Hi,
I read everything i could find and I still can't get anything to work properly on the phone.
Is there even a milestone wiki so i know which version my phone is?
I got the open recovery thing to work once, but i can't get it to work again, it keeps saying I have a cache error. what do i do?
also, when I install app2card, it totally ruins my phone, is that app meant for my phone?
I tried to install app2sd, but it keeps saying busy box permission failed something.
I got my phone thru ebay, how can i check the region?
I just know I have an unbranded milestone.
I google all these questions and nothing helpful comes up.
Can somone please tell me how to get into recover again?
Do i need to reflash it?
I only got into it once and installed the zip.
but when i try to run the zip again, i get an error.
If you have nandroid file in your sdcard, you can copy and paste (anything that is important to you) to your PC.
1. Take out your sdcard and pluck it to your PC if your Milestone cannot switch ON
2. Format your sdcard via PC
3. Extract G.O.T OpenRecovery v2.00 or Androidiani OpenRecovery 3.3 to the root of
your sdcard. (you'll see OpenRecovery folder and update.zip) Put the sdcard to your
Milestone and enter bootloader.(Press and hold volume up+camera key & power ON)
4. Open RSDlite and connect to your Milestone. Flash sbf to your Milestone, stock ROM
or 2.2.1 G.O.T beta version
Guide -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696845
5. Your Milestone will be switch ON after flashing sbf is done. Turn it OFF and enter
into recovery. Press X button and power ON. Once you see the triangle and '!',
press volume up and camera key.
6. You'll see Recovery 2e, all letters in blue, select update and the rest is your choice.
You can nandroid backup if your Milestone works as before and restore your previous nandroid that you copy to your PC.
Yes i did that the first time and it worked.
but how can i get into it again to make a backup?
thanks
You mean you still can't get into the recovery mode after formatting your sdcard? Even with the button combination:
PRESS AND HOLD 'X' AND POWER ON THE PHONE, LET GO ONLY AFTER YOU SEE THE TRIANGLE AND '!' MARK ???
I get to the triangle.
and it get to the recover menu. but when i press install the zip again.
an error message pops up.
do i need to redo step 3 and 4 everytime i want to go into recovery menu?
what open recovery u r using? GOT or androidiani?
if its GOT then try switchin to androidiani to check if the problem presist, vice versa.
report back here if there is any improvement.
one more question:
when u enter the bootloader menu (pressing the up dpad and power key) wat bootloader version it states there?
Thanks
I'll try it out tonight been a bit busy this week.
does Flash sbf do anything to my system?
for example, will i need to reflash my current rom after doing Flash sbf?
I know for the x10 mini pro, after doing update.zip i will need to reflash the rom.
is it the same for milestone?
I still can't get it to work.
here are my steps.
My phone is already rooted.
and I already flashed the Recovery-Only SBF when i installed the new rom. (do i need to redo this step? Maybe I'm using an outdated version?)
Can someone link me to the file if there is a better one, all the links are dead.
I am using this version: vulnerable_recovery_only_RAMDLD90_78
I downloaded this:
http://groupoften.wordpress.com/2010/10/22/new-g-o-t-openrecovery-v2-01-launched/
I put the files on the root of my SD:
OpenRecovery
OpenRecovery-CFG (do i need this?)
update.zip
I press the Up dpad and power, I get the triangle thing.
I press the install.zip and still cache error?
E:can't open /ache/recovery/command
I don't get what the readme in the GOT is telling me to do.
it says:
create a folder in /OpenRecovery/recoveries ( for example "My_OR_MOD" i don't use space in folder name, to avoid problems)
does that mean I make a copy of the "openrecovery" folder and put it back inside the "openrecovery" folder? that means every thing will be duplicated? is this correct?
thanks
I would try the androidiani, but i can not find the english guide.
Edit:
just tried androidiani, and I'm still getting E:can't open /ache/recovery/command
Hi All,
These are my mobile details previously :
Mobile details: Samsung Captivate
ROM:FROYO.UCJI6
KERNEL VERSION: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
BASEBAND VERSION:I897UCJI6
FIRMWARE VERSION:2.2
nUMBER OF aPPS: 46
I am new to the ROM world and this is my first time.
So i strictly followed the tutorial in this link on "[HowTo W/Pack] Flash Stock I9000 2.3.3 NEE Updated (again) 4/25/11"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1045734
Which says :
1. Wipe data and cache/Factory Reset with CWM. (pull battery when complete to shut off phone)
2. Find the "GT_I9000_XWJVB_XXJVK_NEEJV3_Sbl.exe" file and click it and extract its contents into its current folder.
3. Open up Odin 1.7 and now select the 512 pit file I included, and select all the files in the necessary place in Odin and make sure "repartition" is selected". your odin should look like this http://d.pr/Ixt2
4. Put Your phone in download mode and connect, now hit start. (THIS IS WHERE THE ONLY DANGER IS, YOU ARE NOW FLASHING 2.3.3 AND THE NEW BOOTLOADER INCLUDED WITH 2.3.3 Just dont unplug your cable or have your computer die, otherwise you will be 100% Clear)
5. Boot up normally and let things settle.
6. now power off the phone and wait for it to shut off completely. at this point hold down "Volume down and Power" at the same time and wait till download digger appears. Open up Odin and select the 512 pit and xcals kernel(In the PDA box) I included and DE-select repartition if it auto selects and go ahead and connect your phone (Obviously needs to be in download mode) and flash.
7. The phone will reboot and once again let things settle (media scanning and whatnot). Plug in the USB cable and transfer the folders included in this pack named "Fixes and modems" and also "For Rooting" to your phone. then power off the phone once again. this time hold down "Volume Up and Power" as soon as you see the screen turn on let go of the power button and continue to hold volume up until you see CWM.
8. at this point you should be in CWM (Woot!). navigate to flash zip from SD and then navigate to the folder "Fixes and Modems" and flash "Enable CRT Lock.zip" and "update-xvjvb-home_button_fix.zip" and I recommend flashing "modem_ugjk4.zip" as JK4 seems to do the best.
9.Reboot. At this point reboot and you should be on stock 2.3.3! Congrats!!
10. If you want to root read the txt file i included for rooting!
I was able to install the ROM till the 7th step, but from there iam not able to apply the fixes and modems.
Once i press the volume up and power button its taking me to Andriod system recovery <3e> mode:
I have four options here:
1)reboot
2)update from sd card
3)wipe data card / factory reset
4)wipe cache parition
when i choose update from sd card by pressing power button, nothing is happing.
Can anyone help me in this regard.
Another issue iam facing is when i make call installing this rom my normal speaker under the at &T logo is not working,i have to switch on the speaker to talk to anyone, and thereturn key is also not working.
Best Regards,
Chandu.
I gt it resolved after installing the correct rom

