How to make your Galaxy S6 look like stock Android:
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Root Access (Go to ChainFire's CF Auto-Root repository and get yourself the cf auto-root .tar.md5 file (Galaxy S6: zeroflte))
2. Custom Recovery (TWRP preferably, but CWM and Philz will work the same)
3. Xposed Framework (Wanam did a very good job by porting Xposed to Samsung Lollipop/Marshmallow)
DOWNLOADS FOR REQUIREMENTS:
Link to CF Auto-Root repository: https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/
Link to latest TWRP version for Galaxy S6: https://dl.twrp.me/zeroflte/twrp-3.0.2-1-zeroflte.img.tar.html
Link to Wanam's Xposed post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
MAKING THE REQUIREMENTS WORK:
HOW TO ROOT YOUR GALAXY S6?
If you have the new Marshmallow 6.0.1 update just download the file and flash it trough Odin, it shouldn't be that hard.
But, if you have older Lollipop versions, please upgrade or the process may be different.
HOW TO INSTALL TWRP ON YOUR GALAXY S6?
The process is the same as rooting your Galaxy S6, just flash the file through Odin.
HOW TO INSTALL XPOSED ON YOUR GALAXY S6?
HUGE THANKS TO WANAM FOR PORTING XPOSED TO LOLLIPOP AND MARSHMALLOW
Now, the process is a little different. Boot in recovery and flash the zip. That's it.
If the phone takes ages to boot, it's normal, it's always like that.
LET'S MAKE SOMETHING OUT OF WHAT WE HAVE!
PART 1. --- INSTALLING GOOD LOCK UI
I'm sure most of your know what Good Lock is, unless you live under a rock.
Ok, I'll explain what it is. It's Samsung's official System UI replacement that looks way more like stock Android when tweaked.
So, how to install it, well, let's begin!
1. Go to: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsun...elease/good-lock-24-0-9-android-apk-download/ and click on the big purple DOWNLOAD button
2. Wait for the app to download and then install it
3. After the installation is done, you'll see a pop-up saying that you need to restart. Click OK
4. That's it for the Good Lock installation, now let's tweak it to look more like stock Android
5. Swipe from top to the bottom to bring up the notification panel, and click on the weird settings in a bubble icon
6. Click on Routines and then select default. That's the routine that we're gonna tweak.
7. Select the second last clock and click next. Select the fourth hexagon on the bottom and find a really dark purple then click next. Deselect all the options it provides you. Click on finish
8. Go back and click Advanced. Disable everything
9. Great. We now have a lighter version of stock notification panel!
THAT'S IT FOR NOW. IN THE POST TOMORROW I'LL MENTION THE HARDEST PART.
Part 2. --- huge debloatation
PART 2. --- HUGE DEBLOATATION
First, you're gonna need Debloater v3.90. You can download it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/debloater-remove-carrier-bloat-t2998294
Then watch a tutorial on YouTube on how to use it properly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7OFGIu1f0I
Then Go ahead and see what apps I removed: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DIJ20q7bTL8ZGZS0ecl2FTxN-JH-t64R_vKM5L0aGAk/edit?usp=sharing
But, before you do anything: DON'T DO IT UNLESS YOU'VE INSTALLED A 3RD PARTY LAUNCHER!!! YOUR DEVICE MAY BE UNUSABLE!!!
So, first go to GPlay Store and install Nova Launcher. Since I bought the Prime version I get extra features (I advise you to do that, it's worth every penny). If you don't own a copy of Nova Launcher Prime, here's a link where you can find it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher.prime&hl=en
When you installed Nova Launcher and Nova Launcher Prime, we can get to work!
PART 2. --- HUGE DEBLOATATION
1. Go to the Google Docs link I provided.
2. Plug in your device and start debloating
3. Done! You can now unplug your device.
4. You may notice some differences, like, MOST OF THE APPS ARE GONE!
THAT'S IT FOR NOW. TODAY AFTERNOON I'LL POST ANOTHER PART!
Part 3. --- tweaking nova
PART 3. --- TWEAKING NOVA
Now that we have Nova Launcher installed, let's tweak it to look like stock Android.
1. Go to Desktop>Desktop grid and change the grid to 5x5, also enable Subgid positioning if disabled.

