Phone reboots when trying to remove Microsoft OneNote - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6

So I updated to 6.0.1 and rooted the phone. I'm on the stock ROM and tried to debloat programs so I tried removing OneNote through an uninstall app. (I tried installing Titanium Backup but there was an error) So I managed to remove most of the apps I didn't want, except OneNote. Every time I try to uninstall it, my phone reboots and remains on my device. Anyone having this issue? Thanks!

Try with CCleaner or search for a debloater at play store.

Yeah when I try disabling it it asks me if I want to restore the app back to factory default for OneNote. When I hit yes, it reboots. ..does the same thing as me trying to uninstall it all together .. . i think it might be a particular file missing by chance? something must have happened when I rooted the phone. ..

If you are root, I think you can use a file explorer to delete it manually, only do that if you know how, other option could be restoring the firmware, disable all apps you don't want, make root, and uninstall them, I hate that app too. (One more idea, try to make it sleep with greenify and uninstall)

Uninstall updates shouldn't cause you to lose any games. It will just revert the application back to it's original published version.

Crashing when I attempt to uninstall app

I've been having this issue for a bit now and finally fed up enough to seek help.
I attempt to uninstall an application from my Moto X (running 4.4.2) and it immediately crashes the phone. I've done a factory reset on the phone and after installing a test app and trying to uninstall it right after it does the same thing. So basically any app I install I'm stuck with unless I wipe the phone. I took a video of the process. It doesn't matter what application I try to uninstall as it does the same thing with all of them.
apparently I can't post links to my youtube video until I get 10 posts, I suppose I could send via PM if someone wants to see?
no idea how to even troubleshoot this.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. The phone is bone stock, never tried to mess with roms or anything if that's what you mean.

This may fix it. Go settings, about phone, tap on the build # a lot. This will enable dev options. Go back one & set runtimes to art, be sure you have at least 50% batt. It can take more then 10 min.

I made this change this morning. No luck, still crashing when I try to uninstall applications. These are normal applications I've downloaded from the play store, weird. Any other ideas?

I installed Titanium Backup and it lets you backup and uninstall apps.

I wouldn't uninstall the apps. Use Titanium and freeze the apps. A lot of people ran into problems when the OTA update came out. If system files were modified or deleted, the update wouldn't go through. If there's another update, simply unfreeze them. I don't know if we'll get any more updates but freezing them is safer

Agreed, just freeze them. I uninstalled all the bloatware, and now I have no screen rotation (which I read is believed to be related to uninstalling Samsung Hub).

[Q] removing stock apps

I've got some apps on my rooted nook that I don't think I need (social, browser, gallery, news and weather, etc). How can I go about uninstall them? Long pressing gives me an error that Uninstall was unsuccessful.
Edit: Here's the answer

deleting some apparently irrelevant ones like talk etc causes problems, careful:

full sysfile control and easily too:

Sounds like you need to root it... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35267728
I strongly suggest using titanium backup and freezing apps rather than uninstalling them. You can save yourself some serious headaches.

I have followed the procedure yesterday , its all "Ok" , yet i don't have root privileges :/
It's impossible to give you any advice when you're being so cryptic, please explain in detail exactly what you've done, trying to do and anything else that relates. Telling us that you've rooted the device but don't have root access tells us exactly nothing unfortunately.

@Phoenix854, I think it is some sort of media player.
@ OP, Try to remove it from the app tray, open the app menu from homescreen, slide out the menu from the left, click on uninstall, now tap on the app to remove it. See if this method works.

Then you could try using an app uninstaller off the play store. But if that doesn't work you can root (use towel root then install supersu) then using a file explorer with root privileges you can remove the apk from /data/app.
Or you could repair the software via PCC-as what your experiencing shouldn't be happening.

I would recommend repairing the software via PCC, to do that download Sony PC Companion from here and install it. Next connect your device via the micro usb cable to your computer then once the device is detected click on the 'your phone/tablet is up to date' (it is in blue font). Here you'll see a repair option click on it and proceed following the on screen instructions.
Note: you will loose all installed apps/data, because it completely cleans your device.
Rooting simply allows you to take full control of your device, you can root locked bootloader devices. To root, download and install towel root and supersu. Open towel root and root the device, then extract the supersu zip and install the supersu apk (it is in one of the folders). Open supersu, update the binary, reboot and your good to go.
Read this for things you can do after rooting.