Before it begins, make sure you backup your data using LG Backup Tool.
Make sure you have LG USB driver installed (LG United Driver or LG PC Suite)
The entire process takes up to an hour, so your battery should be fully charged.
A USB cable for the process.
Here it goes:
1. Connect the computer.
2. Run LG Flash Tool 2014. Since data is backed up, you can use CSE flash. Locate your kdz file, and leave all other options untouched.
3. After your phone has been wiped, you have to run initial setting and do it.
4. Go to About Phone - Software Version - hit Build Number few times to enable Developer Options.
5. Go to Developer Options - Enable OEM Unlock (it should be checked already) and enable USB Debugging.
6. Plug your phone with your computer.
7. Unzip and open H811-one-click folder. Run the batch file. Press any button when you're ready.
8. Copy superSU to memory card.
9. Observe your phone screen for Allow USB Debugging request and allow your computer. The process will start. The phone may reboot a couple of times. Unplug your phone and remove the battery when prompted.
10. After the battery placed back in, press and hold the volume down button and power the phone on. When LG appears, release the power button and press again.
11. You will be asked to factory reset your phone twice, answer yes to enter TWRP.
12. install SuperSU.
13. Reboot and you have a rooted 10n.
14. Sign in your Google account and run LG Backup to restore the data. If the backup file isn't there, open your file manager and locate /MicroSD/LGbackup and copy the backup file onto /LGbackup in internal memory and run LG Backup again.
15. Press restart when it has finished.
Thank you for this!

