may be a router RTSP routing performance issue - dunno. use an alternate, FLV-based player. see my YouTube Bible (sticky in General)
Hi
I haven't had time to test this myself and in case some of you know, does the battery drain faster when sharing internet with wifi or with bluetooth?
I am able to tether with both modalities since my laptop now has built-in bluetooth.
Thanks.
Do not have a Kaiser yet.. but BT on will use a a little more power than with it off. Should still be decent life tho.
Hello everybody,
I hope this doesn't repeat an answered question.
I have a well maintained p880 (stock JB, rooted, frequently factory-restored).
I tried to connect to a bluetooth audio receiver. Connection is easy but the sound breaks very frequently. This is clearly not the receiver's fault because sound transmission from an iPhone or a laptop is perfect.
I have no reference to the phone's bluetooth capacities because it's the first time in 2 years that I try to use it.
EDIT: I just found out that turning off wifi solves the problem. This, however, is not really a solution.
Does anybody have any experience with it? Is there a way to improve bluetooth performance?
Thanks!
Im on Beanstalk and the Bluetooth connection with a car radio does break as well very often (about every 20 secs), WiFi is turned off always. Maybe it's the Bluetooth chip itself that has such bad connection.

I use my iphone 3gs to bluetooth personal hotspot to get on the net with the hd. Problem is it randomly drops connection and is really wonky. It may work fine for 30 min at a time then otheres disconnect every few min. Annoying when trying to watch netflix. Anyone got a fix for this?
Hi all,
Hoping someone can help with a problem I'm having with my newly acquired Chromecast.
In a nutshell, it all works quite well, but I'm having troubles with interrupted stream of audio and video. The stream will interrupt for a couple of seconds and then resume. Sometimes the interruption will only show a black screen, whereas others it will show static. It happens quite often, and it can be majorly annoying, as you can imagine.
I'm thinking that it might be an issue related to my (relatively) old panasonic tv, but I was wondering if any of you have the same issue.
Thank you in advance for your help. Let me know if any additional info might be useful.
Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the reply.
Internet's speed is not the problem: all videos work flawlessly when I watch them on my PC.
Thanks.
for best performance, dongle needs to have as clear a line of sight as possible to your router. wireless-n router set to wpa2 and channel width=40MHz helps too. tweaking these have reduced dropouts for me.
Yes, as @e.lopez hints, Chromecast needs to have a good WiFi connection, and it doesn't really give you a good indication of speed.
Wish there was a WiFi speed test that can run on Chromecast... Most of the web ones require user interaction to start the test, which you can't do from Chromecast, heh.
You can have blazing-fast Internet connection speed, but if Chromecast is getting poor WiFi signal, it'll still perform poorly.
