Works fine with cyanogenmod 12.1, at least the first two tutorials (controlls and combat simulation)

I noticed earlier this week that none of Gameloft's HD games were available on their website for the Captivate, so I e-mailed them today asking when they (specifically NOVA and Modern Combat) would be made available for our phone and here is the response I received:
"Hi!
Thank you for your interest in Gameloft games. Unfortunately, we currently do not have any plans to add those game to support your device. This may change in the future so please visit our Website periodically for the latest information at gameloft.com"
Does anyone know if I can just select that I am with Sprint on an EVO during the purchase and receive and run the games just fine? I am guessing yes but I wanted to double check before I spent the money to buy the games.
(My phone is rooted and I have enabled non-market apps.)

what a dumb a customer service. all the new HD or 3D games from companies work on the Vibrant. I have tested each of these games mentioned below. Not only do they run, they run smoooooooooooooth.

yep just select different phone that is supported, thats what I did. n.o.v.a runs great on my captivate. They need to get it together.saying a phone isn't supported when it runs the game better than the phones that are supported.lol

Asphalt and Nova work well
I have been playing Dungeon Hunter HD and it works great. Very smooth playback so far.
If you got to the website on your phone, atleast for me on the vibrant it will let you get some of the games. DO NOT get Hero of Sparta though because it causes Touchwiz to loop forever when you start up your phone.

one warning here....Asphalt 5 is AWESOME but ONLY up to version 3.1.3. I am not sure what they did after that but they broke hardware acceleration.

I'm using 3.1.8 and it seems fine. Did it used to be even smoother? 3.1.8 seems smooth to me and it doesn't stutter or anything. Maybe they put a 30 fps cap or something?
It is a LOT smoother. Try finding 3.1.3 and then let me know. Yes 3.1.8 looks fine unless you have seen how much better it is with hardware acceleration.

I have all these games and they run better on the galaxy S than the iPhone 4 or any other phone they're available for. This phone is so much more powerful and the absolutely stunning screen contrast knocks even the iPhone 4's screen when playing games.

you should be able to do it without root. Btw it does matter which phone you pick, games are crippled for certain devices, forgot which ones. And uh, 3.1.8 asphalt is smooth as silk, give it a shot.
p.s. hows dungeon hunter hd? i looked at it but didnt know if it was worth the buy or not.

Um... I had 3.1.8 from the market. You may think it's smooth, as did I, but you won't truly see the light until you switch to 3.1.3.

Yeah mate, try 3.1.3 and then let us know if it really looks that smooth anymore? You will be VERY surprised at how smooth it can really be.
Unfortunately there is little hope gameloft will fix it but I contacted them anyway.

I have Asphalt 3.1.3. I can't get Nitrous to work most of the time. The button lights when I hit it, but Nitrous doesn't fire. On a random occasion, it does fire. Anyone else having this issue? I do have a screen protector on.

Hi, since I can't post on development area ill post my question here.
I have read on the HUGE post in the development area that gameloft games won't work on Honeystreak? Is that only for 160 density or for 106 as well?
Since I play order & chaos online I don't want to update my streak 7 if the game won't play.
And a second question
I have read about 106 and 160 density. Which one has less graphic issues?

As far as I know, no Gameloft games except Asphalt 6 work on Honeycomb so if I were you I wouldn't update.

i play Order & Chaos online on both my streak 5 and 7. you just need an "unlocked" apk file for all devices.
i haven't tried any other gameloft games on STOCK rom for streak 7.
He's not asking about stock rom,
I can get all the Gameloft games working on stock, its Honeystreak he's asking about.
This is a question Im very much interested in, I mainly use my Streak for gaming.

..........of good money. I bought a Dell Streak 7 for my son for Xmas thinking it would be great compared to my Dell Streak 5. Ooops, how wrong i was. Duel core Tigra 2 and for what, angry birds. Ok i must confess Bang Bang Racing is far better than anything ive played on the S5 but its a joke that he cant play tintin, backstab or any of the other games that supposed to play well on other less able machines.
I have even changed the Build prop within system so that Marketplace thinks it is a HTC Desire HD but only to find after handing money over the games come up with "not compatible".
Anyways, has anyone had any luck getting what is a potentially great machine to play such games?

change your build prop to G2x:

This is a tegra 2 device with wvga screen - the same as the streak 7.
Desire HD uses a Qualcomm processor so the games you get on that build prop won't work.
Have you tried any of the custom roms ?

Im afraid using the LG build had no effect. Re installed Tintin from market and still FC b4 it starts( also backstab.......i think Gameloft want shooting). I know what my boy is going to say in the morning, " well well, did it work", om, hey thanks for the effort. Looks like the Ipod Touch our daughter got for Xmas looks like the better option.

What custom rom are you running? Have you considered that those apps might not be Honeycomb compatible and it isnt' the tablets fault?
Hi and thanks for reply, ive 3.2 dj steves rom, ive searched alot at gameloft games and I believe its more a problem with their APKs as apposed to the machine. Its a pity they have not bothered to include the S7 on their compatible books as the 7 is well capable to run such games.
UPDATE:
Has anyone been able to get games that are graphically good on the s7, the likes of spiderman, nova, 9mm, backstab and dead planet. As I have mentioned earlier, pretty much all the games on the s7 are on my S5 and considering that i had to purchase another Ipod Touch for my son, do i keep the S7 or sell it at a loss.

This is a Gameloft issue, has nothing to do with the DS7.
Hey guys. Today I, perhaps foolishly, bought the android controller from GameStop. I can't post the link, but searching Android controller on the GameStop site will render the correct result. I thought it would make Modern Combat 3 a TAAAAAAAAAAD easier, or at least more fun. And it would, if it worked. I got SixAxis and paired it to my Nexus 7 (16 GB) and no matter how much mapping I do, I still get the same faulty responses. It works, so I know the tablet recognizes it, I just have to program it right. Any help is appreciated. Thanks a ton.

Most GameLoft games have severe issues with any controllers unfortunately

40$?! Official controllers can be had for less used, or slightly more new. I use my ps3 controller without issues. Six axis suggests official controllers as well.

Hello I loved playing Magic 2015 the apk on Android and I was wondering if any of you guys play it, because my apk just stop working and I don't know why all it does is FC when I open it and I wanted to know if any of you know why it's not working and is it working for you and I was also wondering if there is any other Magic apk out there that I could play that was like Magic 2015?