It depends on the driver.
If LG has driver for 10, you're good to go.
BTW, I don't have W10 machine at this moment.
When I run it, all the program says is: "The Connection to the server failed, please try again later", and it cancels.
Is there some way I can fix this?

HERE THE ODYSEA BEGINS!
<<< UNLOCK BOOTLOADER >>>
IMPORTANT:
To know the Model Number & IMEI:
Enter Settings> About Phone.
To Know the Serial Number:
Enter Settings> About Phone> Status
To Know Product ID:
Enter this code: "* # * # 1357946 # * # *" on the telephone dial (without quotes), the number that appears, is the PRODUCT ID.
You can Obtain the Code to unlock the Bootloader in the following ways:
Following in the footsteps of EloyGomez Video Tutorial:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Following the Steps of the Screenshots having already a previous orientation with the Video of EloyGomez:
Using "Huawei Product ID Generator", and following the instructions (I recommend copying the data obtained in a notebook and saving them, you never know when you may need them again):
Download "Huawei Product ID Generator", extract it wherever you like and run it. (It's a very simple program).
Product Model: HUAWEI Y300-0000 (select that model).
Product IMEI / MEID: "Here they place their IMEI / MEID".
Product ID: "Here you generate the Product ID automatically according to the Product model & product IMEI / MEID that they placed above, and it is the one they should use on the page"
Go to the Huawei page to unlock Bootloader, either the English version or the Chinese version, the only thing that changes is the language. You can try with all 2 pages.
They create an account so they can log in, they can also log in with Facebook, it's very simple.
Once you have created your account and logged in, we will see the page to obtain the unlock code.
Fill in the fields with the data that we are requested and we will put the following:
Product type: Smartphone
Product model: HUAWEI Y300-0000 (If it does not work for them, try all the models that are in the generator) (Also try with CAPITAL & lowercase).
Product Serial number: You get it in Settings> About Phone> Status> Serial Number.
Product IMEI: You get it in Settings> About Phone> Status> IMEI.
Product ID: They get it with the "Huawei Product ID Generator" (the one that generated the program a while ago).
They place the Captcha that asks them for the page and they press Submit or Submit, they must give them the Code of Unlock for the Bootloader, they copy it in the scrapbook (that I suppose they must take).
Now go to Settings> About Phone and click on "Compilation" several times until the message "now you are a developer" is muted, you return to Settings and you will see the "Developer Options" tab, enter there, if the options are not active Of developer because they activate them, now they move a little down and activate "Depuracion USB".
Download the program "UNLOCK BOOTLOADER HUAWEI", Extract where you like, then connect your phone to the PC and run "UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER.bat".
Already the rest is eaten, just follow the instructions that will indicate the program, the ADB & HiSuite Drivers will be installed (At most, they will only have to accept the terms, press next and finish), the Telephone will restart a few Sometimes do not worry or despair do not panic, it will be normal to restart.
When they have unlocked the Bootloader they can disconnect the Phone from the PC and turn it off.
Now let's check that everything went well, we kept pressing "Vol-" and at the same time we connected it to the PC, they will see a white screen with some letters (that is the Fastboot mode), and if they see the text "PHONE UNLOCKED" Congratulations, you have unlocked the bootloader correctly.
Make a beer, a soda, a Pau-Pau or Commit a Bread to celebrate, but do not get so excited because this is only the beginning, we still have a way to go, but certainly This is the most important step of all, Since without having the Bootloader unlocked it is not at all advisable to make Root to the phone, to install a recovery or to install a custom Rom, Those that use KingRoot for that after that they appear rare errors to them and even it damages them the telephone.

Run the programs just follow the instructions and you're done. You may have to press Next, Finish, "Y" or "ENTER".

