Gyroscope/camera fault

Hi everybody, I have a trmendous issue on my Z. When i try to launch camera app, Z reboots. This is not a problem fo camera app, because I've wiped data and cache, but nothing to do. I enter in secret menu of Z with *#*#7378423#*#*, all tests pass but if I try gyroscope or compass test, smartphone reboots. Any idea to solve the issue? Please help me
ps Phone is out of warranty.
First of all try hard reset , then repair phone with Sony PC suite, finally if you have a lot of time try different ROM, also did you drop the phone?
I have done hard reset, now i flash new firmware. I think that some water has entered into phone But all other things works well. I use secret menu *#*#7378423#*#* and when i test camera, for few seconds, the camera works, then phone reboots. The same occurs also for frontal camera.
Where is located Gyro/Compass in Xperia Z? On main board or are they single moduels?
Gyro/Camera Issue
I have the same issue. Just started after root and unlocking bootloader.
In secret menu it says no gyroscope.
Fix?
Hi everybody
I also have this problem since with my Xperia Z since last year,
On stock firmware or custom based on sony firmware and z's secret menu, loading the camera and gyroscope would always cause reboot.
On AOSP/CM based roms, the camera will load only once, the second time would always cause reboot.
This happens even when i had changed the camera hardware module
But yesterday i decided to try and flashed the latest firmware (C6603_ 1271-2229 10.5.1.A.0.283 R1D _Generic SG.ftf) via flashtool, and the camera works flawlessly.
hope this helps.

[Q] Camera Not Working

Hello all, I have recently bought a brand new sony xperia z . I've unlocked it and installed PAC ROM. Then I've put it under water for 5 minutes, after a reboot, the phone didn't turn on. I tried flashing a stock ftf file but it didn't work. I took it to the repair center, there was a hardware issue. After it got repaired, I installed once again PAC ROM. I noticed that I could only open the camera app once because if I open it once again, the phone would reboot. I thought it could the ROM's bug so I reverted to stock but I couldn't even use it for once: once I open the camera app in stock rom, it would directly reboot.
I am afraid that there's a hardware issue, though I am not sure if it's because of the ROM or unlocking the phone because I didn't try the camera app before bricking the phone.
Any Ideas or help?
Can anyone please help me with this issue?

Xperia T - restarts after flashing new firmware

Hey.
This is my first thread so welcome all. If this issue was fixed or if there is similar thread please close it down.
I have Xperia T that was branded by Vodafone DE. I updated it once from the standard firmware (I think it was the 4.1.2 android) to 4.3 (9.2.A.0.295), everything was fine, except that on two occasions the screen just could not be forced to turn on. Everything was working, sound, calls etc. I just had to hard reset it to enable the screen. Once when I was receiving call I could not answer it, the screen was jumping, blinking and I could not do anything with it. Hard reset helped again. I thought that those were bugs from the 9.2.A.0.295 but now I'm not so sure.
I downloaded the newest version of flashtool and the UK 9.2.A.1.199 firmware from this site, not branded, not modified. I unlocked the phone using the instructions on the sony site but since i didn't wanted to root the phone I locked it again. I flashed the mentioned UK firmware without problems and then the phone started to randomly reset itself. Usually it is getting hot under the camera and it resets mainly after using facebook or basically internet. It mostly resets when my phone is in the pocked. I tried using pc companion's repair option, used the firmware from Italy, Greece and almost all 9.2.A.1.205 except the Bond release. I think it's not the firmware, I've reverted to the 9.2.A.0.295 to no success. There are from one to six resets a day at random hours. Did someone had this problem? Is it related to the firmware flashing or could be just a coincidence and my xperia is dying from motherboard\battery failure? I replaced my sim card with new one. It also happens with or without the sd card.
Hi, the most common restart's are:
a) Sim card ( you change that)
b) Software ( you change that)
c) Very rare SD card ( try to do that) get the SD out end boot the phone. Edit .. you all ready do that.
d) End must common is the Battery ( first try de c) version ,then if fail , you need to buy a new battery end try.
e) motherboard (well new phone? )
This not exactly the order, but from i have read , point d , b ,a , are the order .
So Good Luck.:good:
I think it could be the battery or the board, since it happens on all firmwares. The thing I would like to know is that using flashtool for an example could somehow damage the phone or the battery? I never found any info on this.

I have heard that upgrading to 4.3 could actually damage the battery. So yes, it is possible.
I don't know the reason tho

As far as I know this is a software problem which was introduced when we got KitKat for the Xperia Z1. This thread should contain all the information needed to fix this issue.
Make sure to make a backup of your data, that includes all data on your internal and external sd-card.
Good luck!
thanks! i will read it all and try!

[Q] please help me, tried everything :(

Hi everyone, I really need some help with this otherwise my sp c5303 is scrap...
From the beggining, I buy a xperia sp on the three network in the uk but it accepted any sim
Unlocked bootloader, no problem
Flashed loads of ROMs with no issues.
Settled on stock deodexed ROMs. Had a happy phone.
Tried to update to the latest maybe 6 months ago, had a bad flash, bootloop.
Then wiped and reflashed previous set up.
Problem is, now the phone doesn't recognise my sim, its relocked the boot loader, simlock is all set to [] 0.
And that really sucks.
I have root access still, but no recovery.
Eventually I have regained access to recoveries and custom ROMs won't accept my sim either... Otheriwse works perfect
The phone is flawless, I have even taken it to be repaired physiccaly there's no faults but it won't accept any simcard. I have trawled the forums and nothing looks promising.
I have been using a moto g for a few months but its... Annoying, and the screens shattered. And it has problems with loudspeaker turning off and on rapidly...
The thing I am wondering is, could it be that the ftf file I used was from another country? Because I can't find one from the uk to try, although I expect that will only really change the default language choice.
Anything else I can try before I give up?
Please tell me its something achievable!
Thank you.
