Hi guys
I am using DC-Unlocker the phone detects etc and i select "lock bootloader" and it runs through the task and states it was successful as per below
Code:
Locking Bootloader...
Done!
but when i reboot and relaunch the DC-Unlocker it still says:
Code:
SIM Lock status : unlocked
With Huawei and Honor, since you unlock the bootloader, it's over. No more "locked".
Even you do a locking process or flash a complete stock rom, you'll have or "unlocked" or "relocked".
Sorry...

But sim lock doesn't have anything to do with bootloader lock.
Oh! Well when I unlock via dc unlocker and then reopen the app it gives me the option to lock and not unlock.
Plus I can't use Huawei ID due to a restriction.

You give me your adb screen capture for seeing "locked"... Marvellous, what a surprise !
Am I saying it's not possible to relock ? NO ! Sure your bootloader is locked. Defininitly locked !
BUT : I'm not talking about what your adb screen is saying.
I talk about what THE PHONE says.
And it will no more say "locked"! Even the bootloader is relocked.
Just a question of words, man... No more.

advice for you then from myself - maybe next time you should state whether you were reading off your phones bootloader screen or of the adb screen on the computer. before laying into someone who didn't misread anything
and also the guy/gal who posted was saying that his/her bootloader was locked but seemed to be confused about why his/her sim was still unlocked as he may of thought they were the same lock/unlock process and of the same thing
May be. Apologies Milanber. We both have reason.
My post is edited. Do the same aceclift...
No worries.

Hi guys, my doubt is the following:
I have unlocked bootloader but I want to unlock the "network lock" so my X8 can use any operator but I don't know what happens with my bootloader, it locks again? Thanks in advance

If you have unloceked bootloader, then you should have sim unlock too. Look at that thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225

What are you talking about? That thread actually says bootloader unlock does not sim unlock the phone.

Calm down, NIMBAH - there are always people who fail to understand what a particular guide is all about (or not).
EDIT: @OP
Your other chance, which may be the better solution, is to SIM unlock through an EMMA/IMEI code. There are some sites on the net offering this kind of service.
Then, unlocking via EMMA/IMEI code my boootloader won't suffer any change, right?

No, your boot loader won't suffer changes ... the one has not really anything to do with the other.
The only relevant thing is at boot loader unlock - there's a scenario (read the guide in the development section!) where the original SIM lock could return, but that entirely depends on how the phone got SIM unlocked in the first place.
I unlocked bootloader and it unlocked my phone, and now i can use any sim card (t-mobile, vip.....)

Unlock Xperia X8
Please tell us how do you get it.
I have an Xperia X8 and I finalised the year, so I can ask to my operator to unlock the phone. The problem is that I have modified the original system (Android 1.6) the actual system is Android 2.3 (MiniCM 7-2.2) and I supose the operator will rejected to unlock my phone.
in my opinion should take. and as pujdzie something wrong, and so it can upload the unlocked bootloader 2.1 stock under flashtool and then bootladera lock without restoring your stock. And then you can return to normal rom coustom
trying to get an unlock bootloader code for my mate S .... keep gettiing "The Huawei ID used to apply for the unlock code has not been used on the device for more than 14 days."
do i really have to wait 2 weeks before i can root my phone?
hey,
i did not have to wait at all.
i followed a guide posted in a german forum where they point out going here first:
http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin.php?id=hwdownload&mod=list
on the top right you can see "download", click that.
you should see an "unlock bootloader" link. check the pic below to see what i mean:

on the following page check the "remember ID" box and click the facebook button leaving everything else empty (you need a facebook account to log on at the following site of course). see the pic!
you should then see an "unlocking agreement". accept it and then enter the data as required in this pic.
upon entering my data there i instantly had the bootloader unlock code on my screen.
try it out, hope it works for you!
greetz,
vercetti.
thanks for the reply, but i still get the same message....."The Huawei ID used to apply for the unlock code has not been used on the device for more than 14 days.".....guess ill have to wait a couple of weeks....
unlocking bootloader
I am as well unable to get the unlocked code, kept saying the same message. Do you really have to wait 14 days? Did you get any luck, I see the other post about DC-Unlocker, don't know how to go about it. I had my phone for quite awhile just haven't happen to unlock it yet, however it is already SIM unlocked, just not the bootloader.
***update
So i went ahead and used DC-unlocker; paid the $4.59 for it and was able to get the code and unlocked the bootloader and was able to install a custom recovery, I couldn't wait/stand for Huawei website, it was frustrating me, so buggy and unresponsive.
After all that just search google, "root mate s TWRP recovery", a lot of helpful content out there, that'll explain how.
By the way, I have the model CRR-L00, it was already network unlocked when i bought it and came with google play already installed.
TWRP recovery i used - twrp-2.8.7.0-carrera.img (searched it on google)
root i used- BETA-SuperSU-v2.68-20160228150503
A complete guide would be here, very straightforward: http://www.android.gs/root-install-twrp-recovery-huawei-mate-s/ It states that it was done on a crr-l09, I've tested on mines it works as well.
Hi everyone.
I'm following the instructions in order to get TWRP on my phone and flash Resurrection Remix Oreo, but I'm not being able to unlock the bootloader.
I get the "Your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking." message at the Motorola unlocking website
Does this have anything to do with Verizon? Their E5 Play isn't unlockable at the moment?
I should get 5 strings of unlock data, but instead I get the "Unlock data:" text in the first line, and then 4 more. Is this something that should happen?

Verizon-branded phones cannot be bootloader unlocked. Has always been this way.
You cannot flash a custom ROM with a locked bootloader.

I was referring to Verizon's Moto phones. The Verizon-branded Pixel/XL had a workaround to allow BL unlock, as did the Pixel 2 for a short period of time (was patched in an update). But the Verizon-branded Pixel 2 XL and Pixel 3s still cannot be bootloader unlocked.
I am having the same issue, however can you root a phone without unlocking the bootloader?

I have tried over and over again to unlock the bootloader.
I've signed into my Mi Account, the same on both my PC (Mi Unlock Tool) and phone.
I installed the Xiaomi driver.
I click unlock, and then it gets to 99% before saying Unknown error (-1)
I've tried on two PCs, one AMD Ryzen 2nd gen, one Intel Core 6th gen.
After trying on the Intel PC, the phone is no longer detected by the Mi Unlock Tool, on both PCs
I really need help with this

Try to 2.3.XXX
Check if your phone(fastboot mode) is detected in device manager as well.

Whenever I connect my phone while MiFlash is open, the phone instantly exists the bootloader, but stays on the bootloader if I reconnect it.
Edit: I also tried MiFlash 2.3.803.10, but my phone is not detected there either.
IT FINALLY WORKED when I disabled device signature enforcement on Windows.
Thanks for the help guys.
EDIT: IT DIDN'T BLOODY WORK. The unlock tool said successfully unlocked. When I check on the phone and through typing 'fastboot oem device info'
it said the phone was not unlocked.
EDIT #2: All of a sudden it just worked on my Intel PC with the newest version of Mi Unock

Hi friends. I bought a refurbished pixel 4 xl from amazon. developer options as seen in the picture. The device seems to be not OEM unlocked. but when I contacted verizon, they checked the imei and said that the device is unlocked.
The question I want to ask is: Can I root this device? Or can I install different roms?

Your bootloader is locked, therefore you cannot root or install any custom roms. Verizon was referring to it being carrier unlocked, not bootloader unlocked.
Hey!
Using the easy way to root and install roms you can't. BUT I am working on a way to unlock any pixel, even if it is bootloader locked.
I am quite busy right now but I expect to have more free time on July to work on this project. If you are interested just have look on my profile.
Also, to increase the chances of success, don't install any OS Software updates.

Hey!
Yes the project is live and still going, though slower than what I would like... Any help is welcome
Generally, carrier CSR's (customer service representatives) won't know what a bootloader lock is, so when Verizon tells you it's unlocked, they're talking about the carrier lock - meaning it isn't locked to their network and can be used on other networks.
I believe there is a way to determine whether this was a carrier specific device via the IMEI, but I don't have that information on hand.
There's a couple things you can try to see if you can get OEM Unlock to become available:
Let the device sit while connected to the Internet to see if OEM Unlock becomes available.
Factory reset the device WITHOUT a SIM, do not connect to a WiFi network, and complete basic setup. Enable Developer Options and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, manually change the time ahead one week.
If neither of these work, you probably won't be able to unlock the bootloader, and should seek a replacement from Amazon. They don't know the difference - to them, a phone is a phone is a phone, so as far as they're concerned, a former Verizon device is exactly the same as a global Google unlocked device.