<<< CONVERT L23 IN L21 >>>
(If they already reached this step means that they are already Pros .... hahahaha not true, they believed it!, Keep reading!)
At this point what we will do first is to install the Recovery TWRP and make the Wipes Complete with the purpose of Erase the system and leave the Phone blank to make a Installation much Cleaner and without possible errors. To do this we follow the following instructions:
PS: They can install the Twrp that like V2 or V3, the procedures are the same, only slightly changes the interface.
Instructions for both versions:
Download INSTALAR RECOVERY TWRP (V2 or V3) HUAWEI P8 LITE.rar
Download adb-setup-1.4.3.rar
Unzip adb-setup-1.4.3.rar and run the program. (This is to install adb drivers and the pc can detect the terminal.)
You will see a blue console screen, type "and" or "accept" at all and close the window. If you ask them to restart the pc, do it and that's it.
Start your Phone in Fastboot mode; Switch off the phone and press the "vol-" key and without releasing it connect it to the PC until the Fastboot screen appears.
Unzip "INSTALL RECOVERY TWRP (V2 or V3) HUAWEI P8 LITE.rar" and execute the file "INSTALL RECOVERY TWRP (V2 or V3) HUAWEI P8 LITE.bat" and follow the steps.
It will not take more than 5 minutes just to press ENTER.
Turn off Cell Phone and Start in Recovery Mode TWRP (Vol + & Power), Press WIPE, Advanced Wipe and make the complete wipes:
You must dial:
Dalvik
Cache
Data
Internal storage
System
IMPORTANT !: Do not check "micro sdcard".
Go back to Menu, press Reboot, and then Bootloader.

Once the above is done correctly, we continue to move our P8 Lite L23 to L21, I recommend you remove your SD Card and SIM Card as a precaution. Follow the instructions:
Download "FlashRom C432B052 (Lollipop 5.0, EMUI 3.1) Dual Sim Transition", extract it wherever you like, start your phone in Fastboot mode, connect it to the PC, execute the file "FLASH-ALL.bat" (do not execute it with permissions Administrator), and follow the instructions given to you by the program.
When the process ends, the phone will start with the new system, if you go to "About the phone" it will say "Balong". To remove that you must install Step2.
Download "Step2", extract it, look for the file "UPDATE.APP" and copy it to the "DLOAD" folder of your SD Card, if you do not have it then create it. (It is clear that you must first insert the SD into the phone).
Then go to Settings> Updater> Menu> Local Update and select the UPDATE.APP (Step2). The phone will restart, the installation will begin and wait for it to finish. When you start the system and check in "About the phone" you will no longer say Balong, but L21.
After this it is recommended to do a factory reset, first remove your SD card, then go to "Settings> Security> Backup and Restore" or type in the search bar of "Backup and Restore" settings, press "Reset factory data "Check" Clear internal memory ", click on" Reset "and wait for the process to finish. If for some reason "Failed" does not worry, it only restarts, the cell will have been reset anyway, do not worry if you do not have a signal or it does not detect the SIM, that is fixed by installing the next update.
Congratulations, you've already passed your cel to L21!

<<< UPDATE ANDROID 6 OFFICIAL >>>
The update order is as follows: "B052> B560> B564> B574> B584> B594> B596> B598> or" B552> B570> B560> B560> B564> B574> B584> B594> B596> B598 ".
Being already in the B052 we only have to download the following Compilations and go updating via local:
"B552> B570> B560> B564> B594> B594> B594> B596> B598 'or' B552> B570> B560> I recommend that for every update they make, make a factory reset to avoid possible errors, this is optional after all, I only make the recommendation from their own experience.
Download the B170, extract the files, Copy the UPDATE.APP to the DLOAD folder of your SD, go to Settings> Updater> Menu> Local Update and select the UPDATE.APP, the phone will restart, the installation will begin and wait for To finish.
Now on the B170, Repeat the previous step to install the B550 or B560 Compilation. (Depending on the order of updating mentioned above, that works best for them or decide to take)
Now when they are in the B560 we go to the B564 but the option of "Local Update" will no longer appear, so we have 2 options to carry out the update: (they should already have the UPDATE: APP previously copied in the DLOAD, The update.app is always due to copying to Dload there is no other):
Option 1:
Write the following code in the calls app "* # * # 2846579 # * # *" (without quotes obviously).
The famous hidden menu will appear, click on "Software Upgrade"> "SDCard Upgrade"> you will receive an "Are you Sure" message, press OK, start the update and wait for it to finish.
Option 2:
While the Cel is off or on, press the keys (Vol-, Vol +, Power) until you see the update screen and wait for the process to finish.
And that would be Todo, Felicidades ya habras updated Your phone to Android 6!
If you've already come up here means you're half Pro.

