, easy. Don't need to unlock or anything.

So do you need put the necessary files inside the flashtool/firmwares folder?
After that:
Open flashmode and select the .423 file and flash it, apply root and after reboot and flash back to.244?

Confirmation on way to root

Can please someone confirm this will work?
1. Downgrade to JB 4.2.2 14.1.G.1.534
2. Install locked dualrecovery 2.7.97 BETA
3. Flash KK 4.4.0 14.3.A.0.681
4. Flash with CWM superSU
I am asking because I read somewhere the following method:
1. Flash KK 4.4.0
2. Unlock bootloader
3. Install CWM thru a very complicated procedure that requires fastboot
4. Flash with CWM supeSU
Now, my question is: since I could install dualrecovery for unlocked bootloader, to avoid ulocking bootloader, why not downgrade, flash dualrecovery, upgrade and flash su?
Can please someone confirm this will work?
1. Downgrade to JB 4.2.2 14.1.G.1.534 (and root it)
1.2 (Backup TA Partition !Important, for the future)
2. Install locked dualrecovery 2.7.97 BETA

4. Flash with CWM superSU

If you're not going to unlock your bootloader then do not do it. you can also backit up when you're running kitkat with root.
But what's the harm? )

I was hoping it would be less complicated...
I still do not understand why I have to root after downgrading...
After all, all I need is a custom recovery to flash superSU, and according to the guide all I need to install a dual recovery is. 534, no need to root it or to unlock it, according to the guide.
So if I do not want to unlock device and I do not care backing up TA, the following should suffice
1. Downgrade to. 534 with flashtool
2. Install dual recovery for unlocked phones
3. Upgrade to kitkat with flashtool using an official ftf
4. Flash superSU with cwm

Because you need root to install recovery

the easiest way imo is to just unlock the bootloader.
flash the kitkat ftf via flashtool as linked below
unlock the bootloader via sonys website http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/

done simple no need for screwing around downgrading ect ect

Just try it, you seem to be wanting extremely specific instructions and questioning everything you are told. Please try following them them asking for help as you go along, you never know, it might just work for you....
There is no need to unlock the bootloader if you downgrade, root, install recovery and flash a pre rooted rom. Please tell me which step of these instructions say "unlock the boot loader"

Also, since I do not have a custom recovery, I guess I will have to flash the kernel via fastboot, whi h will give me the ustom recovery, then flash superSU with the recovery
What do I need flashtool for?

I know I know... all I wanted to say is: eithef I stay on KK and unlo k the bootloader to root, or I do not unlock but have to downgrade etc.
Unlocking at this point seems easier, safer and faster, as I will keep my current rom which works fine
I will do a backup with sony toll and restore afterwards
But once you downgrade, root and install recovery you just flash a pre rooted 4.4 rom... The one from NUT is made from a stock ftf file with the relevant root files added to it. I don't see the issue.
As for unlocking, read the information on the sony website about it. You have to unlock using that site anyway. You will lose warranty and drm keys. However, to be able to lock again you need to back up your TA partition otherwise you lose the drm keys forever. Now to do that you must have root, so you are going to have to downgrade and root anyway

[UB]How To Root 10.6.A.0.454 Lollipop

hi guys
i tested some methods such as prfcreator but none of them worked
i always got boot loops
so the final method that worked was this :
i have c5502 but it will work on c5503 as i tested it on xperia c3 and xperia z
1-flash the complete ftf file
2- flash custom kernel with recovery
i used this one Stock 4.4.4 Kernel with recovery By xenius9
3-copy the ftf file (so u wont damage the original one) in the firmwares folder
4- open the ftf file with winrar and delete every file in it except "rpm.sin" "kernel.sin" "loader.sin" "META-INF" and close winrar
5- copy the attached supersu flashable file into your sdcard (it must be version 2.37 other versions won't work)
6- flash the kernel in fastboot mode
7- enter recovery and flash the supersu
8- go to power option and power off your device
9-flash the ftf file that you copied and edited
now you have root access
update supersu in play store and open it to update su binary
hope this will help
i'm not responsible if you damaged your phone in anyway by doing this method
works so well. tanks got root now. wanted to revert back to custom as i wait for root but thanks to you now i have root
This works on my device, C5502, using US firmware. I have also successfully restored my TA backup after all the steps. Thank you so much!

1. flash firmware(use flashtool)
2. if you have unlocked BL - flash boot.img (w twrp recovery)(use flashtool)
3. if BL is locked - unlock BL(use flashtool)(make ta backup if needed) and go to step 2
4. download and push to sdcard supersu installer

Hi,
I flashed twrp 2.8.5 and rooted SuperSU 2.35.... Phone booted properly. But then I tried going to recovery again, all I could see was no command sign n phone went to boot loop.
I flashed stock rom again as of now. But when I root again, it is going to boot loop... Please help me to root my phone again ..
Is it something to with versions of twrp or SuperSU?

Explanationon how to use Flashtool

Before 7.1.1 came out there was a full explanation on how to use flashtool to flash an ftf file and what files you needed to flash afterwards to gain root and custom recovery.
There was an update on how to do it for OS 7.0.
This thread seems to be gone.
Can somebody show me this thread again?
I'm trying to update to 7.1.1 and with a workaround this should be possible with flashtool but nothing works for me.
When I want to reflash the latest 7.0 flashtool very quickly says it's done, leaving my phone softbricked.
I know I can use sony's flashtool to install 7.1.1 but how to proceed then to gain root, twrp and another kernel, is there some explanation on how to do this or is there something else than flashtool (androxydes or sony's) to flash the firmware?
same problem, someone please tell us..:crying:

If you want to flash 7.1.1 firmwares using Flshtool by Androxyde, since there's still no fsc file for 7.1.1 (41.2.A.X.XXX), so you will encounter a warning message "WARN - No loader found or set manually. Skipping loader."
To solve this problem, first open your Flashtool and wait for it to sync device database.
Second, go to C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\.flashTool\devices\F81XX rename the file "39.fsc" to "41.fsc"
Then Flashtool can flash 7.1.1 firmwares successfully.
NOTICE: Once you closed Flashtool, you need to do things above again.
I just found that Androxyde has uploaded the FSC script 21 hours ago.
So you don't need extra actions now. Just use Flashtool as usual and it may work.
