Hi there,
This is a bit of a noob question.
When I go to system setting I see 3 memory storage.
1. Internal phone storage
2. Internal SD card
3. External SD card
My question is, by default, do apps get installed on internal phone storage?
Cos it's only around 2GB.
Also, when you move apps to SD card by going into setting-applications,
does it move to internal SD card or External SD card??
Many thanks in advance!
I have XXKB9 ROM installed.
When I goto Settings > SD card and phone storage, it has follonings
SD card - 7.38 GB (sub menus Total space, Available Space, Unmount SD card & Format SD card - Disabled)
USD Storage 1.52 GB (sub menus Total space, Available Space, Format USB storage)
Device Memory - 1.56 GB
When I try to transfer an app to the SD card, It only move to the USB storage not to my physical SD card (8GB). With some apps, this USB storage show as Internal SD card & the SD card as External SD card.
How to move apps to the real SD card (8GB)?
Also the menu does not allow me to format the SD card as that option is disabled.
u can swap ur internal sd with ur external sd.
in gingerbread firmware...internal sd = usb storage ... and external sd = sd card.
u can use this link to learn how to swap ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1088474
but use this vold.fstab from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1151078
If you want to format external sd card then first choose unmount sdcard option from setting...then format sd card option will enable automatically...!!!
Is there a way to switch between the internal and and external memory card? Like in my asus transformer where i have an external 64 gb card be seen as internal storage.
Guys how to swap internal memory from sd card? TIA.
Has anyone figured how to move apps to SD card? My internal storage is getting maxed out
You should be able to go to Storage and USB in Settings and format sd card as internal