Part 5. --- messing around with xposed
PART 5. --- MESSING AROUND WITH XPOSED
Now that we have wanam's custom ported version of Xposed installed, let's make use of it.
!!!IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!
DON'T USE XPOSED INSTALLER APK UNLESS YOU HAVE A DEODEXED ROM!!!
!!!IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!
A common issue appears on Samsung's Marshmallow that keeps restarting your device every time you enable a module.
There's a workaround that can fix this. Simply don't use Xposed Installer app, instead use XDA Labs app.
Let's get right to it!
1. Install XDA Labs app, you can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=18297
2. Grant Root Access to it and go to Xposed tab.
3. Go to search and search for GravityBox [MM], install it.
4. Click on DONE and go back to XDA Labs app. It'll say that you need to restart to enable the module. Click on RESTART.
5. After you've restarted, open the GravityBox [MM] app.
6. Go to Navigation bar tweaks, and enable Master switch and Enable navigation bar.
7. Close the app and restart.
8. You'll see that now you have a navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
9. [OPTIONAL] You can disable Samsung's hardware navigation keys if you know how to do it.
THIS IS THE END OF OUR FIRST JOURNEY. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, JUST REPLY TO ME ON THIS THREAD, THAT WAY I CAN ANSWER FASTER.

I come from a jailbroken series of iDevices and I need some assistance. I'm looking for a few of my favorite iOS tweaks on Android.
The first one I'm looking for is something that makes use of gestures. The app in Cydia was called Zephyr.
For example:
1. Swiping up from the bottom brings up the all the current running apps (the same as holding the middle button on the i9000
2. Swiping from the end of one page to the next switches between apps.
youtube.com/watch?v=ou63IRb3jkU
3. Add an toggle to the dock at the top to kill all running apps.
4. Add other toggles to the dock such as flashlight
5. Move Multiple Icons at once
6. Theme carrier logo icon/name.
Thanks
oh yes I'm running cm-10.0.0-galaxysmtd.zip from here: download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=galaxysmtd&type=stable
*bump*
So after having my new Galaxy Note 2 device for a few weeks, I have found the answer to most of my own questions.
1. GMD Gesture Control (****ing fantastic applications that allows for your own and some build in on screen gestures. You can map them to certain apps or built in functions).
2. Simplistic Framework. (Allows you to remap hardware buttons, tweak and edit general UI preferences and settings.
3. Omega Rom (Custom Rom with lots of built in goodies and loads of toggles.
In case anyone else is looking, those are my top 3 suggestions.
A few launchers from the market do these functions also
Download Apex launcher or Nova Launcher for ICS and up. Go Laucher also have that features you're looking for,.
After hours of trial and error, I have found out how to set custom wallpaper in launchers! Hooray!
You must be ROOT!
Requirements:
Custom laucher (Apex, Nova, etc)
XPosed Framework APK + GravityBox
Root FIle Manager (I use RootExplorer)
Flit Keyboard
UCCW
Patience as this gets pissy
Step 1: Push Launcher, Xposed Framework, Root file manager, UCCW, and Flit keyboard to Gear
Step 2: In you file manager, locate your launcher package in "/data/app" and move your launcher APK to "/system/app". - Credit to fOmey for finding this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2492768
Step 3: On you phone, download the latest xposed framework and the GravityBox module
Step 4: Push the xposed framework and GravityBox apk from your phone to your Gear and install (I used a bluetooth file manager and just copied them over)
Step 5: In xposed, enable the GravityBox module, then reboot
Currently, you should now have Nova/Apex/Other launcher running and capable of placing widgets
Step 6: In GravityBox > Statusbar Tweaks > Pie controls > Enable Pie controls always, always show menu button, and set trigger size to 15px, then reboot
Step 8: In launcher settings (in my case, Nova), set desktop grid to 5 x 4, no width/height margin, allow re-size of all widgets, allow widget overlap, and set dock as overlay (if you want one)
Now, you should have a 5 x 4 grid, have zero margins, and allow widgets to re-size plus overlap
This is where it takes patience as everything is so small
Step 9: Open UCCW > Edit Objects > Background > Either Set color or set image and enable "Fill background on homescreen"
Step 10: Activate Pie and press the menu button > save > Save Skin
Step 11: Using your launcher, set new UCCW Widget to one you just made, then re-size to fill whole screen
Step 12: Celebrate!
Sorry for the horribly worded tutorial, I have mid-terms tomorrow and rushed through this. Let me know if you have any questions! Have fun!

