HI everyone!! I've been rooting galaxy note phones and flashing roms for a few years now but never a note 4 specifically an n910t, and I've been searching for a while how to fix hotspot and fingerprint lock and haven't found anything that works... I'm using Dr. Ketan's rom port s7 edge for the n910t m3 and it's amazingly great!! Everything work flawlessly and I don't want to flash another rom for now but I need hotspot for personal reasons. From the searching that I've been doing it seems that this is a problem in almost all MM roms (correct me if I'm wrong). I just need some help finding a solution for this problem... if someone knows in what direction to point me, any links or basically tell me if it's possible to fix? Thanks in advance!!! Nothing?!

Hello guys.
I have just got my used samsung galaxy tab p1000 to day.
I am very happy with my choice. I am going to use this in
my car.
Anyway i want to root this and try some custom rom for this.
I have downloaded this program: SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse
and i have had 1 connect to samsug kies with it. So i know that
i have the right drivers for windows 7 64 bit. Is this the right software to
root this unnit with?
I have stock android 2.3.3 version (Gingerbread) on now. Do i need to
flash new bootloader? I did read that this was not for Gingerbread but just
for froyo? Is that true?
The reason i am asking all this questions, is because i have already hardbricked
2 samsung galaxy S phones already with my stupidness. So i am thankfull for all help i can get.
I am using Cyanogenmod 7 for my LG optimus 2x at the moment, and i must say i love it. Is there a stable version of this for my tab?
Her is the Tab spec:

When it comes to the overcome rom. I cant see the pictures on the overcome guide on their site.
So i cant see how to setup odin correctly.
Thankyou for your help.

Here's a cached image of the overcome guide.

I think there's a cm 7.2 version for the GT but I haven't tried it. The latest one is CM9 which is still in the beta phase so it still has some bugs and it's not quite suited for daily use. I'd suggest the overcome rom first and go from there once CM9/AOKP get the major bugs taken care of.
Thanks. I am now using overcome rom. Pretty good rom.
I could not find the cyanogenmod 7.2 on their website. Is this just
a Beta version?
Here's the thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=931857&highlight=cyanogen
But if you really want to try a CyanogenMod then I suggest going straight to 9. The install process for cm7 is a lot more complicated than for cm9 and if I'm not mistaken they've stopped updating it.
A friend of mine sent me this image, he has had his Note for some time now and only just recently got an update to 4.0.4 .He bought the note without a carrier so there is nothing extra in it.
However, he's never been able to root the thing.
I have used this site before, ages ago with my pocket PC's and more recently for my HTC Sensation.
I replaced my kernal for a 1.5Ghz overclocked version with mikes ics rom and rooted, and the phone has just been awesome. However a few months back when I did some digging for his note I was unable to find anything on it, and now that its updated I thought i'd give it another shot. However im not sure if the information I need is in the image he sent.

oh, blah, How could i of missed that. Ok thankyou
Question, I assume I want the
N7000ZSLPM---4.0.4/12.07.18-N7000OZSLPM
Is this correct? I note there is nothing that matches the Baseband number.
Also, Honk kong or Taiwan? It was purchased in Australia.
I found my HTC less confusing, even though they are more work

Hi! I am trying to unroot my phone and return all the way to stock.
Problem is that I lost all my backups.
I *think* I am currently on an older version of the FireKat rom.
I just want to completely go back to stock everything and start fresh. Will probably end up rooting and ROM'ing again at some point but for now just want to get on stock everything. Getting bored of my phone and having a lot of little bugs and issues (nothing major) but would like to switch back for a while because I simply just dont have the time to keep up with everything.
So if someone could please just point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Have looked for a guide on how to do it but am not sure if it will work for what I am trying to do.
Thank you very much in advance!

The screenshot above is where my phone currently stand. So what do I do to get from there to stock everything? I am also using several Wanam Xposed mods/tweaks/whatever. Does that effect this process at all?
I am aware of the comment someone left but I have no idea what that is. Any care to help me out and let me know if that applies to my current situation? I really need to get this done tonight. Thank you all!
What I linked to earlier is the thread which contains the stock restore files which you can use to restore your phone to factory fresh official NC2 using Odin. There are several threads linked in the thread I posted which will help you to restore If you aren't familiar with using Odin.

Thank you very much!! So after I do that I will be able to take all the official OTA's without messing anything up correct?
Real quick before I go through with this.. Do I want to ONLY use the 4 files (BL, AP, CP, CSC)? Or do I want to use those 4 files AND the pit file? Sorry for all the questions it has been forever since I did this
You shouldn't have any problems taking OTAs after this process. Unless there are any problems with your partitions, I wouldn't bother with the pit file.

I don't even know exactly what that means so I should be fine haha. Gonna try it now. Thank you very much for the help!
Hi to all!
I've just flashed the Samsung official Marshmallow firmware on my Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE, I took some screenshots in case anyone is interested in seeing it.
I forgot to wipe before flashing with Odin, but all my configurations, apps and accounts seem to have fared just fine in the updated system. I was using SucukROM by @TimurAlaskara_TR and not stock Samsung Lollipop. SuperSU obiously is not working since I've not flashed TWRP yet.
Only app that seems to have problems is Gallery, it works but it gives me an error nearly every time I exit with "back" button.

My Files seemed to have the same problem as Gallery. It appears it's solved just by clearing data of the two apps from applications menu.
any noticeable performance improvement?
Pls share mega download link for this rom. Tq

This is a difficult question, I've had the tablet for less than a month and used very little stock Lollipop, I've mostly been trying custom roms. I would say perhaps some more fluid window opening/closing animation and a little less battery consumption while in use... But I cannot say for sure. I remember that I had a worse general impression of stock Lollipop when I tried.

I do not know, sorry.
It seems like everything is for the Exynos version of this phone. Just got my Note 8 today for a steal practically new for only $100, but the software bloat seems horrible. Just curious if there is any Lineage or Samsung based ROM's that would be a good starting place? All the late reviews in 2019 and here in 2020 says to install an aftermarket ROM on it and you got yourself a great device. Phone details below.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 N950USQS7DTA5 on Sprint in New Mexico USA.

The Sprint store did the factory reset for us, but given that I know my way around these devices I thought I would do my own Factory reset and start from scratch. My last Galaxy phone was the original, so I am sure things have changed since then and wanted to double check with XDA before making any mistakes. Phone currently sits 100% stock.
Any advice on a debloated ROM at the least? Or something else would be great too. Google just sends me here and all I seem to see is N950F devices, but I plan to keep on researching before I flash anything on this device, lol. EDIT: Just saw the US carriers Pie thread too for this device, and that seems to offer a pre-debloated rom.
EDIT: My guess is that there isn't much you can do with this device in the way of custom roms?

Your guess would be correct. The phone is bootloader locked that means no roms like N950F version..

Thank you for the information. Yeah I figured that was the case. Oh well, at least there is a debloated Pie rom. Maybe I can do a somewhat decent job of customizing it. But yeah I was hoping for 3rd party kernels and or LineageOS love. At least it's a better phone than the Motorola G6 that it is replacing, lol. Thanks again...
