Unpredictable battery behaviour - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, I'm currently running bliss rom, despair kernel, also got xposed (amplify, greenify, powrnap) and I'm looking for solution of this weird problem (screenshot). What should I do?

Close all that running apps.
Try Advanced Taskkiller

The phone was on standby and no apps were launched ?

You had Facebook running, or are you getting notifications through Chrome? If the former, uninstall it and get your notifications through Chrome.
Also, Xposed and its modules could be a cause. Try uninstalling them and see if battery life improves.

get rid of xposed, then reflash your rom and kernel

Cm 10.1 Crashes all the time

Hi,
my lg p990 with the latest cm10.1 nightly is crashing all the time in a way that it doesnt work at all and drains the battery until you pull the battery out. i had this problem with cm10 and cm10.1 for ages and i dont know whats causing it. because of the way the phone crashes i dont have any logfile whatsoever. its just reallly annoying.
Any help ?
(pls dont answer like "did you turn the phone on?" or similiar non-smart questions, yes i did everything according to the "book", i also installed a lot of apps on the phone)

i used the version you can download on cyanogenmod website and installed it normally via cwm (with full wipe and everything)
i never touched anything related to bootloaders (just used the standard one i guess...)
Did you use stock CM kernel?
I didn't tried the latest cm nightly, but cm kernel has a weird bug causing the CPU to stick at 1000mgz all the time.
Use some apps to see for yourself, cpu spy.
I use trikster mod app to properly set the cpu.
And I recommend avatar rom, it is like CM but has a suport/option for miui themes.
Rom is super smooth and has god memory menagement/multitasking, even the stock clock alarm hasn't failed me.
Sure it has all the known CM bugs like panorama not working, same kernel bug, ect. but it's stable.

As far as I know, one has nothing to do with the other.
Did your light turn off?
The battery % is well documented issue now and is caused by Chainfire's new boot image. I think it is used in many kernels at the moment. If you are not getting a bootloop, you are getting the glitch in battery %.
Not aware of any fix right now other than using kernal that is baked in whatever ROM you use. Been watching for a fix myself as my battery life could be better. Running Chroma myself. But can't get any other kernal to go without the loops.
Flash the stock kernel for whatever your on and it should go away. From what I've read its something in latest aosp that conflicts with custom kernels. I Could be wrong but I do know if you flash stock kernel it will go away. [emoji12]

Best, stable ROM?

I no longer use my LG L90 D415 device anymore as I moved onto the Nexus 6P, but I do have it as a backup phone, I flashed CyanogenMod 13 on it prior to not using it. I realized now that the device just is super laggy with it. What are the best recommended stable ROMs for this device, is it still best to go stock? I am also curious if there are any good Marshmallow ROMs out there as well.
CM 13 is very smooth. Do not know why yours is lag, but you can try full wipe and re-flash, then wipe cache/davik again. If you still feel lag, I guess there is no rom can satisfy your need.

Is it really stable? Maybe it's because I am running an older version which can always be the case. If you do claim it's stable, I than would definitely install it.

I have used it for some days, and it good and smooth for me. I have not install much programs, so I am not sure it is stable or not, but I have not seen any issue. The version I used is the latest snapshot.

Oh okay, I guess I'll give it a look. Did you get the ROM directly off the CM website by any chance ? Or is there a thread here that you can link me to?
You can go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-13-lg-l90-t3276705
RR is also great...

Sweet, I just flashed it. So far so good. I don't intend to run many apps, in fact, probably just need it to be capable enough to check emails, browse the web, answer calls and text messages. Its just a backup phone really. I'll play around with it to see if I do experience any issues, but it seemed blazingly fast (just as fast as my Nexus 6P!) from the initial setup.

If there is any problem, you can try slimrom or RR. both are good, and almost bug-free. If you just use L90 as a backup phone, I think there will be no problem. the funny thing is I just bought L90 as my main phone, replacing sony E1, which is also a great phone for me (of course, with many tweaks and debloat)
RR is ok but Sygic Navigation dont work :-/ I use Teamsek.
Maybe just me but on all clones cm13 after uninstalling any apk, system process crashes.
I also use Temasek...everything works great!

I have been using the CM13 since March or April I don't remember exactly when, and it works fine. I installed the Gapps Mini, I have root and xposed installed.
I have been updating the rom several times a month, the last update I installed was from 11-06-2016.
I have some Apps installed, but I dont use facebook, neither facebook messenger, or even snapchat.
The rom looks very stable, and I only notice lag sometimes, it's not perfect, but works. Much better then stock 5.02.

Thanks

You will need ther recovery, but you can use this apk to install it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/material-design-xposed-installer-t3137758
When you install this apk, do not update the app (even if it says that exists an update), because it breaks the xposed framework installation from the app.
This version does almost everything for you.
If you update the app, you will need to download the xposed .zip from xda, and install it from xposed, because for some reason, the app can't find the xposed framework anymore.
I hope I helped you.

Tahnks. Already have apk installed, xposed working and forced the IMEI through apk, but it only changes IMEI from dialing *#06#. If you go to phone testing - *#*#4636#*#* you can verify the IMEI is still 0 (zero).
I Use ORION OS on both of my LG D415's.
Its been a while and I wanted to follow up on this subject. What is the current most stable ROM? Really going for no issues and stability as I would like to give this phone to a relative.
I'm using the second to last nightly build from 12/12/2016. Has been good for me. Honestly, I would use the lineage os that slim built. Only caveat, it is not root. A patch for that will probably be available soon. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70643376&postcount=972
OR
slimrom 2.0 https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/development/rom-slimrom-marshmallow-t3298337
I have been using RR for a few days now and has been stable and fast. I also noticed a big increase in battery life.

Phone lagging everywhere

Hello
I have a G800F with nougat RR installed, xposed, Spookcity kernel 1600MHz and some apps. I feel it extremely laggy. I tried also to freeze all apps except the minimal apps I use for work, disable xposed, restore stock keyboard, but the phone is still laggy. It's the hardware so limited or if I revert to MM or change someting else it could be more responsive?
Thank you

Try whipping the Cache. It seems to help on my girl friends old S5 mini that was also extreme slow.

Recent apps gets cleared after a long deep sleep

Hi
So, this has been happening for me in a while now. I'm not sure why or what causes this problem but all my recent apps even some locked apps are getting cleared after a long deep sleep. I didn't change anything in the settings and this hasn't happen to me before I switch to Sphinx Kernel. I didn't touch memory settings in EKM, almk are off, lmk, zram, MIUI Optimizations, etc.
ROM: EU 8.11.15
Kernel: Sphinx 1.9-PreFinal w/ 3.0 Magisk Module Script by Ethan
Anyone else experiencing this issue? Thanks!