I used "Bluetooth FIle Transfer" Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.medieval.blueftp
It can drop connection kinda frequently but it's useful since both devices have root. You can just grab the apk from your phone the push it to a folder on your gear, then use a root explorer and go from there

Haha, your welcome! You have to install it on both devices in order for it to work. I have issues with it every now and then but for the most part, it works. Sadly, there's an ad at the bottom that gets in the way. You can also change the default directory thanks to the menu button added in from the pie controls. Hopefully I can figure how to port data through the connection as well, if it's at all possible
Thanks for sharing mate, appreciate it.

So far, this is the only way I've been able to set wallpaper. I'm looking for a way to be able to use the default wallpaper apk as that would allow live wallpaper assuming it doesn't drain the battery in a matter of hours

Great tutorial!
Something which I am really missing from the watch is the ability to have "all contacts" and "favorite contacts" visible at the same time. Can You tell us if using Nova You tried maybe to build some contact widgets grid like 3x3, or "add contacts to desktop" to have speed dial functionality?

Ah, sorry for the confusion. You push the Xposed Installer to the device. When you run it, you click on Framework, then install it from within the program itself.
Alternatively, you can just use a photo widget w/ a launcher, use a single image for the widget, and send it to the background on your homescreen.
I'll be damned if I go through the steps posted here just to add a custom wallpaper, which should've been possible with the stock device.

That's basically all I did, but I threw in the pie controls and UCCW so people could make custom (or sideloaded) widgets and use them as watchfaces

If you previously enabled PIE. Then slide your finger up from the bottom of the screen and a blue half circle should appear. A return icon, home, apps, and finally the menu button.
Don't worry it took me a few min to try and figure this out also.
Ok, I got the pie to appear.. and I enabled the alwas show menu button in gravitybox under the pie settings... but still I only get the home, return, and apps buttons only... no menu button
Whats the reason? Can anyone help?

Its ok... got it to work atlast!!