<< DRIVERS EXTRAS >>
Here I leave some extra drivers to solve problems with issues of fastboot, adb, in case the PC does not detect the mobile, the installation of each is very simple, just keep your cell connected to the pc, run the programs, you have to Give it to "next" and restart the PC if necessary.

Im trying to use huawei product id generator but I always get this message in unlock page
I tried with c8812 and Y300-000 and all have the same results.
ALE-L21
Please make sure the verification code and model number are correct. If your device has multiple IMEIs or MEIDs, please try another IMEI or MEID.
All, I have an AT&T Samsung S7 Edge (G935A) I have had for about 14 months. It is bone stock and I have always applied every OTA as they are pushed to the phone.
Three days ago I got the notice for a software update (4BQL1). I downloaded the 45 Mb update and told the phone to reboot. Upon rebooting the update installation got to 26% and then stopped with the message "installation interrupted". I tried the following fixes but nothing worked:
1. download and reapply update
2. Power down and restart in recovery mode then clear the cache. This was recommended AT&T in one of their forums for a previous update.
3. Factory reset and then restore of my backup settings.
These failed!!!!:crying:
Next step was to take a trip to my local AT&T corporate store. After 2 hours their only recommendation was to go home and use the Samsung Sync App on my PC to try and install any updates. I backed up my phone using the Sync app and then had it check for an update. Sync reported the phone to be on the most current firmware (4BQK2) which was incorrect.:crying:
Here is how I fixed my phone.
1. downloaded most current rev of Odin (3.12.3) I got from this website: https://odindownload.com/
2 Downloaded the full version of firmware 4BQK2. Note this is a 1.9 GB download. Thank you Norab for your post. https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-s7-edge/how-to/updates-g935a-servers-adb-sideloads-t3583165
Instructions:
1. BACK UP ANY FILES ETC YOU FEEL ARE CRITICAL BEFORE YOU START! (I used Samsung sync app on my PC with it connected to my phone). This install will ERASE all of your files and reimage your phone. Note: I am not responsible for your actions if you fail to heed this warning or you brick your phone.
Extract the 4Bk2 zip file. It will have 4 RAR files with BL, AP, CP and CSC appended to the file names. Use your favorite RAR app (I like 7 zip for windows) to extract the files into 4 folders. Each folders with will have one file with an .md5 extension.
2. Power down the Phone. Connect it to your PC with a USB cable (this assumes you already have drivers installed) and then restart the phone in update mode: Home button + Power button + Volume down button. You will need to follow the screen prompt and press volume up to enter download mode.
3. Launch Odin on your PC.
4. Verify Odin is connected to your phone via the USB cable. Odin will indicate this by showing a Comm port number in the upper left.
5. In Odin click the BL, AP, CP and CSC buttons (one at a time). This will a windows folder. navigate to the applicable folder and select the file with matching prefix (BL, AP, CP or CSC) then click Ok. Watch the log window. Odin will inspect the file and verify the MD5 hash. Odin will tell you if the file ok or if it is corrupted.
5. Once Odin has verified all four files, click start.
6. You will see a progress bar on your phone. If you left Odin at the default configuration it will restart your phone when the last file has been copied to your phone. Odin will display "PASS!" in the status area right above the comm port.
7. Wait for the phone to go through the installation process, you will see the AT&T globe for a while. This will take some time to complete. You should finally see the phone screen state "installing applications". Once this completed you will prompted to set up the phone.
8. Set the phone up as prompted.
9. If you backed up to Sync, now you can use it to restore all of your settings, apps etc. Otherwise log into your Samsung account and it will restore all of your settings over the air assuming you had previously configured your phone to backup your Samsung and Google accounts.
Once the restore is completed and your phone is stable, check for new updates. My phone showed me an update was available (4BQL1 in my case).
I downloaded the update and it installed correctly.
Good luck!
