I bought my HTC M7 as used phone in Nigeria, everything seem perfect but I cant connect to any local radio. So I did a manual update to Lollipop 6.0 and HTC sense 6.0. After the update the phone
boots to Sprint and says "INVALID CARD". We don't have Sprint in Nigeria so am kind of stucked. I tried a few people i know that do unlock phone but they couldn't help.
My phone dont prompt for the unlock code, and *#60# don't display my IMEI, bbut in the setting the IMEI number starts with 99000. Please help!

The sprint HTC One is a CDMA phone, not GSM. Thats why its easy to buy one for really cheap, no one wants them These phones can still work on GSM network for roaming purpose. It can be unlocked so you can use it on your local gsm provider but don't expect to get LTE, you'll probably get gsm/3g only.
If your phone is running lollipop: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-htc-one/general/sim-unlock-lollipop-t3068192

Hello,
I recently acquired from ebay a used Sprint HTC One M7 for cheap because the guy couldn't unlock it.
I followed all the tutorials and guides here, and got the phone unlocked, TWRP recovery and SuperSU flashed, S-OFF, and a custom rom (Viper) flashed on it successfully.
I am from France and my network operator is Free.fr. I used both the *#*#4636#*#* and the Mobile settings to enable GSM and the phone, SMS, and 3G data are all working properly.
However, my operator allows for 4G LTE as well and I would like to use it if possible, while retaining the use of the Phone itself (making calls, texts etc).
The way it works for Free.fr is that I have to login on their website, and enable 4G manually. The server will then check if my phone has 4G LTE compatibility and enable it if it does, but everytime I try it tells me my phone is not 4G ready.
Is there anyway to do this? A guide or tutorial out there perhaps?
edit: more info:
It seems I need 2600 MHz frequency for 4G to work with my operator, could it be that the Sprint version cannot handle this? Any solutions?

Yeah :/ the Sprint HTC One only supports the 1900MHz for LTE. There aren't any solutions afaik, unless you might want to do a hardware mod, and doing hardware mods on an One is near-impossible.. so you're out of luck.

Ah well, that's alright, at the price I got it for it's still worth it even without 4G. Thanks for the reply!

I did exactly what you did and I had signal. I am from France so I don't know about AT&T though. With my French operator it works fine now.

Just curious if it's worth updating my HTC One M7 4.1.2 to the newest version...This phone has a bad ESN and i'm trying to SIM unlock it so I can use it on AT&T, the phone does have a SIM card slot, but it doesn't seem to be going very well at the moment. I am inquiring about SIM unlocking so I can use it on AT&T as GSM, but I read that the htc one simunlock helper tool only works on sense custom roms, and i'm not sure if the rom i'm using is a sense rom or not. Also if I update the phone manually to Sense 6 will I be able to sim unlock it.
INFO
-------------------
HTC One M7 - Unlocked - S-Off - Rooted
Android Version: 4.1.2
Sense: 5
Running ViperROM v1.1.0
Is there any software out there for a Sprint phone where I can either fix the ESN or find out why it's network locked?
any kind of help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

if your IMEI number is blacklisted, then sim-unlocking the phone is useless. almost all carriers will not accept a blacklisted phone on their network.

So I've found a HTC One M7 in the park about 2 weeks ago that was blocked on O2 - I live in England - so I bought a code and unlocked it to work on all the networks, however, it won't read the sim card even if I manually choose the network - it says that my sim card cannot be registered on that network and I'm also having no signal. So I thought that the person who lost it went to O2 and O2 blocked it. So, here comes my question - how can I unblock it so that it can read my SIM card, or, I don't know, register it? Thanks in advance! By the way, I unlocked it's Bootloader, I rooted it, and I installed a Custom Recovery, but I couldn't S-off it cause it is running HBOOT 1.61 with Stock Android Lollipop 5.0.2.
Hello, I have the Sprint HTC Desire 510 version. Im from Israel, And I've managed to get S-OFF and unlock the device with the Sunshine APK.
I Insert a local GSM sim, the device dosent seem to read it. Plus, I didnt activate the Sprint activate method. Will flashing a new rom will help to use the GSM sim? or theres some other method I should do inorder to make it work..?
Edit: Already looked at some threads here with the search option, But everything seems to be so messy that I can barely find something (If an answer, at all)..
Thanks a lot for helpers.

Ahh you again... I suppose you could try opening the phones dialing pad and type *#*#4636#*#* and then tap phone information and change where it says set preferred network type to GSM/WCDMA AUTO. Maybe that'll work.
Hello Guys,
I just lost my phone and a friend of mine gave me one that he is not using anymore because he did not know how to unlock it so he bought a new one. Now I have that phone and it happens to be an HTC One M7 from Sprint, it is running Android 5.0.2 with HTC Sense 6.0, Software 6.23.651.10. I booted in recovery mode and it says it is Relocked, S-Off, Hboot is 1.61. Also, there is one option that says simlock and if I click on it then it says SD init fail (within the recovery mode menu).
The phone is rooted, I managed to do it via Kingo App and I just need to get it working in another GSM network, I have been looking for information about this but all I have found is info for when we were back in Android 4.2.3 and tried to go with it but it does not work.
If anyone can please help me find a solution so I can unlock this phone I would really appreciate it.
