I have an at&t galaxy s5 and can anyone tell me the way to install custom roms on it...
First, get a hammer. Then, set your S5 on the ground. And with the hammer, smash the phone. Because you cant install a custom rom.

But there is a way to get safestrap custom recovery. So cant we fladh the rom from there??
If you have a galaxy S5 not OTA updated to Lollipop, you can follow the directions as posted in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2794087
However, all roms lollipop and up cannot be rooted. There for they cannot have safestrap installed.
I am running 4.4.4 so it means that i can get custom rom
1.root using towelroot
2.install flasfire
3. Custom rom start from here

You can root lollipop you Ned to be on rooted KitKat first though which isnt an option to go to if you're already on unrooted lollipop. So yes lollipop I root able but not of you're already on it.

Hello all! Hopefully, I put this thread in correct section. If not, please move it.
Anyway, here is my question.
I installed ROM Manager because I want to try some other ROMs on my SGS i9000 and when I want to flash the CWM Recovery, the only option I get is Google Nexus S. Is this normal? Should it show my model? Can there be any problems if I choose Google Nexus S option?

Thank you!
What ROM are you currently on ? if its a custom ROM you may have the Nexus Drivers, and that could be why it is only showing you that option.
there are many other ways of flashing a custom ROM so dont give up if ROM Manager starts acting up.
i personally prefer a flash with ODIN and all update Flashes through CWM
I recently upgraded from 2.2.1 to 2.3.3. Here you can see more info:
As far as i know, this is not a custom ROM, just leaked one. Or am I wrong? I upgraded it with ODIN too and it wasn't hard, I just think it would be even easier, if i didn't have to use the computer and could download ROMs directly on the phone.

i still can root it and get super user and install CM9 but what i really want is to install KingDroidICSROM
and other custom ROM but with all the samsung apps in it and the main thing i wanna do is
to OC it to at least 1.7 GHZ for daily use or maybe even 1.8 until note 2 is out

not sure what else i would need i have all those on hand...
does it have to do with my baseband ver.?
or have to do with ODIN?
I'm on Android 4.2.2 and would like to upgrade to Android 4.3 OTA. However, I rooted my phone previously and change the recovery to CWM.
Due to camera error and release of 4.3 OTA in my country, I got a stock recovery from one of the thread in XDA here and flash it using Flashify. However, I got errors while upgrading using OTA. After the recovery tries to flash the OTA, halfway it turns the icon red. I'm not sure what's happening as I'm new here.
Please advice.

Are you still on your stock Rom? Did you remove something?
Are you rooted?
You bootloader is locked-relocked?

Yes, I'm on stock Rom but removed some stock apps. Is this causing the problem?

Yes I'm rooted. Bootloader in unlocked too.
Yes the Rom has to be completely stock.
About the Bootloader: I'm not sure if you have to relock it. There was no need for it on my OneX, but it could be different on the One
So my dad bought 2 neo's, his is gray mine is black.. Sexy watches for sure!
Mine works fine with my GS5. Stock non rooted.
My dads note II, which has been rooted, stock rom running 4.1.2 does not show gear manager in the samsung apps search.. like mine did.
His is completely missing
I tried to put the apk file on his phone and when I try to install it, it say "parsing error"
WTF

I don't think 4.1.2 supports it. Any OTA for his phone?

Hello everyone. I got a Note 2.
With Kit Kat Stock ROM the watch works fine
But I installed the Miui ROM which is 4.1.1 Android based.
Indeed it doesn't work like said before : Samsung Apps doesn't mention the Gear Manager.
I do want to stay with Miui. How can I trick Samsung Apps then I can install Gear Manager?
The APK doesn't work. I got an error message.
I tried to modify my build.prop but my phone went in loop.
Who have an idea?

I was thinking that maybe a CFW 5.1.1 may work but I do not know which one to choose, I need a helping hand to help me with this problem.
My cellphone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 n920p USA.
I want to downgrade 5.1.1 because in that version I can unlock the cell phone with "GTv3.1.5.apk" and "GTUpdate2_v3.1.8.apk" .
If you want more information, I will gladly give it to you.
First of all, Thanks
UP!
Please I need help!
I read somewhere that if you took the ota to 6.0.1 you could not downgrade anymore.
Not saying its not impossable to downgrade, But Samsung has been using revert lock in their bootloaders and with sboot error showing in odin its revert lock..
So, is there any way to downgrade either by CFW.
Or is there any way to unlock it, without using the z3x box or whatever it is called, I dont have that box xD.
