Anyone opened it? Is it just passive adapter or are there any active components inside? If passive, anyone knows the wiring of the hdmi interface on nook connector?

I was wondering if this Samsung Galaxy S MicroUSB to HDMI Out cable would work on our HTC Incredible's. Can this or any MicroUSB to HDMI Out cable work for the Incredible??

This would be amazing if it would work. I don't see it happening, though.
considering the data throughput of usb vs. the throughput of hdmi, this sounds more like a gimmick. the data still has to come OUT of a usb port. you might as well just use the standard usb cable. i guess the idea of having the availability of plugging into hdmi instead of 3.5mm to rca is nice.
Unless it has a analog to digital conversion in it, it won't work. Output from the Dinc is an analog signal not digital.
Also the pinouts may not be the same. The pinouts used for this is not actually on the MicroUSB pinouts but rather additional pins located next to the port. So it is not a standard MicroUSB plug that is allowing this in the Dinc.

Has anyone tried such cables?

IMO they should work, coz DS7 dock has hdmi connector. And cable itself is just a pdmi-display-port-hdmi adapter.
It shouldnt work as the gtab uses a different connector
I am interested in connecting my phone to an external DAC/AMP (Fiio e17/e9) via its micro USB port and is wondering if this is possible?
Does Andriod OS support AUX preamp audio signal out through it's micro USB port? If so, which adapter should I purchase?
Or I could maybe do it by using a combination of adapters MHT to HDMI first and then HDMI to SPDIF (PCM signal) ? Any suggestion on the adapters?
Cheers
BUMP!

I want ti do the same. I have a note 2 and would like to know if there is a method to connect the a fiio e11 via a 3 5mm stereo jack with the pre amp output from the phone?

Has anyone used the ET-UP900 on their devices? I have one but I need to use a right-angle adapter. Does anyone have experience using an extension cord with this? I have tried using a "Micro USB Down Angle" adapter but it doesn't charge or recognize the accessory.
Does this phone have HDMI out (perhaps mhl or usb c variant)?
I just did a quick test with my USB-C to HDMI adapter and it did not detect it. I will further investigate when I have time later.
Thanks.
Should be a shocking oversight of it didn't have hdmi.
I guess it would conflict with the dual screens (which to output?).