Android is very OPEN SOURCE, MODIFIABLE and its got MATERIAL DESIGN........BUT
Lets face it, sometimes iOS just wins our hearts......not that its very open or modifiable, but it has a distinctive look like no other, its smooth UI, elegant look, and gorgeous icons..............They just WOW us sometimes
But like I said Android is highly customizable
We Androidians have the advantage of doing countless things to our phone...
So those of U who want a little Apple-y look are at the right place
In this guide i'm gonna guide U to Apple-ify your Android device............
NOTE: I'll be guiding in this thread using Nova Launcher and all download links are given below in DOWNLOAD ZONE
BUT IF SOMEONE IS LOOKING FOR AN iOS LAUNCHER, I HAVE JUST THE APP,AND ITS PAID VERSION, LINK BELOW IN DOWNLOAD ZONE { iLauncher} newer
SO LETS BEGIN
We gotta start from some point so lets Apple-ify our Home Screen first
1. Home Screen
Speaking of home screens, most (me included) still prefer the ''App Drawer" of Android instead of dumping all apps on home screens, so i'll go on with that, because it looks neat that way too....:good:
But if someone is still interested in Apple's home-screen, I prefer them to try Hola OR iLauncher, however they lack some of the things that Nova has......haha
1.1 Making an iHome Screen in Nova
Steps for Desktop customization:
1. Install Nova Launcher from the Google Play Store. It's free, though I highly recommend Nova Launcher Prime as it has all the features, including the gesture shortcuts which will be supportive for Quick Settings.
2. Open Nova Settings, then Desktop.
3. Open Desktop grid and expand the grid from 5 rows to 6 by dragging the current row number (5) up until the 6 takes its place and the preview grid shows six rows.
4. Press Done
Steps for Dock customization:
1. Open Dock.
2. Open Dock icons and drag the 5 to the right until 4 takes its place and you see four squares in the preview dock instead of 5.
Steps for Folder BG customization:
1. Download iOS BG.png, save it
2. Open Nova Settings, then Folders
3. In Folder preview, select Grid.
4. In Folder background, select Custom.
5. Browse the iOS BG.png you downloaded and select it.
Now the grids will be Apple-ified but, icons are yet to come......
1.2 Applying Apple icon packs(Apple-esque)
Applying Apple like icons is quite simple......All u need is an Icon Pack, i suggest Adastra Icon Pack, its free as well....
Steps for applying Icon Packs:
1. Install the pack from Google Play.
2. Open Nova Settings, then Look & feel.
3. Open Icon theme and select your icon pack from the list of icon packs.
4. Go back and enjoy your icons.
NOTE: (Optional) If the icons look too small in the launcher, you can turn off Normalize icon size in Look & feel to try and boost the size of the icons. If you're a Nova Launcher Prime user, you can enlarge your icons on the Desktop, Dock, and App & widget drawer using the Icon layout option in each of those menus.
1.3 Manually using Apple icons
Well this can take some of your precious time.....but naa its totally worth it....Lets geooo
Steps for manually using Apple Icons:
1. Download the provided Stock Icon.zip
2. Now, you'll need to extract the icons using a file manager app like ES File Explorer.
4. Long-press on one of the app shortcuts on your home screen you'd like to replace.
5. Edit the shortcut.
6. Tap the icon to edit the icon.
7. Choose Gallery apps
8. Select Documents to bring up a document browser.
9. Find the folder you saved your stock icons to and select your intended iOS icon.
10. Tap Done to confirm your custom icon.
11. Tap Done in the shortcut edit window to confirm your edits.
1.4 Wallpapers for your Andro-iOS Device( thats what i call it:laugh
Well u can get them from Google or anywhere, but anyways i'll give a download link for some cool Apple-y wallpapers....
If you want your wallpaper to move, you can turn on Wallpaper scrolling in Nova Settings > Desktop > Scroll > Wallpaper Scrolling.
2. Quick Settings Panel
Thanks to Nova Launcher Prime's Gestures, you can even set Swipe Up to Expand Quick Settings. But if you want a quick settings panel that looks more familiar, well, there's an app for that. Smart Control is just the app for it, just install, enable and swipe baby....
3. iOS style Messenger
Lets just say we have an alternate for iMessage for Android. Textra is just the app, its got all the customization that makes your Andro-iOS Device even more WOWING, u can change the message bubbles to the iOS shaped ones and the theme and color. And ur done.....
4. iOS style Lock Screen
Yes, of course, everything is available on Play Store these days, just like this cool iOS Lock Screen app called Passcode Lock Screen, its very popular too and looks like an exact copy of the iOS LS.
U just have to install it and download ur favorite theme and ur good to go.
5. iOS style Assisstive Touch button
Just install and enable, and this button will just float around all day, waiting for u to tap it, it's got boost option and much more, and gives an Apple-y feel too.
6. iOS style Calender
Well, this is for those "DIE HARD" Apple lovers who want Apple in everything, so a good calender app that will give u the Apple look is Cal. Just install and see for yourselves.
7. iOS style Notification Bar new
Lets add a more Apple-y look to our Andro-iOS Device, just install the given ''iNoty'' Apple themed notification, set it up, configure it and enjoy. Hello friends, this is my first post that I hope is useful. I will teach you to have the launcher touchwiz for your phone (COMPATIBLE WITH ANDROID 4.2+) We will need 3 applications and root access.
The first application is the nova launcher prime, (you can easily download it by looking for the apk in google) the more updated the better.
Once the nova launcher is downloaded, go to the Root explorer or the Es file manager. And paste the apk replacing the system launcher by default or adding it to system / app (I replaced the old touchwiz because I do not like outdated) Once this is done, we will have the most customizable launcher in our system.
Now the second apk is: TW Icons, (in the play store is only the application of pay then you can find the apk in google).
Once downloaded the apk we move to system / app.
THE BEST OF THIS APPLICATION IS THAT IT DOES NOT SPEND RAM, NO CACHE OR DATA WHEN USED IT.
When restarting the device we will have the nova launcher and TW Icons downloaded. We will access the configuration of Nova and in Appearance, we will put in icons by default those of TW icons, and the application drawer we move it to the right.
I think the size and color of the letter already know modify and to hide applications that do not want on the menu go to applications, go down and enter 'Hide applications'.
Now in the configuration of nova, we go back to applications we deactivate the option of: frequently used applications & applications in card (lollipop style).
Then we go to: Wallpaper (Color and Transparency) and we put everything transparent.
After this will have your launcher as close to touchwiz as possible. I recommend you back it up in Nova if you format your cell phone not having to configure everything again. I hope you have served them and remember: TW Icons does not spend RAM

You can even leave the substratum and left clock if you don't need left clock- that will reduce it to JUST 3 APKS to install

The alternative is to use The theme v3 day, then use Swift installer, change apps to black amoled, and the rest of the tweaks in Swift installer too- like use material theme and even transparency of the pull down notif.

Didn't use one handed mode yet
The browser also has modes to hide status bar which actually helps us use the entire screen for browsing?

Yes. It's just that the whole idea of one uinis to move important elements to he button. And I don't know but I think the address bar is very important and almost out of reach even for my big hands.
I can't get notifications on this launcher
